  1. He wouldn't know about that I'm guessing. I've read he's a huge trash talker, but never uses a swear word. Personally I find those two things, trash talking and swearing to be inclusive of each other.
  2. Actually to be honest 2 nights ago, I dreamed the Bills lost to Indy 17-0 It was 7-0 most of the game early in 4th Indy got another TD, then added a late field goal. I thought of posting this yesterday in the predict the score thread but didn't for fear of being banned. But since you specifically started a thread about Bills dreams felt had to respond.
  3. I'd be tempted to sit Beasley another week and go with McKenzie in hos role since he is now listed as full participant.
  4. What really surprises me the most about this whole thing is that Rodgers is 37. That's only 2 years less than Brees but seems like he was around much less. Guess it was due to those year sitting behind Fauve. In 2035 I may post the same thing about Love who prediction: also doesn't play first three seasons before finally getting a chance
  5. To me the thing about Allen was the accuracy idea that it can't improve. I think that's true if you just have a scattershot arm, but if you issue is all on mechanics that can be improved upon. When Taylor was here, he'd threw many inaccurate passes. However I don't recall people talking abut his mechanics being bad, he just was inaccurate. Allen worked on his mechanics. After his rookie year he went back and worked in off season. It did seem to help some but not too much likely case of in practice when he was nice and calm, he'd remember everything, but once the real bullets started flying, he'd often revert back to old bad habits. It took another whole year to finally get enough reps to the point where the good mechanics became a natural thing for him to do and could do it without thinking. Couple that with as they always say, the game has slowed down for him, so less need for any panic to set in. Also implemented some new training methods too. You could argue this is really only his 5th year of any high level football, 3 in Buffalo and 2 in Wyoming which many would argue wasn't that high a level to begin with
  6. I don't know, on the 30 for #0 The 2 Bills he was pretty entertaining. I think he just takes coach speak to a new level, but if not coaching anymore, he certainly could provide technical information better than most. I do agree his voice tone which is no fault of his own is difficult to listen to. He doesn't have a TV voice as they say
  7. Maybe part of that, but bigger part may have been he didn't at all agree with benching Fitz. Maybe his plan is that he and Fitz go somewhere next season as a package deal. LOL
  8. Yeah would depend how bad Denver would want Lynch and would he even want the job as may be in better situation in San Fran. As others also pointed out, he may only agree to it if he's given more power than Elway. He's done enough to warrant asking for that.
  9. Is Gettleman with the Giants safe? Kind of amazed that he is. He'd be another one who if fired may be able to get a job working for Beane. Is funny how often in the NFL the student eventually becomes the boss of the teacher, think more so than in real life. I wonder if they'd approach the 49rs to ask what they'd want in compensation for Lynch? He does has a history with Elway though I think San Fran is a better situation than Denver. (excluding income tax)
  10. Don't disagree with anything you say, but my observations are the players are not wearing the masks nearly as much as the coaches are and as you said, half the time it seems they are there to protect their goatee.
  11. I hear you, but will still be worried about that until around 4:00 Saturday afternoon.
  12. Since this thread is about McD, two big knocks on him from past 3 seasons were clock management and challenges. How do we feel he did on those this season? Personally I don't recall much issue on either, may have been game early in season before the half wasted some time, but overall seemed better IMO?? Agree? Disagree?
  13. Half the players aren't wearing masks many times, seems like the NFL is pushing the coaches to stay masked up, but ignoring the players for the most part. Kind of makes sense too as the players are out there during the game right next to eachother maskless so why worry on the sidelines while the coaches are supposed to keep them on all the time. One thing I have noticed McD kind of presents an era or discipline and mental toughness filtering down to the players. Of all the coaches you see on the sidelines, he seems to have the least issue with keeping it on, rarely have I seen him with it down around his chin. To me this shows the mental toughness side of him. He just ignores it. Or may just be when you're 13-3, less need to lower it for screaming?
  14. I'm sure they are saying the same about us too. the one thing we've struggled the most at is stopping the run, so does give me concern. Granted better of late, but not great either.
  15. A number of people defended the Bills, basically stated "because they can" One thing I didn't see mentioned was the Bills did it with as many second stringers playing as they could. Last two of three TD's were both runs too I believe Miami kept passing the ball too trying to score and when not successful giving the ball right. Even in the NE game, the Pats just ran the ball the last five minutes or so just trying to end it quickly, Miami didn't really try to do that. I will agree with one comment they made, I did think the end of game handshake between the 2 coaches was a very quick exchange, quicker than normal, so maybe Flores was mad. Granted it could come back to bite us next year, will see.
  16. I vote for Tuesday night and a Steelers win!
  17. Someone had to vote for the long snapper, glad I was the first!
  18. Agree with signing him to a contract, but look at the Mahomes deal that he signed last July. It was an extension so the 2020 hit was not very large $5.3 mil. The big numbers kick in in 2021 and beyond. So if the Bills did the same with Allen, his cap hit in 2021 should also be in that range. Therefore some money left for signings and I'm assuming the cap will go up to the rumored $190 mil. That would leave the Bills about $20 mil over. Need to keep about $5 mil for draft picks, another $3 to $5 mil for rainy day mid year signing fund, leaves $10 mil plus any cuts/extensions for FA which I can see them shedding around $30 to $35 mil Agree with you on Knox and even if he doesn't become a star, they don't use the TE that much. The other thing with a guy like Roberts, if they bumped his salary by 50% would still be under $3.5 mil so easier to afford good players at low cost positions. I figure too the Bills likely will be drafting no lower than 25, good change around 29 to 32 range. To me the two biggest needs are #2 CB and edge rusher. At low of a pick IMO less risk in picking a CB that can start immediately than an edge rusher as that is a longer learning curve. Would more try to find a FA signing there using the saving from cutting Butler and Addison as those two add up to around $15 mil I think they'll retain two of the three between Feleciano, Morse & Williams so would draft in the 2nd round whichever they don't sign, kind of hoping it's Morse as easier to find an inside guy in round 2 than a tackle. I'd also draft a 2nd lineman maybe around the 5th round too. The other position I'd look to draft at fairly high would be LB
  19. Exactly he is basically the owner right now. Eventually if the team is sold, the new guy doesn't have a history with Elway so he could be gone. It's really not much different than in Buffalo with the Sabres, most aren't happy with Pegulas there, and they've fired people and taken more power, but they can as they own the team. Elway is the acting owner in Denver right now.
  20. Agree with most of what you stated. My order of pending FA signings would be Feleciano, Milano, then Williams. Would be fine with letting Morse go if means we can re-sign Williams. Don't think they can afford to dump Star, but a year away and his high salary does worry me too. Think they will keep Jefferson, Butler will likely be gone and would be fine with also cutting Addison if it meant bringing in a more pure edge rusher as do feel that is one thing the team could do better at. Brown either needs to take a big cut to save cap money or likely cut him. Would tender Wallace, Bojorquez, & Boettger as they come cheap. Would also bring back Roberts, Marlowe, and T Jones. There's a lot of debate about Barkley, one way or another they need a back up QB so the question is there someone better or cheaper to sign. He didn't look too bad this week playing against a supposed top defense. Similar with Kroft, you need that person on the roster so if not him then who. Not sure I like the idea of another rookie in that spot, maybe Sweeney has shown alot off the field that they feel he can fill that role? All this TE talk or Ertz, etc, think is a waste of time. Bringing in a much better TE just means less passes thrown to Diggs, Beasley, and others. Allen finished the year about 1.5% below the season leader, that's about an extra 1/2 more pass completion per game, 5% below the all time leader which equates to about 1.25 more pass completions per game. There's not enough passes available to worry about getting better at TE.
  21. Porn, what is porn? I'll have to see it to decide! PS Is the pic on the right from one of her more artistic movies? I'd think more people would switch to ATT if that was what she was wearing in the commercial. I believe she's in one of the current evening network series shows too?
  22. Think Rex's defenses worked real well 10 years ago, then offenses adjusted so Rex went back and tinkered with his defenses and likely came up with ideas that would have worked however at that point they became to complicated for most of today's players to execute in the heat of the game. The only guy who seemed to be able to do it was Jim Leonard. Just saw him on TV the other day as he is now the DC as Wisconsin. The other issue too with Rex is don't think he really wanted to put the effort in that is required of todays coaches. I recall him commenting how his brother Ryan would still be working late where as he already went home. Guess he was needed there more to rub his wife's feet.
  23. You'd need a pretty big room to fit all the HC who have signed to big HC contracts only to leave twice. On the Bills alone, Rex, Jahron, and Chan Gailey come to mind. The only unique thing with Marrone was that he walked away from the Bills and wasn't fired. But atleast he did take Jax to playoffs, better than the three I mentioned on the Bills.
  24. Was kind of disappointed as was expecting him to be throwing darts that could easily hurt someone. Can't believe we even drafted him based on those throws.
  25. Legitimately IMO Allen should finish second in voting, but likely will be third.
