  1. Rivera may get fired tomorrow. Bienemy gets his chance to be interim.
  2. I don’t know how the NFL can be pleased with its product today - and for much of this season. I don’t know if it’s offseason practice restrictions, talent parity, officiating or what - but this is the worst slate of 1pm games I can ever remember. It’s like watching preseason football. Garbage.
  3. Like Terry listened to Eichel? Never underestimate the desire of the uber rich to maintain stability and continuity at all costs. Never forget the “maintain our lifestyle” PowerPoint.
  4. From today’s Athletic, former GM Randy Mueller: To be fair, some of the Bills’ issues are injury-related, but some have been a function of McDermott’s ill-timed blitzes and less-than-ideal execution. By replacing his defensive coordinator last off-season and installing himself, he has to be directly accountable for the unit’s results. His somewhat defensive responses to questions about his decisions are seen by some as an effort to pass the buck. I would love to see more transparent self-accountability. Sometimes a little humility can go a long way.
  5. Do it again. And again. They should load up on fast guys who can actually catch footballs.
  6. No other team is going to “screw us” - Beane can screw himself by not aggressively addressing the offense yet again. If there’s a receiver worth drafting near their pick, go get him. Enough already.
  7. I wouldn’t go that far. Jim Caldwell is replacement-level. McD is a turnaround expert. Those types of executives usually get replaced once the organization has stabilized.
  8. If he's willing to cede control of personnel to someone who knows what they're doing, he'd be a huge upgrade. He won't, though - he will insist on full roster control which is the main reason his seat is so hot right now. But I'm not talking about this idea, specifically - I'm talking about your repeated expression of abject fear about moving on from our low-ceiling HC.
  9. Sean Mcdermott is 0-6 in overtime despite having one of the best QBs on the planet. I’d fire him as soon as the season ends. It’s over.
  10. The worst thing about McDermott-coached teams is that you almost always know how it will end.
  11. I am never a blame the refs guy but today was a Whole Nuther Level as they say. And I’m convinced NY called them at halftime and told them to get it together before the FBI opens a file.
  12. He is toast. So are Hyde and Poyer TBH. Father Time is undefeated.
  13. Harty being a $5M inactive today while Sherfield ran the wrong routes multiple times was a HUGE indictment on Beane’s pro personnel skills.
  14. Romo knew it was an all-out blitz before the snap - Gabe didn’t. /thread /Gabe
  15. He’s got the weirdest hook angle kick I’ve ever seen. A competent ST coach might do wonders but I don’t expect that under Sean.
  16. McDermott is an insecure tightwad who vice-grips the clutch at key moments. His team is a reflection of him.
  17. “Winning DNA” is not something this team has. For whatever reason (probably several including a tight ass for a coach). Hyde and Poyer are completely washed, also. Done.
  18. Too often on special teams things happen TO the Bills instead of the opposite.
