On coaching, if Dorsey is thrown out McD might as well follow. We saw with our own eyes McD pointing to his head “be smart” as Josh decided to truck defenders for one yard rather than get out of bounds. If Dorsey can’t get through to him, if McD can’t get through to him, then it’s time to move on from both… BUT Josh would then be labeled a “coach killer” until he changed his ways. Maybe a disciplinarian or intimidating coach like Parcells is the only way, but those coaches have to have hardware to pull off that style in today’s NFL. And we’re not getting a SB winning head coach in here. Bienemy as a HC would quickly lose his players because he doesn’t have the hardware to back his hard-nosed coaching style. Commanders were already complaining about him as coordinator.

No doubt about that. But if the Bills want to be a Super Bowl team Josh has to be the reason for winning the big game, not a liability like he was last night. He’s a 6 year pro bowl QB who just made the cover of Madden. Wake up, Josh! The whole non-Bills nation is laughing at you this morning. It was far more Josh Allen and his faults than it was Ken Dorsey.
-
I find it comical the QB could play that bad - with open options we’re all seeing - and some of the complaints here are Dorsey, Dorsey, Dorsey. It’s Josh Allen, Josh Allen, Josh Allen. That’s why we lost, not Ken Dorsey. Any coordinator would be handcuffed if his starting QB plays that way, especially against a good defense. There aren’t any other easy layups Dorsey wasn’t utilizing because the layups the Jets were giving you, Josh wasn’t taking.

Offense looked alot like the Bengals game. Very concerning

Peyton Manning threw 6 picks in a primetime game once
Brand J replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
Josh has a long way to go to catch Peyton Manning in the cerebral game. And I’m confident in saying it’ll never happen, he relies on his athletic gifts too much. -
Sam Martin's tackle attempt on the punt return TD in OT.
Brand J replied to Livinginthepast's topic in The Stadium Wall
Based on how the players are running after the snap, especially the gunner up top, the ball was supposed to be punted to the right sideline. It went middle left which threw off the coverage and had guys vacating their lanes to make the tackle. -
It’s easy to blame the coordinator when the offense isn’t working, but no coordinator can overcome a QB who’s not reading the field well and doesn’t know where to go with the ball post snap. These are the issues plaguing Allen. We marvel at Mahomes for hitting open receivers and give tons of credit to Andy Reid, but if you swapped QBs and Allen played in KC, the Allen of last night would look just as rough against comparable defenses and all those open players Mahomes routinely hits wouldn’t get targeted. Your QB has to know where to go with the ball. He cannot panic and run into sacks if the pocket is clean. For the Bills to win the Super Bowl Allen has to be the reason, not the liability he was last night. I can remember Mahomes being the sole reason his team lost the game. How many such games does Allen have?

We’ve needed to get faster at safety for a few years now.

11) No serious injuries

He had a great blitz in the first half and was tackled by the RB, surprised there was no call.
-
Actually all three of those players tested faster than Cook if I’m not mistaken.
-
That’s the main complaint I see as I watch him run. He doesn’t juke defenders out of their shoes, nor does anyone slide off an attempted tackle. Basically if he’s touched he’s going down. With that said, he wasn’t the reason for the L tonight, but a Jonathan Taylor, Breece Hall, or Saquon Barkley type of back with Cook’s speed would be invaluable.

Allen can’t be the reason his team loses the game. He just can’t. As a QB in his 6th year, with all the physical tools in the world, his mental game is behind the other top QBs and even Tua and I don’t think there’s any debating that. His floor is the basement and it doesn’t look like it’ll ever become the first floor. He’s just not reading the field as well as he needs to and no offensive coordinator can account for or overcome that. Not even the great Andy Reid. I don’t know what the answer is, but this team will never win a Super Bowl if he’s the reason for losses.

T Woolen was a genetic freak, but thought to be a project. He went in the 5th round. Who knew he’d play like a first round corner his first year? It’s all a gamble. I’d rather Beane trade down than up. Should also mention I was against the Kincaid trade up, but that’s looking like a solid one. Most others - besides Josh Allen - we could’ve done without.
-
Elam would benefit from a fresh start and if you asked him candidly I’m sure he’d welcome one. It stings even more when you consider we traded up for him.
-
I knew the Bears and their fans would have buyer’s remorse eventually, but didn’t think his value would be questioned after game 1! Edmunds is not a difference maker? I’m shocked! SHOCKED, I tell you!

If I could take any defensive player in the league, right now, it’d be Parsons. He’ll get a pass rusher’s contract, not a linebacker’s.

Interesting Buffalo News article on Dawkins
Brand J replied to Toledo Bill's topic in The Stadium Wall
He may not be long for the Bills. Notice how Dawkins hasn’t received any restructures or extensions. I think the Bills would like to get better at that position, but have had too many other holes elsewhere to replace what has been a mostly above average LT. -
When do you typically get big game, game day anxiety?
Brand J replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
Interesting dichotomy. Is it because you enjoy the lead up to the Arsenal game (with everything that entails) and want to relish in that? And don’t enjoy the NFL talking heads hyping a Bills game so you’d rather get to it quick? -
Need the 90s commercials to go along with it!
-
Kincaid said if he was able to run at the combine/pro day, his forty “would’ve been in the 4.5s.” Can’t remember where I saw that interview, but that’s his quote. Not sure where the 4.7 time is coming from.

Interesting Buffalo News article on Dawkins
Brand J replied to Toledo Bill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hmmm… count me among those who don’t completely understand the genesis of this article. We’re to celebrate the fact that Dion lost 40 extra pounds of fat as some sort of commitment to the team? Versus the alternative to this situation which is, you know, showing up and weighing 370 pounds? Commitment isn’t spending time shedding extra bad weight, commitment is getting with a nutritionist and personal trainer early in the offseason and dedicating yourself to working on your build, maximizing your athletic attributes to perform at your best in the 310-320 pound range. That’s commitment. Strange piece. -
A lot of money tied up in a non-protected position like QB. For him and his team’s sake, hopefully he stays healthy, but that would be a “no” from me, dawg.
