Beane: Gore will push McCoy to be the starter
C.Biscuit97 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
But that’s always been his game. Just a bad mix of his style and an oline not opening enough holes. I definitely hear ya but 1) McCoy is getting paid like a top rb so what’s the point if we are going split his carries like that and will he be happy? 2) let’s stop with the Pats comparison because it’s just not close to the same 3) they did just draft Michel to be more of a workhouse type back. In 6 of the 13 games he played in, he had 18+ carries. I guess i dont see the point of McCoy if you’re going to split carries that much. I would trade him but his value is probably so low, we should just keep him. -
Yeah, I was going to post something similar. We definitely upgraded but Mills isn’t that bad and he’s tough. I won’t be thrilled with him starting again but he’s not nearly as bad as people think. of course some fans laughed at NE for spending money on Gilmore.

Beane: Gore will push McCoy to be the starter

Most rbs say they need a bunch of carries to get into a rhythm. I mean depth is not a bad problem but no back is going to thrive switching in and out. -

Quarterback? I mean I know they won’t but I always did wonder what if the guy behind the starter was better in camp. -
Brandon Beane going in on 1270 on unrealiable sources.

But they did contact the Steelers about Brown. -

This has been going on forever. What a weird thing to complain about. I also think most smart fans don’t really listen to all the BS anyways, especially around draft time. -
Which of these do we need to retire first?
C.Biscuit97 replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This poll is the closet race ever. I think we need a state no one wants to live in to decide it (I kid!). -
It’s funny that some people make every excuse in the world for Allen and say Jackson, with a better completion %, is a RB playing qb. A lot of times, Allen played like a rb playing qb too. Trust me, I’m not passing Judgment on either guy. I basically had Allen and Jackson ranked the same in the draft because they both had certain flaws. I just hate the double standards some people use. But I would guess Allen will have the better career going forward because Jackson seems to make some questionable decisions on and off the field. No I know haha. It’s just that the Sabres fires their GM; ended up with a worse record; and saw the goalie he got become one of the best in the league; o’reilly Have a career season; and Kane have 30 goals. He wasn’t the problem haha. also, this regime acquired fat Kelvin after seeing him up close and personal. That can not be stated enough. So bad.

Buffalo Bills TE Tommy Sweeney is a 70's throwback

I don’t get why their college teams didn’t throw to their skilled TEs more. I do understand BC because it has a high school offense but I don’t get the Ole Miss stuff. -
Which One - Fitz, Tyrod, or Barkley as Your Your Backup?
C.Biscuit97 replied to Irv's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Is this sarcastic? Barkley has throw 8 more ints than tds in his career. Yeah, but that’s misleading. If Fitz played with the 2014/ 2018 defenses, he’s a playoff qb. He was pretty good for TB this year but their defense was trash. Fitz is a low end starter (when hot, he can put up huge numbers on par with any qb) and high end backup. -
It’s awesome what Oliver did but come on. Plenty of guys did good things in past regimes as well.
-
I agree but do you think Beane could really fire McDermott after he was hired after him? That would be super awkward. i really like what this regime has done on defensive but it gets way too much of a pass. Our offense has been terrible for two years. Obviously I want the playoffs but they need to see progression in Allen and the offense. If it is still not good, changes need to be made. I just like the analogy that a receiving core should be like a basketball team. We have the other guys but we really need a c/ PF type. Young qbs need a big guy to just throw the ball up to.

One way to help Josh Allen's accuracy: Fewer dropped passes
C.Biscuit97 replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think this is such a good point that is forgotten. Brady might have one of the worst arms of any starter but he gets the ball to his playmakers in space where they can run. -
That situation was a total joke. The coach just had a power trip and tried to rip the coat off him. And obviously, the university agree with Oliver because they fired the coach. Sadly, a lot scumbags win too. We have had plenty of good guys.
-
Competition is always a good thing. Our receivers are better but it is hardly a group that is great. Beasley/ Brown are smaller guys who average 600 yards/ season for their career. Jones doesn’t have any elite skills and maybe a low end 2 at best. Foster isn’t far removed from not playing for Bama and getting cut from the Bills. You don’t stop upgrading this group. Butler would be the perfect compliment to this group. Most qbs need a guy they can just throw it up. We don’t have anything close to that.
-
Could have also drafted Pat Mahomes, JuJu, and not had to trade any draft picks either. I’d say we could have still drafted Oliver but we probably won’t have had a shot. These classes change all the time. Guys emerge, some guys don’t progress, guys get Hirt, some don’t come out. Again, it’s fluid. Love the first 2 picks but the rb and TE were hardly slam dunk picks. IMO, a guy like Butler helps this team more than a rb (we have 4 now) and a TE who hasn’t caught a td.

Hopefully once the Bills get Antonio Brown, Julio Jones, AJ Green, Kyle Rudolph, Deez Bryant, Mike Evans, and Cooper, there will be no more excuses for Allen. That would arguably be a solid receiving core.
