Robert Randolph is badass. I saw him perform with Los Lobos. He wasn't on the bill,he just joined Los Lobos about halfway thru the show and jammed with them the rest of the way. Awesome show. I've been a fan ever since.

We all tend to do buisness with people that we feel comfortable with. Race is sometimes part of that comfort level. I know that my family has always bought more goods and services from other Latinos than from any other group of people. It's not racist,it's just where you have the connections. Sometimes,especially with some of the older folks,they go to people in their own ethnic community even when it's not the best deal,just because of that comfort level. I think the Black community has,historically,done a lot less of it. I have no problem with them doing the same thing the rest of us have been doing all along.

Cowherd is a blowhard. He likes to state his opinion in an extreme,obnoxious sort of way to get attention,imo. And he's not funny either.Somebody like Jim Rome can be obnoxious but he's funny at times too. TO is on a one year contract,no way he causes a bunch of trouble,it would cost him too much money in the future.

Damn,Miss Panama is beautiful. I think I'm in love! I feel bad for Miss California. The girl was asked a loaded question. No matter how she answers it,she gets one or the other extremist group screaming at her. Why some people have the desire to stir this kind of crap up,I'll never know.

If it was said as part of her act,then I don't have a problem with it. I don't see how wishing death on anybody could be funny,but I expect some political content from any comedian,whether I agree with it or not. If she got up on a soapbox during an interview then she needs to shut up as well.

Of course he has the right to say whatever he pleases,just as I have the right to say he's a bigmouth for throwing political crap in with his sports. I just get tired of sports/entertainment figures who think everybody cares what the hell they think about politics or society. If I'm watching or listening to sports I want to hear sports,not somebodys opinion on politics.

I don't get why guys like Feherty feel the need to make political/social commentary. If the guy is a golf analyst,he should stick to golf. If somebody wants to hear the political crap they can go to CNN or Fox.

Unreasonable optimism is one of the best things about being a sports fan. Every year you start over and you never know when it might be a special one. Quit trying to piss on my corn flakes.

Unless that 8/9th team is an undefeated Boise St. or Utah that could have possibly won the championship. Every year it seems there's an undeafeated from a lesser conference that has the potential to win it all. Some years they would get in,some years not. Im OK with whatever system they go with as long as it doesn't take away from the importance of the regular season.

I think these politicians should spend their time on more important issues. Their is no good answer to a 1-A football championship. The BCS isn't fair and a playoff wouldn't be fair either to the teams that got left out of the 8 team,or whatever number they come up with,format. Somebody would always have a legitimate gripe. The problem is you have 120 teams in 11 conferences,plus independants, and a 12 game(max) season. All of these conferences have different traditions and regulations,even different officiating crews. This diversity is part of what makes college football great. It's not the generic,cookie-cutter league the NFL is. It's also the reason the best football is played on Saturdays and why they'll never end the arguments over it's championship.

I work late shift sometimes,so Ill get home when everybody's asleep. I'll fix me something to eat and watch a little tv before knocking out. One night they got this infomercial on for a set of pillows that supposed to perfectly align your back and neck. Because of this perfect spinal alignment your supposed to sleep better and have more energy. They sucked me in. I've never had back or neck pain in my life,so I should have just changed the channel. But insted I ordered it. Couple weeks later it arrives and I'm all excited that night to get to bed with my new pillows. I wake up the next morning,for the first time ever,WITH A SORE BACK. What a dumbass! I never watch those infomercials anymore.

Yeah,I can't wait for that one. I hope Manny kicks the crap of pretty boy Floyd. Pacquiao has become my favorite fighter. I haven't seen a combination of hand speed,power and aggressiveness like him since a lightweight Roberto Duran.

You're right. Foote is from Detroit and went to U of M. He said that getting to finish up his career with his hometown Lions would be a real kick in the pants.

I think the Steelers will come to regret this move. In time,they will see that they really shot themselves in the Foote when they let Larry go.
