  1. Throwaway comments like this in articles are so annoying because they are super vague and shirk any responsibility. Who was doing the "saying" that the Bills were furious? Cause saying that they were "said" to be furious is not attributing that comment to a source, it's basically just repeating a rumor, which is trash reporting. I can say Rich Cimini is "said" to pee sitting down; that doesn't mean I can verify it, but now I've put it out there as reported truth.
  2. OL to TE specifically, I can't recall one. But there are plenty of CBs who transition to S successfully and that change is harder than you'd think. Plenty of college Ts who switch to G in the NFL as well. Lorax is playing OLB/DE and he started his career on the DL, then OL/TE and then lost a bunch of weight and now plays everywhere, so it's not the weirdest thing.
  3. Oliver then Risner/Lindstrom would be great. I'd be ok with the Taylor/Tillery as well
  4. Tillery and Jones are probably the best 3 techniques who are going in the 2nd in mocks right now. Daniel Wise is a decent mid-round option.
  5. Looks like we could go 10-6, so I'll say 9-7 just cause there's always at least one game that swings the wrong way.
  6. I believe he said he was in a holding pattern right now and they were likely done looking at FA DL at this point, but maybe after the draft (seems like he was open to picking up someone who might be available via trade or getting cut as a result of a team drafting a younger player).
  7. I didn't bother reading this tome of a post beyond the opening sentence. I presume I can summarize it by saying "some guy ?s on our last 2 drafts for whatever reason." Did I get it right?
  8. I've changed my mind about this topic, I am now fully against it. Should I start my own thread?
  9. The XFL is the best thing to happen to the AAF. Support that might have been tepid from the NFL will be significantly stronger now just out of spite. The NFL has neglected having a minor league for too long out of fear that it would negatively affect it's free farm system (NCAA). Glad the XFL is coming back around just for the AAF's sake.
  10. Just wrapping my head around the fact that your decision warranted it's own thread about a player who has been discussed in probably half of the threads on the front page
  11. So, DL/TE/OL in the first 3 rounds in some order
  12. Stranger things have happened, but I believe consensus from the rumor mill is the only 2 QBs that are likely to go in the top 10 are Haskins and Murray
  13. Look at OP's name - his topic is a surprise to you?
  14. The draft is SO...FAR...AWAY
  15. I'm not even embarrassed to wear my old whiter jersey, which is an embarrassing jersey
  16. IMO Dillard is being artificially pushed up people's boards because he is seen as the best pure LT prospect in the draft, where most of the top tackles are RTs and people are preemptively deciding that teams are going to move Jonah Williams to G. He might be a decent prospect, but he is not a top 10 player in this draft.
  17. Tim is a good writer who absolutely loves being a troll. He had a ridiculous and protracted back and forth with some 80s hair band lead singer's wife some some reason or another that turned me off of defending him. Some funny quips in that exchange, but at the end of the day, are you really spending your day publicly taking shots at someone's missus, that's a good use of your time?
  18. Someone needs a hug. You ok buddy? Josh Jacobs is not a top 10 player in this draft, he is not coming out with Saquon Barkley-level hype. We're not drafting a RB in the 1st when there are very good DL and OL on the board. The only 2 players who could possibly be drafted at 9 who are not linemen are DK Metcalf and perhaps Hockenson, but I'm doubtful they would spend the 9th pick on Hock when they could pick up Irv Smith at 40.
  19. this will not happen. You build the trenches first
  20. Guys who post negative spins on everything seem to believe they are "speaking truth to power" and delude themselves into thinking they are doing something greater than collecting a paycheck. The issue I have with columnists like Sully and beat reporters like Rodak is that they don't actually break stories or add anything new to the discussion, they just repeat what was already reported by someone else with a negative spin and maybe pull a stat or two from a couple minutes of research. The one guy out there who I see actually taking this "no holds barred" reporting approach and actually putting issues of substance on the table, breaking stories and showing they actually have good inside sources is Manish Mehta that reports on the Jets.
  21. I don't enjoy Rodak very much, but people shouldn't make those types of personal attacks on anyone just because they don't appreciate their work. That said, if you want to troll, expect the hate.
  22. Pretty much everything about the topic sentence is wrong. From "an top" to describing Penn as anything less than pedestrian and old.
