  1. It Cinci had won last week, with all the same results this week, would NE* have been the 3 seed?

  3. Fitzy bearded wedding ring wearing gunslinger from harvard
  4. Blitz came from like 30 yds away AND he took the wrong angle
  5. No they'll lose because now I am into it and they've given me hope
  6. Have to keep playing pressure defense. Leave our kitty defense on the shelf
  7. I definitely agree with your last statement
  8. I also was thinking that. "And don't tell anyone because it's a surprise!"
  9. Well since you brought it up... I didn't overlook it - most people just write off comments like that, but I don't think a player (without a history of it) speaks out that early without it potentially being a very big issue. I had a real bad feeling about it when I first read it - just got the feeling there was a lot more to the story http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/179582-dareus-and-dunbar-its-kind-of-a-clash/?do=findComment&comment=3614602 Little did I realize we could also be inserting Mario in the scenario of "great players whose production has gone way down when asked to fit into a system instead of just wreaking havoc with their ability"
  10. Rex definitely strikes me as a guy who believes in loyalty to his staff. And he definitely comes off as a 'mentor' to Thurman. What happens with Thurman when the season ends will be one of the most interesting developments. You have to wonder if there were discussions of conditions with Pegula prior to the announcement that Rex was coming back. You would have to think "something has to change with the management of the defense" would be a key topic. Whether you believe Thurman is just a pawn (and Rex is really running the D show) or Thurman actually is running the D - getting rid of Thurman makes sense in both cases. If he really is running the D he sucks at it, if Rex is running the D I say to him if you stay you need to hire a real D coordinator, let him run the defense an put more energy and focus into the responsibilities of HC ( because you've sucked at that)
  11. FWIW, I watched the game last night with a group of people which included a young man who is currently a junior at Ole Miss. and is involved in the athletic program there. I asked him about Kelly off the field and he had nothing but positive things to say about him. Said he sees him often around campus and he always comes off as a good guy, never cocky or arrogant - but can tell he definitely has a confidence. Says he is always gracious when people approach him, but also will try to keep a low profile at times wearing headphones etc. He obviously is aware of Kelly's history, and says he has seen none of that (or heard it from anyone else) - and whatever issues Kelly had before (from outward appearances anyway) it seems he has really worked on them. He also mentioned that as a group the football team is a bunch of really good guys around campus (not necessarily a common thing). He credits Freeze with a lot of that, says he is or was a pastor, and really stresses values and the concept of the football team as a 'family'-and the team seems to really buy into it.

  16. Wow - talk about 'aggressive cancer' - learned he had it and was dead in two days
  17. I remember watching the Globetrotters as a kid at the Aud - did they do double headers with the Braves? Took my kids about 10 years ago when they rolled through town - needless to say it was not the same (esp after the hype I had given it from my childhood memories). Meadowlark and Curly were the 'trotters for me
  18. One of my lowest points as a Bills fan was in 2001 when the Bills played the Chargers with Flutie the first time. I was watching at a local 'Bills bar' and there was a large group of Bills "fans" cheering loudly for Flutie and against the Bills the whole game. They actually cheered wildly when the Bills lost. It made me sick. I let them know what I thought of them too.
  19. That's one of those picks that makes you go "oooofff"
