  1. It’s the butterfly effect… if the ref doesn’t throw a flag for holding, Josh doesn’t injure his elbow. If Tremaine doesn’t hit Dane Jackson’s neck earlier this year, there is no time delay to see to Jackson’s neck, therefore Micah Hyde never injures his neck… because the play where he did it wouldn’t have happened at that particular point in time. Of course all sorts of dynamics change with every play. Could be others who got injured at some point. Or maybe no one.
  2. That’s a BS play by #83 there diving at Rousseau’s legs. I thought that block was outlawed anyway? Seems the entire defense started their slide after his injury.
  3. Has to be better than Jaquan Johnson, if I were Beane I’d look into it.
  4. Undersized, yes, but his athleticism shouldn’t be an issue. I’m not going to condemn the rookie on his first ever NFL start. As others have said, Johnson was far worse at safety, surprisingly so. I knew he wasn’t a great athlete, but he supposedly had the instincts to play faster and take proper angles. We saw none of that.
  5. There’s almost always a receiver open on every play. I don’t mean “wide open” but someone’s NFL open somewhere. And if they aren’t, it’s also possible for the QB to throw that player open, although those passes are much more difficult (of course). Allen just isn’t reading the field right now. Shakir and Knox in particular have been wide open and NFL open but he’s predetermining where he’s going with the football. Usually the cause of that is a lack of trust in the OL, the feeling that the ball has to go to this guy against this defensive look, but the OL has blocked fairly well, so I don’t know why he has stopped going through his progressions. I don’t know what his issue is, but he needs to snap out of it quickly.
  6. Bills had 254 yards of offense but only 14 pts at halftime. They had 63 total yards and 3 points the entire second half. Brutal. This loss was absolutely on the offense, as was the Miami L.
  7. You can’t make plays if the ball doesn’t come to you. You’re just assuming Knox is at fault and/or playing badly. That doesn’t necessarily have to be the case.
  8. 3rd and 17, Mahomie rushes for 20. Chiefs drive for game tying points. Oh so close Titans.
  9. I can’t really even say that he’s been playing bad because the ball hasn’t found him much, at all. We don’t see the routes where Knox wins and Allen never looks his way. It’d be another thing if he was getting the opportunities and not making the most of them. Allen just doesn’t use his TE like Brady or Mahomes.
  10. The contract extension was curious (given his production to date) and no bueno. I maintain it would’ve been smarter to wait until after the season to see how he fared in Dorsey’s offense, even if it meant a slightly higher dollar amount at the end, than paying him the 6th highest salary at the start of the league year. Wonder if Beane has any buyer’s remorse.
  11. This is funny, because Chiefs fans believe Josh is surrounded by the better supporting cast and would take our weapons over there’s. I guess it’s all a matter of perspective, but they think Mahomes passing to Diggs, Davis, and Knox, while handing the ball off to Singletary would be far more dangerous than Josh with those weapons.
  12. I disagree. That play against the Rams was far worse. Kroft caught the pass and was the sole one to possess the ball on his way to the ground before the defender stuck his hands in there. That Jets player never had sole possession. He probably had less than half a possession on his way to the ground, but credit him for not giving up on the ball.
  13. It was close. As the two were falling to the ground, Edmunds had more control, not full control, but more than the Jets receiver. As they hit the turf the receiver had enough of the ball to get both hands in there for a simultaneous possession. If Edmunds had more of the ball he easily could’ve ripped full control away, but alas, either through dumb luck or lack of skill, his biggest critique strikes again - just can’t make the big plays.
  14. Chiefs fans are loving how this loss looks for the Bills. Predictably they’re saying Allen is nowhere near Pat’s level. To me, Mahomie is far more consistent on a game to game basis, whereas when Allen is on, he’s at least Mahomes’s equal when Mahomes has his A+ game working. The QB I saw today play for the Bills, I haven’t seen in quite some time. It’d be different if he was under duress play after play, but he often had time and was just missing open receivers, either through bad reads or bad throws. Hopefully he’s just as hungry and committed to the game now as he was during his late season/playoff surge and the beginning of this year. The Super Bowl is out of question if he continues to play the way he did today.
  15. We need more Von Millers, Matt Milanos, Hydes, Poyers, and Rousseaus. Guys who offset mistakes with big plays and will make things happen. I’m starting to sour on Oliver as a priority re-sign. He’s been far too invisible in the interior.
  16. If we’re going to get gashed in the run game and fail to stop the higher end QBs in the league - or even the Zack Wilson types - then yeah, the guy who makes next to no impact plays can get paid by another team this offseason. Von Miller is great value at $20M/yr, he makes a lot of plays. Milano makes mistakes, but also makes game changing plays at $11M/yr. Paying Edmunds north of $10M/yr isn’t smart money. He just doesn’t make the plays he needs to and is almost never around the ball to do so. Always a step late, or chasing.
  17. Jerry is still a good player and would’ve probably looked great rushing opposite Von, but he wasn’t coming back to this team as a backup. It was time for the youth to step up.
  18. If Edmunds was a thorn in our biggest competitor’s side - the Chiefs - then he’d be a must re-sign. The fact that no one can point to a single play he has made against that team, in the last 5 games, that made you leap out of your seat, lessens his value in my eyes. If he’s as easily manipulated by Mahomes as all the other defenders in the league, what exactly is it you guys want to hold onto? Why pay him a contract that exceeds Milano’s AAV? This is my biggest criticism with Edmunds. He doesn’t make many of those plays that pop off the screen - against the Chiefs or any other team.
  19. Those 3 drafts were bad, I agree, but none were worse than 2000. It’s not possible. 2016 still has a couple of productive players in the league, the others had contributors as well. None of those 2000 players were worth much outside of Sammy Morris when he wasn’t injured. I could compile a list of the undrafted players from 2000 that would be far more productive than the Bills picks.
  20. Not the Hopkins hail Murray, I meant the DJ Moore prayer that happened on the last play in regulation this past weekend.
  21. This would be an interesting topic: name the Buffalo Bills worst draft. For me, it’s 2000. Only Sammy Morris amounted to anything and that wasn’t much. Leif Larsen was picked 5 slots before Tom Brady. Dark times.
  22. I don’t want to pile on negativity here, but what is the biggest play Edmunds has made against Mahomes and the Chiefs? In the last 5 matchups, what play has stuck out more than any other? His strengths should stand out against the Chiefs, but I think he’s easily manipulated by Mahomes.
  23. I liked his potential more than David Sills who we had here years ago. Sills has been a regular in that NYG WR rotation.
  24. Not sure why Dean didn’t turn his hips and run for the endzone when that receiver got within 10 yards of him. Players make mistakes all time, they’re human, but that hail mary should’ve been easier to defend.
