PLEASE let this be a coordinated effort on OBD. Can we sticky this and come up with a hashtag that everyone can use? If we could even just come up with a cut & paste thing everone could use to avoid people saying inappropriate things, that would be a good idea IMO. I second #cleanhouse and suggest that everyone be sure to mention Brandon in that comment

CBS: Rex could be fired, TT benched Monday with loss
ndirish1978 replied to NoSaint's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There is a lot wrong with this post. First off, let's just forget the finger-pointing on the offensive side of the ball, as you believe he deserves little to no blame for endorsing an offensive system that effectively consists of toting the rock in a sisyphean game plan that expects the defense to stop the other team from scoring while controlling the clock. The defense is just BAD. The vaunted corners Rex built this defense on and touted as being one of the best duos in the league on many occasions have been burned far too often to be considered even good or serviceable in his system. He uses our $100 million pass rushing DT as a space eater. Whether or not you choose to bury your head in the sand about his scheme and how much of that is players not playing up to their level, this fact is irrefutable: The 2016 Bills have had 2 of the worst defensive performances in franchise history under a "defensive genius". That alone is a fireable offense. The same defense that picked of Big Ben yesterday also let a single player outgain their entire offense. Individuals may not have given up yesterday, but it was clear the majority of the team did. The Chin is simply not coming back to coaching and Coughlin ended his run with the Giants with 4 straight years of failing to qualify for the post-season. -
Pick your next GM HC, and biggest offseason acquisition
ndirish1978 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Here's my question for you guys who pick A Lynn as the new HC - I know he's running a simplified version of Roman's offense, but he hasn't been able to get anything out of Tyrod at all, why would you want to keep him, a holdover of the Ryan era, on staff? -
What time does Rex get fired today?

If they don't clean house I strongly endorse the idea of everyone not re-upping season tickets and boycotting the team store -

Please fire everyone -
THIS is the reason we haven't moved up in the draft to take a QB since the no playoff streak started. FO with egos refusing to admit they were wrong and disguising it as "continuity". Whaley finds some good bargain basement guys but he clearly has no grasp of how to make a trade, overpaying almost every single time he makes one. That in and of itself is worrying. Also, why can't anyone on this team read a medical report or manage injuries properly? If you sign players with medical conditions (Lawson, Harvin), how is it a surprise when the guy isn't on the field? Why is it after our guys get hurt and come back they always re-aggravate the original condition and wind up playing hobbled? We haven't had the real Sammy for a full year yet, Woods played all year last year hurt and it looks like the same goes for this year. It seems like there is just poor judgement at every level of the team: coaches, medical staff, GM.

12-8: HC/Coordinator Pressers & Player Interviews
ndirish1978 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not really, everyone knows EJ is a placeholder and Cardale is the only one between the two of them that will be on the roster next year. That said, I don't see the point in him playing this year. He was supposed to be at least a three-year project when we drafted him so I don't see how all of a sudden people think he'd play like Dak Prescott. -
Taylor showing frustration to Buffalo media

I don't have a problem with anything he said. What do you want him to say "I suck, I know I sucked yesterday and I was a main reason for the loss"? Who the heck is going to say that? I don't really like the whining from the press but also from TT. Comments like "I don't care what you say" and "I take everything on the chest" are stupid. Does he want a cookie for doing his job? Give non-answers and call it a day, but extolling how you put up with criticism is pretty weak in and of itself. -
The NYJ Have Released C. J. Spiller
ndirish1978 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you don't think that decision came straight from PR guru Russ Brandon I don't think I can help you there. They gave away an MVP level RB for next to nothing because people labelled him as out of control. -

This is the guy we replaced Marshawn with because the city ran him out. Great FO -
I kind of agree with this. In years past we COULDN'T do this because everyone was afraid that blowing things up meant the dreaded "rebuilding" label which would scare fans away and lead to the team leaving Buffalo. Now that the team isn't going anywhere they should do things correctly. Unfortunately RB is now president of the Sabres too so he's not going anywhere and I strongly believe his "marketing first" approach to the team is killing us.

It's called heart and the team lacks it. All you need to see that is how Gilmore and TT respond to criticism with the standard "you guys can insult me but I have to have a short memory and not let things get to me" schtick. That may be true while you're on the field, but you better be mad as hell after the game and actually raise your level for the next time. How many time has Gilmore pulled up instead of delivering a hit on the sideline this year?

You gonna let that slide BADOL? There was a spelling error here

Comment crossed the line, no need to defend yourself. Just drop it

More than just bad QB play I'm more concerned with the fact that we HAD good young players last year who are now regressing rather than developing. I don't think it's disputed the fact that Gilmore and Darby were WAY better last year than this year, IMO same thing with Preston Brown. That's coaching. Unfortunately the FO hasn't shown that they actually know how to hire a decent HC, so we could fire Rex and very likely end up with someone even worse.
