  1. People who still watch ESPN content remind me of people who still have AOL. Watch NFL Network on demand like a grown up. ESPN is outdated. I can go to 1 of 100 websites today to read coverage and watch clips of pretty anything relevant to my sports taste. They rely on a pre-internet system and think charging for "insider" information is still a way to do business. I'd put twitter above their "insider" analysis all day, just give me information. Perfect illustration of the difference between ESPN and NFL Network - Mel Kiper v Mike Mayock. One one hand we have a talking head who continues to fool people into thinking he is an expert and puts his opinions out there as authoritative vs an actual player who gives analysis and doesn't feel the need to defend his opinions because he admits talent evaluation is an inexact science.
  2. I mean if personality were in direct correlation to coaching effectiveness I'd say hire this guy. Kind of hard not to listen to that video and not be pumped up.
  3. Skurski on the other hand, still plans on being quite poor at his job.
  4. Yeah that's fair enough, sorry about that OP, I'm grumpy in the morning
  5. or it's literally any other candidate who was not allowed to interview while their team was in the playoffs
  6. Got one! I think this has to be the plan for everyone going forward. I suspect Brady derives his ageless power from consuming the souls of Patriots fans. The only way to defeat him is to remove his energy source.
  7. Sounds like the pegulas told Lynn they could have handled the issue and the media questions better and did t mean to hang him out to dry. Not "we're so sorry we took Tyrod from you".
  8. Washington played DT in college, Lawson played DE and Ragland would be just fine as a 4-3 MLB. I'm not a huge Preston brown fan but I assume he would be the WLB and I guess Hughes would be slb
  9. We're going to stealth tank next year. They are going to build him up and then throw Cardale to the wolves, win 3-4 games and then draft a QB next year.
  10. I absolutely can and no I will never forget you wanted to trade Mario for John Skelton.
  11. Have we cut TT and I didn't notice?
  12. Hooker. I like Williams from Clemson too
  13. Denver tried to sign him 2 years ago BEFORE he had experience as a starting QB, what makes you think they wouldn't be more interested now?
  14. I suspect that's why they were both let go together
  15. I'm telling you guys, listen to the spin coming from OBD, they are trying to get people pumped about Cardale. If we bring in a veteran it will be an open competition and I don't think it will be a big money guy. This is the same thing that happened with Orton; they brought him in with the intention of being a mentor but it didn't work because EJ was so bad. They are either going to sign a lower tier FA QB and try to start Cardale or else they go for the big splash and try to grab a 1st rd QB, even though Kizer is the best one out there and I don't think he's ready to play right away.
  16. John Murphy is a mouthpiece for the organization and they use him to push the narratives they are trying to sell. Listen to his show and read the spin articles being posted on his website and you can see they are trying to get us excited about next season because basically we will actually have our top 2 picks from THIS year playing; Cardale Jones is being compared to Big Ben and it doesn't really matter who our QB is because we have the best rushing attack in the league.
  17. Why hide behind a censored bar, I see what you typed but what are you SAYING??? Question for JW - have you gotten the impression from other FO types in the league that DW is well thought of? I mean all the speculation on this board is 90% piss and 10% vinegar and the truth is we can all have strong opinions but will never do what he does for a living. I'm not trying to get you to give your opinion on him, just a general sense of how he and his staff are regarded. Thanks
  18. I sincerely hop no one has ALREADY given up on Cardale. If you read the narrative the Bills have been hinting at on their website the past couple of days it seems like he's our starting QB next year. Article up today with Tasker comparing him to Big Ben. The media department is very carefully controlled with what they put out there and I doubt it's an accident. Look at the spin they are already trying to put on the season with these articles: "back to back rushing titles are rare", "another year leading the league on the ground", "Cardale is like Big Ben?"; JM show clips uploaded: "Cardale has freakish arm." They are currently pushing 3 narratives 1- the Bills have an incredible run game; 2 - Everyone should be excited for next season because Ragland will be back and better than ever; 3 - Cardale is the new Roethlisberger.
  19. I don't think Whaley cared one bit about Rex. I don't think he particularly cared to dwell on the decision made once it had been made without him either. I think he's a guy who realizes that's what's done is done and there is no use wasting time having feelings about it. Much better just to move on and do your job.
  20. A Lynn has said himself he is aware that teams may be inclined just to interview him for Rooney Rule purposes and that he is similarly inclined not to interview when he feels that way. At this point the only evidence we have of teams' motivations is the fact that Lynn is actually going to the interviews. As such, we should take him at his word and presume that the interviews are, at least on the surface, being conducted in earnest.
  21. Honestly, I think Whaley is drafting a QB and intends to start him right away
