Gruden really liked Peterman. I wonder if they called about him before getting Hack.

If Daboll can take it, so can the player. Do you think the good QBs in the league never had a good tongue lashing? Saban chews out Daboll

Buffalo Bills get UDFA steal in OT Ike Boettger from Iowa

Looks like a big waist bender to me. -
I have to admit, I was pleased when the Bills moved up to get a highly rated LB. I am not a scout but I've watched football for about the past 45 years. I decided to watch Edmunds on youtube. I watched about 4-5 full games where he was highlighted on every play. I came away really underwhelmed. It seemed like he hardly ever made a play. I didn't see any big hits. He was almost always out of the play. Did we draft this guy because he is big and runs fast? I just didn't see a big time playmaker.

I would like to know if the scouts, McDermott, Beane, Joe Schoen, Malik Boyd, Lake Dawson came to a consensus that Allen was better than Rosen. If this is the case, then I am good with the pick. If Rosen was felt to be the better pick but Pegula made the call, then nothing has changed in Buffalo.

The board will run smoothly if we draft Darnold or Rosen. and don't take up much bandwidth.

If Bills trade up to pick 5 or 6

I think giving up the 32nd pick next year is well worth it! -
If Bills trade up to pick 5 or 6
turftoe replied to BBillsWestCoast's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If we offer #12 and 2019 1st, I think Indy would certainly be interested, possibly Denver. Indy would then have 2 #1s and 2 #2s next year. We would still have all of our picks this year to fill our many needs. We will have a lot of $ next year in free agency. -
Report: Bills Unlikely to Trade Up to No. 2 - Rapoport

He said there were 8 elite non QB players = pick 12. -
Ian Rapoport - Bills not going after 2nd pick
turftoe replied to Ittakestime's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wouldn't wait too long to see if Denver is really interested in trading down. They could try to freeze teams trying to trade into the top 5 by making them wait until they are on the clock. They could bait teams thinking they are trade partners. If they will not trade before the draft then don't count on them to move when the pick actually happens. -
John Elway has a need for QB. What is to keep him from playing along like he wants to trade pick #5, holding teams like the Bills from moving up until the pick comes up. He could then say... "Sorry suckers, I'm picking the QB". I wouldn't trust any team that has a need at QB. If the Giants want to stay in the top 6 picks, then try to get #4 or #6 as part of a move up to #2 or even stay at #4. I just don't trust Elway and the Broncos.

The young receiver crisis and Giants-Lauletta - SI piece
turftoe replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He has decent size 6' 2-5/8", 222 lbs with 9 5/8 inch hands. He threw the ball only 52 mph at the combine. Similar in many ways to Peterman (53 mph) and AJ McCarron (53 mph) Throwing the long out will be tough for this guy without the velocity. -
Who here has won 2 national championships and is sick and tired of playing backup?

Richie Incognito Un-retires via Twitter?
turftoe replied to loyal2dagame's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think RI should ask the Bills permission to seek a trade. He could call Aaron Kromer in LA and see if he could play for the Rams. They are loading up for a run at the Super Bowl. He played well under Kromer for several years. Just a thought. -
Should The Bills Let Richie Incognito Out Of His Contract

First give back your signing bonus then ask nicely with a pretty please and a cherry on top. -
Hanging on to 2019 1st round pick

Next year's draft is called free agency. We are going to have a boatload of $ to spend. I'm ok with trading next year's #1 if we get a franchise qb. -
Richie Incognito Retires Via Twitter - Now Confirmed

Bologna! A guy renegotiates his contract and gets a $1M check and a couple weeks later he retires. It's totally in bad faith and the Bills have every right to get it back. I think the Bills look worse if they do nothing. -

I think we draft OL x 2 this draft. If we need to trade up, trade next years picks. We will have a ton of $$ next year to sign free agents or trade for other teams players. -

I would like to hear what RI's former agent has to say about the whole thing. Maybe Richie pushed for the new deal so he could take his signing bonus and run. The whole thing kind of stinks. Fire the agent and make it look like your upset at the Bills. Heck, the agent even gets $ for the renegotiation. I really wonder who pushed for the renegotiation, Richie, the Bills, or his agent? I'm convinced he liked what he saw when Eric Wood got a medical retirement after re-signing with a good sized bonus.
