  1. I know right. If Allen was on the Fins, what would Bills fans’ opinions be after being a 56% passer in a lower D1 conference where he wasn’t on any of the All MWC teams; completed 52% of his passers his rookie year with 10 tds and 12 ints? I’m sure we would talking about how the Fins have a stud franchise qb. ? right or wrong, I try to be consistent. I didn’t want the Bills to draft Allen. I hate that I’m not blindly behind because I have serious doubts. I know he is a hard work and seems to have a good head on his shoulders. I know people who have meant him and said he’s a good dude. But I need to see him win with arm. I think the Bills could have gotten him a better OC (I’m amazed how sold everyone is on Daboll) and a legit 1 type receiver. I do like the improved oline and he plays with a good defense to keep him in games. but to sum it up, if Allen wasn’t a Bill, fans wont be sold either (also silly to be sold on a qb after one year). I hate that I still have the doubts and there aren’t many things that I would love to be wrong on than Allen. But sorry. After years of defending every Bills qb (compare Losman and Favre’s 1st 2 years), I need to see it. So do non Bills fans. And hopefully, we do.
  2. You mean UCLA where had a different OC every season? Or UCLA where he played with a defense that gave up 36.8 points/ game?
  3. Rosen has the worst oline in the nfl, Fitz (love him but he runs a 5.3 now), Johnson coming off a major injury, a head coach who got fired after a year, an OC who got fired after 4 games then Byron Leftwich in his first coaching gig. Rosen May suck but it is insane to make any concrete conclusion on a rookie qb in that circumstance.
  4. Agreed but you see a noticeable improvement in year 2. I think it’s insane how quickly we give up on young QBs but it is the reality. As Sal C said, if Allen doesn’t have a Mitch Tribusky type year, it might be tome to get a little worried.
  5. Name calling? When did you become such a Richard (see it’s easy)?
  6. Because some of you talk out of both sides of your mouth and have no consistency. Someone on the media posts a bad thing about the Bills, you trash them and make personal attacks. When they say something positive, they get praised. Be consistent. I dont care and its weird some people do. Do you I guess but be consistent.
  7. He played awesome in the playoffs that season no doubt about it. But please find me a Ravens fan who thinks Flacco is the reason they won that SB. You won’t. He got hot like how ELi Manning would.
  8. Agreed. Oliver was completely misused. It’s also not like he was at Clemson or Bama surrounded by multiple high draft picks. He was the only guy. a stat Sal C had that blew my mind was Kyle Williams was the only DT to have a sack last season!
  9. Then they shouldn’t have added Fitz. Fitz is what he is but he will win some games if he’s the starter. honestly, I don’t think teams really tank in the nfl. It’s a year to year league and too many jobs are on the line. People thought the Jets were going to be awful in 2016 and they won 10 games. If you go half speed in the nfl, you will get hurt. That said, you’re better off being really bad than being 6 or 7 win team.
  10. Oh, I generally agree. I just think Whaley trading for him when he was considered a bust and becoming a double digit sack guy for like $5million is more impressive. This year will will tell us about the McBeane regime. But if you look at the last 2 years, they have one of the worst point differential in the nfl. Sorry boss. It wasn’t totally direct at you. I just think McBeane gets treated with kid gloves. They paid $11 million a season to a guy who has averaged 5 sacks the last four years. It doesn’t seem to be some stroke of genius.
  11. National media says something bad about the Bills, they are idiots and morons. They say something positive, what a bunch of geniuses!!! honest question, why do some of you care? And when the Bills are good, they get praised all the time. We haven’t been good that much. Should teams like the Raiders get praised?
  12. With Schwartz, we arguably had the best d line in the nfl and had a defense that shut down prime Aaron Rodgers and Peyton Manning. We weren’t taking about pressures then. Again, I like Hughes. But it seems like Bills fans just settle. Basically everywhere, a sack is better than a pressure. It’s like trying to pretend like 52% completion rate isn’t terrible. It’s ok to want an $11 million dollar DE to get average more 5 sacks in his last four years, especially when he is turning 31. It’s ok to have a qb complete more than 60% of his passes (and hopefully he will). And im not meaning this directly at you. It’s just a frustration as Bills fans that we just act like it’s ok to not want more. We should have high standards because we are the best fans on the plant.
  13. You won’t say this If Hughes had 15 sacks.
  14. I’d probably give more credit to the previous regime that acquired Hughes for Kelvin Sheppard, when he cost half as much and put up double digit sacks. I get that fans want to be optimistic. I got tickets to four games this year (most ever). But some of you act like McBeane is some god for pretty pedestrian moves.
  15. Now do their most recent 3 years and not when he played with Mario, younger Kyle, and Dareus. i like Hughes but most fan bases would sweat a stat like pressures so much over actual sacks. And he’s getting older. I mean you are stuck because we haven’t gotten another quality pass rusher in years.
  16. He’s getting chances because he’s Jim Kelly’s nephew. He was the last pick of the draft by Elway (who has been awful with evaluating qbs and is Kelly’s friend) and just got signed by Reich, Kelly’s friend. I think his talent is completely overrated here because of his last name. and I love people who can find redemption after screwing. I freely admit I don’t root for guys who had everything handed to them and continuously blew it but keep getting chances because of their family or connections. But that’s just my own bias haha.
  17. Yet somehow, we had a worse passing offense this year than any season with TT. So yeah, plenty of other QBs could have lose to the Jags that day.
  18. 1) I was at work and hoping someone can do the work for me 2). Does anyone think Flacco was reason the Ravens won the Sb? 3) touché on that Luck season. Didn’t realize he was so low. He also threw 300 more passes than Allen that year and averaged more than 100 more yards passing. But point taken. but the overwhelming data, in today’s nfl, you aren’t making the playoffs with a sub 60% passer unless you have an elite defense. My point was more that he won’t single handedly lose a game like Nate Peterman. Peterman murdered the Bills. Trust me, I wasn’t the biggest Tyrod fan but he has a winning record as a starter. Like Fitz could light up a team and win a game with his arm. He also could threw 4 ints. Tyrod, for better or worse, wasn’t going to be the sole reason you lose.
  19. For the most part, I agree. Except I don’t know a person who has a good thing to say about him from Buffalo. He has been kicked off every team he has been on. And that Ole Miss offense was gimmicky. It is built to put up numbers. And not to be mean, but Kelly isn’t exactly a rocket scientist. But it I do feel bad for him. Dude had to really grind to make a decent life for himself. He’s had nothing handed to himself and never threatened to shoot up a bar. Good, misunderstood, blue collar guy. 12th chance is the charm.
  20. He was a fifth round draft pick who was said to be the most pro ready. He played on a team that and to the playoffs. Maybe he just isn’t good enough for the nfl. There’s no shame on that. But the hype he got here was a little crazy. Scariest part is he pays $100 for that haircut.
  21. Good for those cities. I might be in the minority but I’ve enjoyed Cleveland. Never been to KC.
  22. Pot meet kettle! You post the same things about Bills just change the names. And my life is great thanks. If I’ve become a “damaged” (realistic and non homer is the correct term) fan, it’s because of the Bills. Much like you, I was the guy who apologized after girlfriend cheated on me. Now, I don’t believe her when she says she is really different this this time and she has to show me! ?
  23. I just don’t get why the other players, besides McKinley who I’m not a fan of, are able to get sacks. It’s not a bad thing to tackle the qb.
  24. I think Wilson is a major reason for the run game success and Lockett. Lockett is a very specialized player that Wilson has made into a very good player. Baldwin wasn’t drafted. Wilson, without the attempts, makes receivers stars. I was late on the Wilson train but I agree he is elite. Not to mention, he has spent years behind a garbage oline. Agree with pretty much all of this but I still think Brady is elite. You don’t keep going to SBs if you aren’t elite. His last 2 years would arguably be the greatest 2 seasons of any Bills qb.
