Been in LA since Tuesday and we’ve had two. Pretty trippy to experience an entire house moving. They can’t wait for me to leave!

NFL.com ranks Top 25 QB's of All Time: Jim Kelly #21
C.Biscuit97 replied to StHustle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bandit, those numbers are completely flawed by the TB years. Young on SF is a top 10 QBs of all time. He was one of the greatest qbs I’ve ever seen during that window. and I’ll say it but Kelly is overrated here (which I get). He’s far and away our greatest but the Bills were one of the most loaded teams ever and he was terrible in the playoffs. He definitely belongs in the top 25 but towards the lower end. -
So does PFF suck or do we like them (see the Hyde thread)? Some of you need to make up your minds. personally, I think analytics doesn’t work in football as much as other sports. They don’t know playcalls or player assignments. I like most of our additions though I think we are still lacking st receiver. We’ll see.

I respect you on your Bama (though you know there’s a little bias). My main point was he was a pretty big recruit and couldn’t play there. And he was pretty bad in camp, got cut, and literally no other team put a claim on him. I salute him for his second half but he is hard from a lock to make the team (I would bet he does). And honestly with the game on the line, I don’t fully trust him yet. That’s why I would love a true number 1 but hopefully someone emerges.

Mitch Morse: 4th best center in NFL
C.Biscuit97 replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You names the top 1%. A lot of these guys get their jobs because of family and friend connections. There have been a lot more terrible football people than Parcells ones. Way too early to say which group McBean is closer to. -
The myth of the sophomore QB slump

But he’s not built like rb. He won’t survive doing that. -

He helped 2 qbs who weren’t highly thought of (they won’t have been at NDSU and Wyoming if they were) and helped them develop into top 10 picks. I’d argue that is the definition of good coaching. Hopefully after this year, we can stop with all the excuse making for Allen, right? -

His college coach was Carson Wentz’ coach. How many college coaches have had 2 top 10 drafted qbs in the last 5 years? Much less at NDSU and Wyoming. -

Such predictable responses from some. DJ didn’t rank us on his top 5, he’s an idiot. Bunch of soccer moms haha. -
Mitch Morse: 4th best center in NFL

So you won’t be more worried about a C with head injuries more likely to get injured than a WR? Morse is a good player but there is definitely some risk with his contract. He literally is bashing heads on every play. You spelled center wrong. ? It was a solid post until this part. Football “people” are wrong all the time. Most of them are physical education majors. Blindly trusting football people is kinda silly. -
Jauron was reloading a 5-11 team? And for the millionth time, it was a self inflicted reload. McDermott has done a good job with the defense but it was a a defense that before Rex was one of the best in the nfl. I think SM is a better coach than Rex. But some of you act like he took over the 0-16 Browns. Just give Jauron a few more years and he’ll turn it around.

Nope. I never would fault a team for doing everything to help a young QB. I didn’t love the Sammy trade but they were trying to help a young qb. We don’t have a number 1 receiver. The only reason Zay is somewhat close to Sammy (and Sammy’s numbers are better) is because SW has a broken foot. Bills fans look at blanket numbers. Julio Jones had 3 tds one year. But his presence opens everything up for other players, Watkins isn’t Julio but the reason why great offensive coaches keep getting him, is because he’s a threat. No team fears Zay. No one fears Jordan Matthews (he’s just as good as SAmmy!). No one fears Benjamin but a buffet table. Again, we lack a number 1 receiver. Brown is too small. Beasley is a slot guy. Foster is a guy who couldn’t play at Bama who we cut. Sammy on a broken foot is more of a threat than any player on the Bills. No one fears our playmakers and it’s a huge problem. But hey, what do Reid and McVay know? Stay with me here. Perhaps great offensive coaches know more than bitter Bills fans? ?. It’s like some Bills fans laughed at stupid Belichick for paying Gilmore all that money! We are fans of a team that get excited when a qb throws for 200 yards!

You’re probably correct and we are all happy the drought is over. But if you are objective about that playoff team, it was about as bad of a playoff team as there has been. It also shows how pathetic the previous 17 years are because you should just get lucky. But expectations isnt a bad thing. Teams can go from bad to good in one offseason in the NFL. The Bears fired Lovie Smith after a 10 win season. The Raptors fired the coach of the year after making the conference finals. Honest question: what is one thing McDermott has shown that looks like an elite coach skill?

I absolutely love the Pegulas (especially Kim ?) but they have issues running organizations at this point. They won’t let Whaley hire a coach. They hire McDermott, let Whaley stay on through the draft, and then have McDermott hire his friend. In what world is Beane going to be able to fire McDermott? It’s why no good team hires a coach before a GM. It’s kinda insane. I mean look look at the Sabres. The GM they fired last year traded for a Vezina finalist goalie; a 30 goal scorer (Kane), and O’Reilly who was the MVP of a Stanley cup champion and the Sabres were trash this year. I think the Pegulas will figure it out because they are awesome people but it’s been a struggle. 1) if Sammy was here, you’d make every excuse for him. 2). He has played on the last 2 number offenses for 2 of the best coaches in football, who paid premiums to acquire him. Fun fact, qbs like having several good targets to throw to. But clearly, our offenses in the last 2 seasons were high functioning attacks. Maybe we can trade for another fat receiver again.

Levy/Kelly ranked 8th Coach/QB duo

Wasn’t the more on Kelly since called plays at the line?
