  1. I doubt we take Hock is Sweat is sitting there
  2. 9 - Ed Oliver, DT 40 - Dalton Risner, OT/OG 74 - Jace Sternberger, TE 112 - Sutton Smith, OLB 131 - Joe Jackson Edge 147 - Isaac Nauta, TE 158 - David Sills, WR 181 - Bryce Love, RB 225 - Blace Brown, CB 228 - Khalil Hodge, LB
  3. It was general stuff for the most part. Beane explaining need vs. BPA. Says he knows people don't believe him when he says draft BPA, but he really does. Said he doesn't feel like there are any glaring holes on the team that would force him to take a position earlier than others because of a big need, but he acknowledges that obviously some positions are stronger than others. Will be open to moving up or down int he draft and gave his criteria for doing either.
  4. I suggest everyone do some mock drafts. The Edge/DL dries up in the first 3 rounds, even though there are quite a few good players at those positions. RB/WR is deep as far as B/B+ category still in rounds 4-6. I'd suggest we go Dline early and then shore up the offense. TEs like Sternberger, Nauta should be around past the 3rd round and offer a lot of value. Obviously mocks are guesses, but they do give a good idea of a general consensus of where players will go.
  5. Arians is not the GM. He will work with what he's given.
  6. With the 9th pick in the 2019 draft, the Bucs select Dwayne Haskins, QB, Ohio State. The Denver Broncos and their GM @Alphadawg7 are on the clock
  7. Sorry guys, family time. I PM'd you my answer to your trade Virgil.
  8. It's the Raiders, no way they don't do that with AB the neediness sponge going there as well as a huge amount of picks early and a new GM. Also guaranteed Mayock will hate every second of it.
  9. We will take 2DL in the first 4 rds: a 3 technique and an Edge rusher. If I had my druthers our draft would be: Oliver, Ferguson, Sternberger, Singletary
  10. Agreed, in our devision and they did just win a Super Bowl...
  11. I kind of like all these 1 and done contracts for younger players with starting experience. Doesn't lock us down, counts towards comp pick calculation and if we find a gem we have a ton of cap space to re-sign.
  12. Production is scary but not always an indicator of success. Zay was ridiculously productive in college against inferior opponents, but he drops more passes than I'd like. Metcalf has elite physical traits that make him stand out in this class of pretty decent receivers. That said, I think the lack of production adds an added measure of uncertainty to drafting DK, which is why I'd prefer taking one of the DL prospects.
  13. DL/EDGE - 8 OT - 2 IOL - 2 WR - 3 TE - 3 DB - 5 (3CB/2S) RB- 1 LB - 1 This list points to us going DL with pick 1, but that doesn't necessarily mean much. Lines up with what I want us to do though. FYI - Darrell Henderson is visiting today per Cover1 on twitter
  14. He's a rotational edge player with good speed who was a 3rd rd draft pick by the 9ers in 2015. https://www.prideofdetroit.com/2019/2/19/18203968/2018-detroit-lions-roster-review-did-eli-harold-add-enough-to-keep-him-around We could maybe be looking at him to play SAM as a backup too?
  15. I think we went so heavy on the OL this offseason to give Josh a chance to succeed with some decent blocking knowing that we are going to be going after TE/DT/EDGE early. I see us taking OL, but not until maybe rd 3-4.
  16. Would you rather have Hock/Tillery or Oliver/Smith Jr.?
  17. Ok tell Hollywood Brown to catch jump balls in the end zone then. Height still matters.
  18. He's not a hard enough worker and takes plays off. You're not going to get him to block with any sort of effort.
  19. Draft strategy this draft should be to accumulate as many picks in the first 3 rds as possible, not because we should always do this, but because I see a lot of parity between the guys who will be going in the late 1st and the guys going in the 3rd talent-wise.
  20. I'll take whoever you need me to take Virgil
  21. That's what we've been doing wrong guys, we didn't try to draft Pro Bowlers, likely because it is too expensive to pay them later. Wish I'd thought of this!
  22. Who are your blue chip prospects?
