  1. I sincerely hop no one has ALREADY given up on Cardale. If you read the narrative the Bills have been hinting at on their website the past couple of days it seems like he's our starting QB next year. Article up today with Tasker comparing him to Big Ben. The media department is very carefully controlled with what they put out there and I doubt it's an accident. Look at the spin they are already trying to put on the season with these articles: "back to back rushing titles are rare", "another year leading the league on the ground", "Cardale is like Big Ben?"; JM show clips uploaded: "Cardale has freakish arm." They are currently pushing 3 narratives 1- the Bills have an incredible run game; 2 - Everyone should be excited for next season because Ragland will be back and better than ever; 3 - Cardale is the new Roethlisberger.
  2. I don't think Whaley cared one bit about Rex. I don't think he particularly cared to dwell on the decision made once it had been made without him either. I think he's a guy who realizes that's what's done is done and there is no use wasting time having feelings about it. Much better just to move on and do your job.
  3. A Lynn has said himself he is aware that teams may be inclined just to interview him for Rooney Rule purposes and that he is similarly inclined not to interview when he feels that way. At this point the only evidence we have of teams' motivations is the fact that Lynn is actually going to the interviews. As such, we should take him at his word and presume that the interviews are, at least on the surface, being conducted in earnest.
  4. Honestly, I think Whaley is drafting a QB and intends to start him right away
  5. I'm shocked. I didn't think people on this board knew there WERE any coaches other than Bill Cowher as much as his name comes up here for no reason.
  6. He's middle of the pack at best. I didn't say he was awful though.
  7. I'm getting the feeling that a lot of the resistance to this move isn't because people think TT is going to develop into the next Brady, but rather they are afraid of winding up with someone worse. It's like we're so used to having awful QB play that when someone mediocre comes around we almost feel like he's as good as we deserve and should build around him. It's kind of like that friend everyone has who has a gf who is pretty good looking but treats him like crap. Everyone knows he would be better off without her and tells him that, but he's not moving on from a known quantity to an unknown one blind... kind of like how TT won't throw to a receiver he doesn't already see is open.
  8. Unless we bring in another experienced Qb it's a rebuild. We're not winning more than 4 games if we start Cardale or a rookie since TT is walking
  9. Article says team can block coaches who are under contract unless getting interviewed for HC. For some reason I thought the rule was unless it was for a promotion, i.e. QB coach to OC, but I was evidently wrong.
  10. Buffalo media narrative "Broncos, team who know him best, reject Lynn as HC candidate"
  11. This is what we DO know. The Bills PR staff are incompetent, the Bills GM is terrible at press conferences and treats local media with contempt... and that's it. They are basing all the dysfunction talk on comments Whaley made when he was up talking smack and they are trying to generate a reaction or response by idly speculating about his job security and whether or not he has feelings about things that have happened in his life. Everything else is speculation.
  12. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2017/01/05/richard-sherman-denounces-click-based-media/ Methinks the lady doth protests too much. Interesting that even the national news guys are hyper-sensitive to this criticism, because the criticism is completely on point.
  13. I see stuff like this playing out in Buffalo, then I read articles like this one on Carr and just wish we had a time machine and could go back to a time when this team made me proud and felt like a family. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2685215-the-devastation-of-derek-carr-injury-left-raiders-star-qb-asking-why
  14. What is Doug Whaley's role in calling the flip, that's what I want to know. How could he not care if it's heads or tails?!
  15. This article by Jenny Vrentas is a pretty good read. It's about McCoy but features ALynn a lot and I found it pretty encouraging if in fact we do settle on him. http://mmqb.si.com/mmqb/2016/09/14/nfl-lesean-mccoy-buffalo-anthony-lynn-bills-running-backs-the-mmqb
  16. Whether this is a rebuild or not, I think we can all agree on one indisputable fact:
  17. I'm fairly certain you could submit this as your writing sample and be hired at the Buffalo News.
  18. Saw your boss' beard, please give him my best wishes on his fight with alopecia
  19. That's not what I said at all. When did I say anything about Whaley?
  20. THANKS for the BF_Insiders recommendation. I hadn't read this article and found it illuminating: https://t.co/UejR8V3Jfm
  21. Josina is a good one, i forgot about her
  22. Interviewed in Boca? This organization is a laughingstock! How could Whaley possibly set up and conduct an interview when other people are present?! I bet you they force him to call John Wawrow and say he was in the room when they decided to bench Tyrod.
  23. I didn't realize Sexton was his agent. Same agent who continuously drums up the fake "Doug Marrone is a hot HC candidate so you better hire him" narrative that we actually fell for. I'm actually more inclined to hope they take their time and interview everyone now.
  24. Ignore TBN unless you want to see them retweeting each other and giving each other high fives for their "takedown" of Whaley. I like Joe Chennelly, John Wawrow and Jenny Vrentas (national, but does get info).
