  1. In theory, I would have Gase and McDermott ranked the same. Same record, both made the playoffs. I actually think they would be a good team. But Gase is number ranked in the weirdo rankings. He helped create the holes. There is some narrative that McBeane inherited the 0-16 Browns. There was plenty of talent on the roster. And the bigger point is the Chargers were one of the worst teams in the nfl before Lynn. He deserves a lot of credit.
  2. It seems that way but I don’t know if it’s true. They were top 10 in penalties and have gotten destroyed in numerous games. Honestly, McDermott is pretty whatever to me. I think he is a good defensive coach who will need a good OC and qb to carry him (like most coaches). Can’t say I’m a fan of his 2 OCs choices but hopefully I’m wrong about Daboll. Seriously, why? I mean things could change but you’re completely underselling the job Lynn is doing. McDermott inherited a team that went 15-17 the 2 years before him. He is 15-17. Lynn inherited a team that went 9-23 in the 2 years before him. He has gone 21-11 in his 2 years. so other than Lynn doing much better with a team that was much worse before him, I see your point.
  3. Hard-o alert!!! He’s basically been crazy his whole life but managed to keep it somewhat together when he was on the Bills. But he is what he is.
  4. I hate Marrone but this is incredibly stupid.
  5. A little dramatic. https://www.google.com/amp/s/syndication.bleacherreport.com/amp/1021524-the-worst-qb-playoff-performances-in-nfl-history.amp.html the great Flacco went 13-30 for 141 yards, 3 ints and a 18 QB rating.
  6. I just hate hypocrisy and people who talk out of both sides of their mouth. Easiest thing for me to do (like I used and what a lot of people do here) is make every excuse for Allen and pretend like I wanted him all along. Then the cult wouldn’t attack me have a different opinion. Hypocrites are the worst. And i I have no idea what the Mahomes’ point means? If he doesn’t throw 50 tds, he isn’t good or something? Weird point. I mean I get your point but at that point, he’s your future. If Allen was in a playoff game would we want him pulled? He sucked that game but actually made a few plays at the end. But i I fully agree he has a lot of work to do as a passer to be good enough. Tyrod did look fairly good in a Roman offense. ^ this guy ?
  7. Flacco was 4-5 and had the same qb rating as Jackson. Flacco is definitely a better passer but Jackson provided a spark to that team. We get offended because not everyone thinks Allen is going to be great. I’m sure Ravens fans can break down every throw Jackson made and find similar excuses where it wasn’t his fault. Our qb averaged 172 yards passing a game. It wasn’t exactly Baker Mayfield. I do think Allen will be better but glass houses.
  8. Show us Trent. It’s sad because I love Stanford players.
  9. Because the same fans criticizing Jackson cry when someone does that to Allen. I have my doubts about Allen, as I do about Jackson. But they played a year. It’s crazy to say how good they will be at this point. The only qb from that class I am pretty sure will be really good is Baker. The rest of a lot to prove. He still played in playoff game! Why are people acting like he is the biggest bust ever?
  10. Good thing that OTAs means nothing. As much media as there is now, I miss the days when no one cared about practice. The Steelers have been pretty awesome. The Jets and the fins suck. It balances out. The Ravens have been a good franchise.
  11. Yup. Wasn’t very good like plenty of other rookie QBs. But isn’t making fun of a guy playing in the playoffs when you aren’t kinda like the dork at home making fun of people at the prom?
  12. Yup. Dude has 19 sacks in 5 seasons. He has a ton to prove. He’s done this once in his career.
  13. I had Lamar and Allen similarly ranked for their draft. Loved some of their tools, worried if they can be consistently good enough as nfl passers. I definitely believe Allen has the skills to be a much better passer than Lamar but both go against similar gameplans this year. Keep them in the pocket, take away the deep stuff, and force them to beat you with underneath throws.
  14. Allen was a lot like that too. I’m not saying who is better (though I lean towards Allen). But it’s crazy how easy some of you are to pass judgment on another qb and get upset when someone does that with Allen. Making concrete judgments on any first year qb is kinda insane.
  15. He’s coached 2 seasons and is like 32! Man, we would have a riot if McVay was our coach and wasn’t ranked in the top 3.
  16. Homer ? So you get on people about impatient with Allen (and I generally agree), but are ready to call Jackson a bust after a season which he played on the playoffs? Seems a little hypocritical.
  17. I think Pederson is a good coach. I just think you are completely overrating the SB win in the big picture. McVay took over a 4-12 team and has gone 24-8 and made a guy people called a bust into a MVP candidate. Pederson took over a 7-9 team and has gone 29-19. Agaim, they are both good coaches. I just think McVay is better.
  18. So Brian Billick is a better coach than Marv Levy?
  19. He’s just misunderstood and it’s not his fault! Some of you are the biggest enablers.
  20. Do you honestly believe the Bills are a better franchise than the Ravens right now? I guess the argument is that Newsome retired but no one rank the Bills ahead of the Ravens. However if Allen is the real deal, this can change quickly. The Ravens have lost a lot of talent.
  21. Maybe that McVay has a better record? ?
  22. Besides being the Bills coach, what in his resume says he is a top 10 coach? His 1 for 10 on challenges? His 15-17 record? Getting outscored by 105 and 57 points his first 2 years? Hiring 2 OCs that have had the 29 and 30 ranked offense? Starting Peterman? i think McDermott is a very good defensive coach. But like most nfl coaches, he is a dime a dozen. I think he is a nice guy who you would like to play for but I don’t see anything special he really does. However if Allen is really good, he will be a good coach. I think if this team doesn’t get at least 8 wins and show improvement on offense, his job might be on the line.
  23. Oh for sure. But we’re not getting in car crashes every day for 6 months a year. Personally, as long as you don’t affect my life, I don’t care. But based on some of the mental issues he has shown, I don’t think people around him are looking out for his best interests. This story is going to end bad one day. I linked it. It was most dirtiest. He used to get flagged all the time for dirty stuff. I think it was Mitchell who hated the idea of being on the same team as him. Mans the Raiders are going to be awesome or the greatest tire fire ever. It will be amazing to watch.
  24. 2017 was on whoever thought Tyrod would be good in a west coast offense. Terrible decision.
  25. So maybe he is only getting hired by bad teams for a reason? Also, at some point, shouldn’t a good OC elevate the talent? Put it this way: what’s more likely - Daboll has a top 10 offense or a bottom 10 offense? Also, why do people think he is good? Serious question. Almost every other Bama OC under Savanna has been better and he got coffee for McDaniels in NE. It’s weird how I’m a hater for not thinking we could do better than Daboll. Good post. Added a lot. When you can’t dispute Anything make a corny joke. Thanks for actually adding a real post. I agree it was better. Kinda sneaking posts now but does anyone have the breakdown pre and post break? Basically, we are counting on a guy who has never been a good nfl OC and a qb who never really dominated in a lower college conference meshing together. I can see why an outsider who relies on numbers can have their doubts.
