  1. Confidence. Does wonders for a player and he’s not playing with any.
  2. Dear McBeane, please stop trading up for non-QB picks and burning further resources in the process. There’s always better players that go after that pick and we’re missing out on other potential contributors. Thanks.
  3. I said at the time I thought it was a bad extension. Not because I thought Knox was a bad player, but because Dorsey/Allen had never utilized the TE all that much, so signing him for $13M/yr wasn’t going to magically change that. It was right around the time Knox’s brother passed and the franchise needed some uplifting news, so I don’t know if that played into it. I will say whenever a ball pops out of a receiver’s hands and hits the ground, I’m tired of seeing Knox or Davis on the other end of it. It’s grown very old.
  4. I saw A LOT of Dodson out there. Was it in place of Dorian? Or were the Bills running a 4-3?
  5. So the question is why was Kendall Vickers activated from the practice squad before former starter Poona Ford got a game jersey? Was Ford injured? In the dog house?
  6. Kendall Vickers over Poona Ford? Wow.
  7. Congrats to JT, well deserved. He and his running back mates deserve a bigger piece of the pie when you consider they’re asked to run the ball, block for the QB, go out for pass routes, and generally touch the ball on average 3x-4x as much as any #1 receiver.
  8. Von was cleared before Beane put him on PUP. I imagine these last 4 weeks he’s been working on his conditioning, but being in shape is quite different than being in game shape. If he can play - and by all accounts he’s fully healthy - then he needs to be out there stacking reps and getting his game feet back under him. I agree with the pitch count, don’t agree with holding him out if he’s physically able and 100% ready to go “just because.”
  9. If Bears fans are feeling down aboht Edmunds, or Ryan Poles is having buyer’s remorse, send these talking points to them that were regurgitated over and over while he was here: - Edmunds takes away the middle of the field, QBs are scared to throw in his direction. - Edmunds impact doesn’t show up on the stat sheet, but I promise he’s making plays. - It’s not Edmunds job to rack up sacks and INTs, that’s not his position. - You don’t understand the defense and Edmunds role in that defense. He’s a top 5 MLB. - Edmunds is really young and still improving. He’s basically a rookie. - Edmunds is the evolution of the MLB. Anyone complaining about him just wants Mike Singletary, Ray Lewis, Brandon Spikes, and other such thumpers. That’s just not the NFL anymore. Did I leave any out? I’m sure those points will make the organization feel better.
  10. That was 2021 actually! I had been talking trash about Edmunds to my sister about how he never makes any plays and it was her first game at Highmark and it figures Davis Mills would throw a pick directly to Edmunds 😅
  11. They need to find a happy balance between Tagliabue’s NFL and Goodell’s. Many of these personal foul penalties shouldn’t be personal fouls.
  12. Maybe they’re only grading the Raiders game 😅
  13. I remember him turning his hips and running to knock a pass down against MIN. Also catching a ball that was thrown directly to him against HOU for a rare INT. But when we’re touting routine plays as memorable, that’s pretty damning of the player. He had no signature games (or even game changing plays) as far as I remember.
  14. Dodged a bullet, never wanted him re-signed for a penny more than Milano.
  15. How is the total flight time 6 hours 19 mins? Is this plane moving faster than usual? I know a flight to London out of NYC averages 7 hours and NYC is closer to London than Buffalo…
  16. I’ll take our DL over the Commander’s.
  17. The irony is he had a relatively low missed tackle percentage here.
  18. I’m trying to remember what it was as well. The Bills held some other statistics like this and became the first team with those stats NOT to make it to the SB last year. Can’t remember what the specific stats were.
  19. Lawson has played well this year and tied for total pressures in one of the games IIRC. I think Kingsley would go before Lawson.
  20. Still don’t understand how someone as big as he is can get pushed around so easily. There’s only 2 reasons why someone would painstakingly put together a reel of a player’s every snap: to shower that player with praise, or to highlight his ineffectiveness. It’s obviously the latter in this case. On one of those early plays he had a beeline to the RB and could have made the tackle, but chose to run up to and engage with a blocking lineman. Reminded me of a similar play he had here against Tampa Bay.
  21. I think as a defensive coordinator, Sean McD would’ve known far less about the Panthers draft board than assistant GM Joe Schoen knew about ours - and Schoen didn’t know ours extremely well. Certainly not the finalized grades as Beane alluded to when asked what information they had to protect from Schoen as he ran his first NYG draft filled with Buffalo intel.
  22. It’s early, but Bernard is certainly playing like a 1st round off the ball linebacker. And those guys don’t usually go first round anymore, but he brings that pass rush ability too.
  23. Milano wasn’t Beane’s pick, it was Whaley/McD. Benford is looking like his best value pick so far.
  24. No room for him anyway. And if that horrid defense is releasing him, it tells me he’s likely a scapegoat of some kind. Maybe he was caught on film dogging it and going through the motions as Miami put up 70 and the Bears had their most productive day.
  25. Bengals, Giants, Patriots are all worse than the Jets according to this.
