1-5: Tyrod Taylor is Having Surgery Today
ndirish1978 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is not a league doctor conducting the physical, it's the team doctors. If it's even borderline he will pass. I fail to see how him opting for surgery now as opposed to waiting and checking on the injury in a few weeks is anything but prudent. We are now talking about TONE in statements people. Whether or not this is a negotiating ploy, who really cares? The fact remains the team is undecided on whether to bring him back. Both sides will posture to try and make the March 11 deadline work in their favor in order to advance their interests. The Bills would like to keep the option of bringing Tyrod back but at reduced compensation if the new HC wants him and TT's agent will want to try and use the looming possibility of him not passing his physical as leverage to protect his interests. This is business, that's how negotiations work. -
Bills Hire Sean McDermott as New Head Coach

I don't know how I feel about this guy. He looks like he has a collection of other people's used socks. -
Have folks already given up on Cardale?
ndirish1978 replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The question is surprising frankly. He was drafted as a multiple-year project who was very raw but had a high ceiling. IMO he outplayed EJ on Sunday and showed some real positives. I'd say his arrow is pointing up, but it would be a real stretch to say he's ready to be a starter in the NFL at this point. -
Rebuild Job or Not?
ndirish1978 replied to D. L. Hot-Flamethrower's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This team should be a rebuild. Our team leaders (AW, KW, EW) are either seriously injured or considering retiring. We have 25 players headed to free agency (likely including our CB1) and likely will return neither of our starting safeties. The non-aged "stars" we have all have issues, be they disciplinary or injury-related. -
To clarify - I don't believe they cared about the local media reaction whatsoever. They did not anticipate that the conference would go so off the rails so as to be mentioned in the national conversation as having gone badly. Whaley tried to be cute with his evasive answers and wound up making himself look ridiculous.

If he gets hired I predict people on this board will either be furious or elated, with no one in between.

The Buffalo media in a sentence.
ndirish1978 replied to turftoe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I see you enjoy taking enormous leaps in "logic" to fit things into your own narrative. This comment is the equivalent of hearing "I don't like Dominoes Pizza, it's mass produced junk" and responding "what do you have against Italians and the working class?" Considering the local media hacks has nothing to do with being a homer, it has everything to do with acknowledging that they are bad at their jobs. There are dozens of questions that should have been asked at the 40 minute long press conference that weren't asked. They chose, quite predictably, not to ask those questions and instead focused on trying to "catch" Whaley in a contradiction. No, they don't, but thank you for white knighting them. -
Tom Coughlin don't like Doug Whaley.
ndirish1978 replied to jaclynrea21's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't take anything TBN says seriously anymore. When you say something is a sentiment "around the NFL" and then it becomes apparent that what you mean is "around the journalists who cover NFL teams" you've lost me. I don't like people who say vague things to try and bolster their credibility -
Big media mystery.....why did Ryan get fired?
ndirish1978 replied to TC in St. Louis's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Guys, it's obvious they simply DONT CARE about public perception. They're incompetently run from top to bottom. I truly believe they think they're smarter than everyone else and will "prove everyone wrong". The thing is whaleys pressed, while hilarious in its distinction, was a disservice to the fans. I don't understand how they don't see that. Whaley was a jerk to the media and they were jerks to him, but he should have at least had some sort of hopeful message for the fans that things will get better, he did not. The organization has no respect for the fans. Bb.com is kind of a joke. I feel bad for the people who have to try and generate content in the hope people will actually care about this team anymore. -
The Bills knew it was going to be a crap fest. They sent Whaley out there to get it over with and probably did t care about the reaction til they realized it was a national story for a minute so the owners had to try and smooth things out. SB should have known that would happen if they dogged the PC, he should be fired for that alone.

Hahahha. Scapegoats? You don't have to think the team is great to dislike the local media. So defensive. The team is incompentent and so are the reporters covering it. -
Thanks for this

Best case - We luck into a good HC and draft a Future HOF QB in the 1st Worst Case - We board the coaching carrousel yet again, hire someone who will just be fired in 2 years and keep Whaley around to head the next search h

Here you go: Not blaming the media for the GM's poor ability to communicate. But i do believe TBN and Rodak are incompetent hacks who make up drama because the FO doesn't respect them enough to give them interviews. They talk to Vrentas and Wawrow, so it seems they just don't like the locals. -
A simple question for the media who frequent this board
ndirish1978 replied to GRHater69's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well, they aren't here to shape the "narrative" so by their logic we can say whatever we want about them. -

Entitled drama troupe feel snubbed, manufacture stories about jocks. Note - I'm talking pretty much exclusively about TBN + Rodak -

Don't understand all the fuss about Whaley and Pegs
ndirish1978 replied to Dragonborn10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Press conference was the most smug Whaley i've seen in a while, media hates him because he doesn't care about giving them stories. If you don't believe me, just look at Graham and Rodaks twitter over the past few days -

I always wonder what "around the league" really means. Carucci said the same thing in an interview and then indicated that he meant the various MEDIA outlets around the league thought the conference was bad. That's a bit weak. -

"The Buffalo Bills are uniquely terrible because they’ve somehow never been decent enough to stumble into the postseason or bad enough to draft well and bounce back in a big way." This kind of bummed me out. You'd think in 17 years we could have been bad enough to luck into a decent 1st rd QB - oh wait, Ej is the only one we've even drafted this DECADE. Here are our 1st rd picks since the drought started: 2016 Shaw Lawson DE 2015 No Pick 2014 Sammy Watkins WR 2013 EJ Manuel QB 2012 Stephon Gilmore CB 2011 Marcell Dareus DT 2010 C.J.
