  1. I assume we must be comfortable with the replacements on the O line...my question is this: how good is Colin Brown and how healthy is E. Pears? If the coaches feel Brown is solid, if unspectacular...and Pears has fully regained his health, I guess that would be a pretty good O line still...with Hairston as swing tackle and Snow as interior depth...I just don't know much about the likes of Brown and Snow and would like to hear some more informed opinions from others...thanks...Go Bills!!
  2. I may be ripped for this but I don't think our tackles suck as Billfromnyc stated. I think we have 2 young tackles in Meredith and Bell who barring injury will pleasantly surprise this year and Cornell Green is an experienced and slightly above average tackle. we had so many injuries last year on the o line e were forced to play 3rd stringers most of the year, hopefully we will see a full year from our young tackles and watch as they grow into successful pros.
  3. I noticed that Marlon Favorite is actually listed on the BillsDaily depth chart as behind Kyle Williams, but AHEAD of McCargo. Is he more than camp fodder or is it just because we are all so underwhelmed with McCargo. It struck me as odd to list a free agent pick up ahead of a former 1st round pick. Does anyone have any insight on Favorite or even Lonnie Harvey, do these guys have a chance to help us in a depth role or will they be cut by June?
  4. I was wondering if anyone living in or near Buffalo has heard any updates on E Woods recovery...is he walking with out a boot, limping still, etc. Any updates would be appreciated. Thanks
  5. That was my central question...I thought I'd hear a bunch of replies like, "We need a LT at 9 or else I will quit being a Bills fan!" But I am hearing that maybe filling as many holes on D then take care of LT and QB second is not as preposterous as first thought.
  6. I know most want the Bills to draft a LT at 9 but what if the coaches/Nix decide to really strengthen the front 7 first and fill in the offense next. At 9 we take Derrick Morgan DE/OLB to give us a premiere pass rusher off the edge. At 41 we take the best big NT left (Cody, Odrick, Cam Thomas) and with the free agent signings we seem to (on paper) have a formidable defense to kick some arse. Then in round 3 we take an OT like Saffold, Capers, Veldheer) to compete with D Bell at LT. Just a twist to say having a really strong D that stops the run and gets off the field on 3rd downs would do a world of good for our offense and maybe we see improvement from D Bell and Trent with Gailey's expertise with O game planning. Thoughts??
  7. I think he was a DC for Green Bay? before he came here and I read he was brought back to work on the defensive side of the ball and Giff Smith was brought in to coach the d line...that makes me think we don't need two d line coaches...maybe Sanders will be promoted to DC???
  8. how great would it be to have our receiving core be a STRENGTH again...it has been a while!!! I too think that both Reed and Johnson have very good years
  9. I have watched a fair amount of the Bills preseason games and I have seen this guy miss tackles and take bad angles every game...I was hopeful he would be a great pick up with his veteran experience, etc but I feel like Ashton and Reggie Corner are playing better and WJ may just be the odd man out at CB...what say ye???
  10. It would be really sweet if the Bills got lucky and had a Colston type situation where a guy nobody has heard of has a monster year. We need another great draft and a little luck and LESS injuries next year to make the playoffs
  11. True, but at least he's 6 feet tall and over 200 lbs...certainly decent size, he's no smurf like Roscoe. I just wonder what his background in college was and if he has a legit shot at being a good pro WR.
  12. Nobody has mentioned this guy as a possibility to improve to the point where he may help on the field as a #2 WR. I feel like the Bills see him as a replacement for Sam Aiken as JJ showed he could handle ST play very well last year, BUT, who's to say that he couldn't actually be BETTER than Aiken as a WR. The guy has good size(like Moulds size) and maybe we get lucky and he turns out to be a diamond in the rough. I am certainly not saying we should count on that happening and I feel strongly we should draft a WR in either Rd 1 or Rd 2, but I am curious why nobody is talking about this kid. Any thoughts either way?
  13. Fred Jackson is 6 feet 1 inch, weighs 215 pounds, is 26 yrs old, went to Coe College and was the leading rusher in NFL Europe a few years ago...but what else does anybody on the board know about his running style. Is he a speed back? Is he a Travis Henry type that is hard to bring down but can't break a long run? Is he the type to hit a hole or a dancer? Please let me know what those who have seen him play think. I have a hunch that we may see him as part of a three headed RBBC with A Train and a first day drafted RB...and my hope is he will be one of those diamonds in the rough that comes from a small school and finally gets his chance to show the NFL world that he can play.
