  1. We HAVE to see if our 1st rder from last year actually contributes to the team when given a real chance. You can't give up on McCargo before giving the coaches and the front office a chance to see if their pick actually works out.
  2. I thought they had to get caught while in the NFL. It would seem putting someone in Stage II for behavior prior to getting drafting would be wrongfully discriminating against people who have made past mistakes. It leads to questions of where to draw the line... how far back to we go? Is a HS pot bust the same as a freshman year in college incident? For that matter how do we say a Freshman year incident isn't as bad as a Senior year failed test?
  3. Anderson was the result of a mistaken decision the Bills front office made to have a D comprised entirely of OSU players
  4. 2003 you're a great poster and do an excellent job at creating fun posts, keep it up
  5. He's right. This thread is laughable
  6. Wrong. They were not under a signed contract to play for the Bills. The Bills had an exclusive RIGHT to tender an offer with a right of first refusal on to match all other offers. A tender is not a contract. These players were not under contract until today, when they SIGNED their tendered offers and became Bills again. Hence, they were re-signed.
  7. I agree with the above. Unfortunately, I think we are counting on this weak draft to produce at least 3 starters (RB, LB, FB). Trading a 2 and 3 for a proven RB wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. We could still grab Willis or Pos to start, fill our RB need and draft CB like Hughes in the 3rd for depth. That being said, we are counting on our own guys improving a LOT if we ever hope to get out of the cellar in our division. Then again, last year everyone wanted to draft a QB (I know I did) and Losman seemed to come into his own. Hopefully guys like Ellison, Youboty, McCargo and our 2 S's can step up in a big way.
  8. The guy was just making observations! I doubt nemhoff is suggesting we draft the "dreamiest" player available
  9. Just cause a player doesn't have a 1st rd grade doesn't mean they're a scrub. There are plenty of starters to be found in later rounds.
  10. Falling: Branch, Ginn Rising: Pos, Okoye
  11. Love it, pure class. Didn'tTalley do the same thing when he left Buffalo?
  12. I echo your sentiment about the kid in the candy store but my mock v.1.0 goes: 1- Paul Poslunsky 2- Antonio Pittman 3- Buster Davis 3- Daymeion Hughes 4- Rhema McKnight
  13. Yeah, wow. All I can say is my prayers are with all those students' poor families. This whole thing has me completely in shock.
  14. If we got a good LB at 12 I'd rather trade our 2nd and a conditional 2-4 next year for Turner if that's possible. Lynch and Peterson have potential, but Turner is a proven commodity at the pro level.
  15. Ditto to both of you. I can't believe what happened at VT today.
  16. I know everyone thinks Ricky is weird but he seems to have gotten his issues sorted out. That being said, we are looking for high character, SELF MOTIVATED guys. The second part seems like a problem to me. I saw that interview he did with Terrell Davis (for HBO I think) and he said playing again was a test for him to see how he could handle the pressure. I dunno how much passion "I wanna see how I handle the pressure" brings.
  17. With the schedule we have we could very likely go 1-5 or 2-4 in the first 6 games. I hope we turn it up the second half of the season and pick up at least 8 wins.
  18. Just to clarify, I meant I haven't heard any talk about bringing in a veteran. I do see us picking a QB up in the draft with a late pick.
  19. Johnson or Russell, leaning towards Russell
  20. Yeah Gates was a high character guy, we all know how much beating women says about your good character
  21. Why are people mad? Cause we took a chance on McGahee, embraced him and he crapped on the city in the media that's why. I wouldn't have had any problem with the guy if he had just left quietly and toed the company line, saying he was greatful to the city and the team and it was all just a business decision. The guy took pot shots at a city and a team who gave him a chance. I can't say I blame anyone for taking it personally.
  22. I miss the old sky blue. Helmets are a toss up though. I like the white and red but I think I'd get tired of them if they were a regular thing.
  23. Looks like Nall is the guy. I don't think there has been any talk of us bringing in another QB.
  24. Watch the interview on buffalobills.com jagoff
