It's going on everywhere. These companys are using the state of the economy as an excuse to screw their workers. Even if you're company is doing fine,they figure the job market is so tight you'll just put up with it. And in most cases,unfortunately,they're right.

I don't feel right rooting for somebody to fail. But I can't help it with Favre. He has been a primadonna,jerking organizations and teammates around on multiple occasions. He's acted like a punk. And the media has given him a free pass on his behavior. Guys like Chad Johnson have been crucified by the media for doing much less,imo.

The kids are already paid in the form of a full ride scholarship. That is a BIG payday.My son is currently working (and paying his own way) thru college and it's very tough. We're hoping my daughter will get a softball scholarship so she won't have to go the same route. The football programs that make big profits plow that money back into the athletic programs and help other non-profiting sports. If you're talking about paying the kids a small stipend so that they have a little pocket money that's cool,but anything more than that I'm opposed to.

I've always thought the Super Bowl should be played at the home of the team that earns the home field advantage,just like the conference championship games. The idea of a "neutral" field is crap,there is no such thing. The chosen site always favors someone due to playing surface,climate,etc. If a cold weather team like the Bills earned the home field,the opponent should have to play in Orchard Park in the cold. And tickets should be sold the same way playoff tickets are sold. Could you imagine the atmosphere? No more sterile,corporate,"neutral" sites. I know it will never happen but it would be awesome.

I love the college game. To me it's much more exciting. I love the variety of systems in use compared to the NFL. Spreads,pro sets,options,even stuff like the wishbone in some smaller programs. A playoff systm would be cool as long as it includes all 11 1-A conference champs. You would also have to have a wildcard slot or 2 to include independants. That would make it at least a 12 team playoff and I don't see that happening any time soon. Anything less than a 12 team format,and I'd rather just stay with what we have,as imperfect as it is. The college kids play with much more passion than the overpayed crybabies in the NFL. NFL Sundays seem boring to me compared to the excitment of the colleges on Saturday.

I rarely watch series TV,but the few times I saw My Name Is Earl it made me laugh my ass off. So much that I bought the 1st season on dvd. I may actually open it and watch it now. Sorry to see it canceled.

I think the biggest knock on Lambert is he only appeals to rockers. I don't like Queen or Aerosmith,Ijust don't care for that style of music. And that's all I could ever see that kid doing. Chris,while more boring,is also more versatile imo. He could do pop,R & B,folk,country,almost anything. He may do a record I would consider buying. Even tho he's talented, I could not imagine Lambert doing anything I would want to hear more than once.

Very good point. I believe the lack of depth on this team hurts more than many realize. Our starting talent is not bad,maybe playoff caliber. But once injuries hit our fall is harder due to lack of depth.

I agree. Why do they keep bringing these LBs in if they aren't going to sign someone? Any of the 3 LBs that have visited would be an upgrade imo.
