What a true professional does is what Steve Smith does. Break his teammates face in practice.

I hear you Dave but that doesn’t mean you should hand out bad contracts. I think Star is good at his role but I think it silly to pay that much to a guy who can be schemed off the field (Brandon Spikes was like this). It’s a different NFl. And I can find a payer younger than 31 to give me 22 sacks in 4 years for less than $13 million/ year. But guys are very replacable for a lot less.

What a bunch of ❄️ in this thread. This is like a cult. -
Shaq Lawson Option decision week. What do you do?
C.Biscuit97 replied to Seoulful Soul's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He would need to get double digit sacks and I don’t see that happening. He’s Chris Kelsey with a tan. -
Hughes is not worth that money. It was an all time great trade for us but his age plus lack of production (at some point you have to finish) aren’t worth that coin. Those are the type of contracts that will kill you in the future. There are young pass rushers who can do what Hughes doesn’t for much less.

What a terrible dude. I heard he also wanted to play in recycled plastic shoes because he cares about the environment. What a d bag. Yeah, the Fitz curse is very real.

OMG, was I this annoying when I was a homer? I get constant negative people suck but you’re the exact opposite. But you’re right. Lorax would definitely come out and say Star was overpaid. Are you serious? if this was a Whaley signing, people would kill him. $10 million for a guy who can be playbooked off the field is not a great investment. The Pats would simply go spread and Star couldn’t play. That’s not great. You’re right and my bad for assuming. I like Tongans too.

Which One - Fitz, Tyrod, or Barkley as Your Your Backup?
C.Biscuit97 replied to Irv's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Fitz by a lot, then Tyrod, and Barkley a very distant 3rd. Barkley is worse than EJ. This is your opinion but it is completely wrong. The Jets game, which was the best of Barkley’s career, moves him up to a 66 career qb rating. There’s a reason you could get him in the middle of the season. Fitz has been playing some of his best football the last few years. And I wasn’t a Tyrod fan but he won’t lose you a game. -
With the abundance of rbs, he needs to be pretty special to justify a 3rd round pick. These guys are so easy to find if you have a good oline. Yeah, I will say a short rb who is compact is probably a good thing.

As others have said, he’s solid but not a game changer. I’d keep him if the price was right but I don’t ever see him being a real difference maker. -
But there were people who watched Allen and didn’t see a 1st round qb. He had some dreadful games in college. I think it’s an interesting question. I think the height thing was a major reason why. Also, and we don’t have the information, but the interview part would be super interesting. I think a nerd like Daniel Jones probably is awesome at interviews (or the Northwestern qb who I think is garbage).

Defenses ranking Miami 29 NE 21 Jets 25 Seattle 16 Rams 19 49ers 13 so every NFC West defense was better than the best AFC East one. Also, I’m sure it didn’t help Allen at all playing with the 2nd ranked defense while Rosen played with the 20th. Again, it’s not a comparison but to put this all on Rosen is completely foolish. His situation sucked and it was possibly the worst situation in the nfl for a Rookie qb.
-
If Josh Allen was in Arizona, they would have done the same thing. Allen and Rosen were essentially the same passing last year. and it’s not even about comparing the two. It’s about you pretending Rosen wasn’t in a crap situation because you don’t like him for whatever reason. But like I said before, I think you’re a good poster who is a bit of a homer and have a strong bias against Rosen. So we’ll agree to disagree and we will get to see how these guys progress going forward. Enjoy your Sunday.

Josh Allen? Remember he never threw a bad pass. It was all his receivers fault! and newsflash! Rookie QBs should have excuses made for them. It’s the hardest position to learn in sports. But you’re right. The Cards fires their OC and hired Byron Leftwich during the season; fires their head coach after the season; and drafted 3 receivers this draft because it was a good situation. You know I think you’re a good poster but your bias is clouding your judgment here. For some reason, you hate this dude. And I think he can be really good but I would say the same thing for every rookie QB. I think it’s kinda dumb if you make concrete judgments of any rookie qb, especially in that tire fire situation. The Bills look like the Warriors compared to the Cards.

Honestly, I’m shocked Jackson wasn’t drafted. There are a ton of guys who have no chance at sniffing a roster that I would have rather taken a chance with a developmental qb with his tools. But posters are right that weirdly his height hurts him. Big guys like Dan McGwire, Brock Osweiler, and Peyton Lynch didn’t help him. But like Wilson and Brees, if Jackson succeeds, that could start a new trend. Even if he doesn’t make it, I like the forward thinking by the Bills. At least try and don’t settle. We need a vet backup but Barkley and Anderson were able to be signed during the season for a reason. They are very low end, replaceable backups. You need one of them but 2 is probably overkill.

Must be Jim called in a favor to Frank (Chad Kelly)
C.Biscuit97 replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I will say the stories I heard of Jim (I was too young but I’ve heard from a lot of sources) were he was worst than Chad. But he was super talented and there was no social media or cellphones. -

I’m kinda in this camp. Never heard a positive word about him from Buffalo people but still hoped he’d get it together because he was from here. But he’s on his 16th chance because of his uncle when most people won’t get a second.
