  1. I didn't say we should stop trying to get one of the top guys but if the Giants and Browns do not want to move down then the top 4 guys are probably gone at pick 5. I'm not sure there is another QB worthy of a first rounder. I just happen to think that McCarron is going to do well with Daboll as OC.
  2. True. I guess it all boils down to how much the Giants feel they need a QB. They are sitting pretty, if they want one.
  3. Tom Donahoe sure got it right that time. You can see him standing there. He was instrumental in guiding the Eagles in that direction.
  4. I think you may be right. Seems that the 2nd pick makes more sense but maybe Gettleman isn't willing to trade down. I think the Jets must have tried to get to #1 and #2 before making the deal with Indy. All is not lost. I think McCarron is going to do better than people think. Don't reach for a QB if a franchise guy isn't there.
  5. I think the daily application of black hair dye is staining Bruschi's brain.
  6. Not with a 10 foot pole!
  7. Carlie Casserly's ability to go unscripted Casserly
  8. Talent...yes. China doll...also yes
  9. Let the price come down a bit and sign McCarron.
  10. I'm guessing that it was Indy that offered a 2nd for Foles. He is well known to FR and adds insurance if Luck isn't ready to go early in the season.
  11. I think that the Browns really want Allen but would rather not take him #1. They figure he will be there at #4. Dorsey likes big strong armed guys and Allen has already said that he would love to be a Brown. Maybe the price comes down a bit if both Cleveland and NYG really want to trade out of #1 and #2.
  12. I wouldn't trust anything Todd Mcshay says about QBs. Does the name Jevan Snead ring a bell? McBoob
  13. This is the way Philadelphia moved up to get Wentz, first trading up with Miami to get to pick number 8.
  14. Accuracy is the necessary trait of a franchise QB. The top 3 have it. The bottom 2 don't! I think the Browns will take Darnold followed by Rosen to the Giants. That leaves Mayfield. If the Broncos get Cousins and the Jets pick Allen, you could see Mayfield slip down to the early teens. The cost to trade up from 21 to 14 (ahead of Arizona)would be reasonable. Mayfield is a bit immature but does have Moxie. A little like JP Losman in terms of maturity but Losman didn't have short to intermediate accuracy. Allen sure looks the part but 56% completion? That stinks and the windows are smaller in the NFL. Mason Rudolph is fairly accurate but can't extend plays like Mayfield. Rudolph also has small hands! Bottom line- Moving up to the low teens for Mayfield makes a lot of sense to me.
  15. Certainly not this early. They haven't even had a chance to meet Rosen or Darnold at the combine or at pro days. Possibly a few weeks before the draft if they are sold on more than 1.
  16. I agree. Frank is due for a HC job.
  17. It's sad. This is how poor Jerry tries to get his relevance. He posts how waiting for Gronk was like waiting for the royalty but he couldn't just leave, after all, he was about to have his big moment in the sun. Cam Newton, LeBron James, yada yada yada. Jerry, you look silly and TBN looks silly.
  18. Well, think what you want. I realize that Beane wasn't here when these players were signed but he had no trouble shipping Darius, Watkins, and Darby. Darby was a starter and returned a 3rd rounder. A 3rd round pick has value. The guys that we kept to pass on a 3rd round comp pick will probably not even be on the team next year. Certainly, Hyde, Poyer, and Hauschka were keepers. You could still have kept either Holmes or Davis and had another 3rd in April. If it were low level free agents that we lost, then the comp would have been a late rounder. We lost Gilmore which would have clearly netted a 3rd. Who are we going to lose this year that will bring that kind of value?
  19. Trading Darius for a 5th didn't really help us. Do you think a team would trade their 3rd rounder for Ducasse, Holmes, and Davis? I think we only needed to trade or cut 2 of these to get a 3rd. Beane missed an opportunity but I still like him. NE and Baltimore do a good job with trading or signing guys that don't count against the formula.
  20. Baker Mayfield's height 6' 3/8". Hand size 9.5 inch.
  21. Subscribing to the BN keeps Sullivan employed. Therefore, I keep my money.
  22. I think Mccarron could be a good fit with our new OC. Since he could be a free agent, any trade with Cincinnati would likely require some type of contract extension. Personally, I still think Peterman has similar qualities and may show better with our new offense. We have so many needs in the draft, I would hate to see us bundle a boatload of picks to move up into the top 5 for a qb. Mccarron rookie profile Is that you, Brent?
  23. Now I see why it was my lowest score on the SAT. Dang.
  24. These 2 guys deserve each other. Go Patriots! I can't believe I just said that.
  25. I'm hoping the Bills win a SB before Darius. I think he was forcing the Bills hand with a trade but is saying otherwise. I would love to hear Bean's take.
