The more I read about this it sounds more like Brown is bummed they didn't even give him a chance to come back at a reduced number and views that as a bit of a sleight. Could be he thinks it's a knock on him or could be he wanted to stick around, not sure, but it's clear he had convinced himself he was going to stick around for the last year of his contract.

What about Trent Murphy's future?
ndirish1978 replied to Billzgobowlin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
well we certainly can't trade or cut him, so the OP had that much right -
Looks like John Brown was released

If true, crappy look for the team. This would be the first time I hear they've not handled things in a professional manner in regards to their players. -
What are the chances we resign Milano?
ndirish1978 replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There will be about 4 lbs available in the 1st 2 rounds that can fill his shoes. -
This is a non-event. Dawkins is showing support for someone who was good to him when he was a young player. You don't bring in extra security to the team facilities unless you have legitimate reason to be afraid for the safety of those in the building. The Incognito bridge is fully burnt, even the players on the team have shown wariness of him publicly, though admittedly in jest. Watch the PMT interview with Josh and Tre and Tre's comment about Big Cat mispronouncing Incognito's name "you better get his name right before he throws a weight at your @ss."

Deshaun Watson officially requests trade from Houston
ndirish1978 replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I feel like people aren't taking the Catch-22 situation for a new GM into account enough. Superstar QB is trying to impose his will on the franchise. If Caserio trades him he's basically opening the doors to any other player in the future who wants to hold out/demand a trade and letting them know he will blink first. If I'm Caserio I strong-arm Watson and force him to play or sit out and then trade him next year when I actually get to scout the picks I'm making. -
Name is Addison and this year the salary cap went DOWN by 30 million. Players are not going to be making market value signings.

Brandon Beane on Collinsworth’s podcast — worth a listen
ndirish1978 replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Watched this on Youtube. Enjoyed Beane dumping on PFF. Milano is definitely gone, probably D Williams too. He basically said the team was going to allow them to test the market, if they didn't like what they were offered he would make them an offer. -
Is America's Test Kitchen worth the sub? I purchased half the stuff in my kitchen on their recommendations.

Do I read? Yes. Do I read some books because I feel obligated to read certain "must reads?" Yes. But the stuff I actually enjoy is pretty much just sci fi / fantasy. Brandon Sanderson and Patrick Rothfuss stand out in those genres as current authors.

I see a lot of drafts picking LTs (I've done it myself) and sliding them over to RT. How unwise is this? I note this because it seems like some people just can't adjust to switching which foot they use to slide back. Thoughts? Well, I'm doing it here in this one, which I actually like. Fairly high risk high reward draft with Rousseau, Little and Brown

Source: LB Matt Milano looking for “top dollar” in FA

I don't know how many times this opinion has been shut down by the coaching staff. Edmunds will not be changing positions. -
Trade up or trade back in this year’s draft?
ndirish1978 replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We don't have enough ammo to trade up in the first, I could see us moving up a modest amount in the 2nd, but missing a 4th stinks this year. -
Positions I believe we fill a need in FA and my top picks guesses to fill them: CB2: Shaquille Griffin, AJ Bouye DE: Julian Okwara, JJ Watt, Yannick Ngakoue TE: Jonnu Smith, Mo Alie-Cox LB: Jayon Brown, Hassan Reddick. I still think we draft someone as Milano's eventual successor
