I'm over this already. The media teased this too heavily and never updated, now I'll barely be excited if it happens and will likely just complain about the cost.
This is my problem with his case strategy. Typically if you have the facts on your side you argue the law and don't engage in this grandstanding. If your facts and evidence are shaky, you use media pressure and play the man to pressure them to take a settlement. Like I said before: I don't know if his cases have merit, but if they do he's coming off as self-serving through all these histrionics.
I get you don't want to kick the can and put yourself in a bad situation in the future, but when you're in the middle of your window and the teams you have to get through to win a championship are selling out and going for broke, you better do something or you're gonna be sitting at home with your cap space while other teams play for trophies. This offseason is frustrating me.
The only reason I can think of for him being back is that they brought him in for a meeting just to hand him back his manilla envelop with those targets in it. Anything else I'm not on board with.
I agree the draft is a crapshoot, but players coming off a down year who have been dinged up too are not a sure thing either. Ertz also comes at a cap premium.
Shaun Wade, Haseem Nasirildeen, Trill Williams, Tyler Shelvin, Alim McNeil, plenty of quality OL still left in the rd. A big nickel, CB2 or a quality 1 tech would be an instant upgrade.
There is 1 good TE in this draft and then a pretty good one, the rest are not anything to depend on. That said, Ertz is not worth anything above a 4th and we don't have one, so it should be 5th or nothing.
Not what I was referring to. I thought I remembered him taking shots at the city of Buffalo, but I can't find the interview so I withdrew the comment. I don't have a problem with people who don't take an offer we send them
I honestly don't understand how he's a Bills fan. He only seems to have positive things to say about other teams. Of course I can only piece that together now from people quoting him, I've had him on ignore for a while.
If so, he's not very smart. His value is at an all-time low because of the injury. He has to prove he can still play. Neck injuries can end a career. I don't see a team offering him 15M+ on a multi-year deal only to have him be forced to retire. I don't want another Wood situation.
I may be wrong, couldn't find the comments when I searched. I do know he made some comments this offseason that sounded like a veiled shot at Diggs though.
