  1. Ummm...none. I loved the original Magnum PI. Wont dare watch a remake. Let the networks come up with an original idea and I'll watch. netflix seems to be doing it quite well. Let the classics stay as classics.
  2. I would just add that Daboll is a Buffalo guy (went to St. Francis HS). I don't know his personal situation with kids etc., but he may like being in Buffalo and living/coaching in Buffalo. He may not leave for the first thing that opens up. If a HC opportunity was a true plum job...sure. But I could see him being picky and wanting to win a SB with his hometown team as well.
  3. Can we hire the Jest ST coach? They always seem to have good ST.
  4. 1) Guns N Roses/Metallica/Faith No More Stadium Tour - Rich Stadium July 25, 1992. Faith No More opened and was awesome, then Metallica came out and rocked the whole house for like 2 hours. Axl was at his bitchy best and delayed GnR coming onstage for like 2 hours. The camerman proceeded to focus on every good looking girl and put them up on the jumbotron where 80,000 people chanted "show your t*ts!" About 90% of them did. Then GnR came out and performed a terrific set. Here;s the wiki about that tour with setlists from the Rich Stadium show. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guns_N'_Roses/Metallica_Stadium_Tour 2) Zac Brown Band - Citi Field July 28, 2018. It was 100 degrees, on a summer Saturday and people were hammered from over imbibing all day long, suffering heatstroke and extremely belligerent in the GA area. Unlike the Zac Brown show there in 2016, they had no pit area so it was a general free-for-all. Zac Brown stopped his set 4xs bc of fights breaking out. Not fun at all. 3) Burning Man - Someday it will happen. 4) The Doors, Live in New York - January 17 and 18, 1970 - Felt Forum NYC. Fortunately there is a box set of this, but I wasnt alive at the time and Jim obviously didnt live much longer. But for the guys who were there it was absolutely amazing they say.
  5. Love this kid. Hoping he can be a real mauler on our line for years to come. Excited to watch this kid develop. EDIT: and the 5th round has been OK to us...Kyle Williams, Matt Milano....lets not sleep on this kid because of the round in which he was picked.
  6. My condolences Jim. May he RIP. Its terrific you had as much time as you did and that he was able to enjoy skiing until he was 89. Gives me hope that I enjoy it that long. Per your request... Year was 1996 and I had just turned 21. I went with my Dad when I was on home for break to a place I had never been...the old Boston Hotel in Boston, NY. On this particular night it was 99 cents a dozen for clams, oysters and other nibbles but we were there for the clams and oysters. We started with two dozen each of raw clams, raw oysters and steamed clams and ice cold pitcher of Labatts Blue. It was the first time I was drinking in a pub with my Dad. We were scarfing down plenty of clams and oysters and enjoying ice cold beer. This was great! We ended up polishing off 16 dozen total and washing it down with a couple pitchers. Was a terrific memory for me because it felt like we crossed a line...a very good line together.
  7. I was there in late August. Stayed at a Best Western which was perfectly fine and had a decent hotel bar for afterwards. Colonial Williamsburg was 5 min away, Busch Gardens was 15 min. The Busch Gardens waterpark, Water Country USA was a ton of fun. If you like roller coasters, Busch Gardens has like 7 or 8 and they are all pretty cool. Walk around Williamsburg and pay a la carte for what you want to do rather than buying tickets. Shooting a colonial musket was fun, as an example. The restaurants in Colonial Williamsburg are overpriced, but the food can be decent. We ate there two nights.
  8. Eat at Tadich Grill. Great place. https://tadichgrillsf.com/
  9. Not a meme...but this is the first thing that popped in my head when I read about Peterman's QB rating Zero Point Zero
  10. Its unbelievable to me that his teammates are getting in his contract business when he is only one play away from never playing again. I hope Bell strolls in in Week 10 looking like he spent the season eating Cheetos on the couch and cramps up his first play and goes on the "injured" list. Bell deserves to get paid a real contract with real guaranteed money. I am always on the players side in these kind of disputes.
  11. Best concert I was ever at was in the early 90s at RIch. Faith No More, Metallica and Guns N Roses. Would LOVE to get a reprint of that poster.
  12. Damn! Thats some serious successful picks...Moulds and Kyle Williams
  13. This is totally accurate. He should be someone's Director of Pro Personnel and he would do a fantastic job.
  14. My biggest disagreement with the "analysis" is that he claims the playoff berth was detrimental. I disagree completely. That berth got the 17 year playoff drought off the teams back. More importantly, the new staff won't be fielding questions about a playoff drought they had no part in creating. It bought them time to do the rebuild right. I just hope Allen proves to be the guy here.
  15. JMHO, but I love reading deep dives inside the numbers and trying to figure out why things are happening. This applies to all sports I religiously follow (football, baseball, hockey). Lets take a deep dive into the numbers and then let the writer give me his/her opinion on it. I may not ultimately agree with the writer, but I really respect that type of analysis.
  16. Ty SDS and everyone who make this board what it is. I moved to NYC from Buffalo in 2000 and shortly thereafter found this board. Been a great source of Bills discussions over the years.
  17. Good. About damn time. I think Andre should be retired as well.
  18. I mean...let him open a strip club as well and have the strippers give foot massages to customers while wearing lingerie before shifts. He would make a million bucks!
  19. Lets just hope she is smart enough to listen to the sports business people she has working under her rather than thinking she knows it all. I am hopeful she will act this way, but cannot, of course, be certain.
  20. Pretty simple really....keep work at work and extracurricular activities away from the office. Your office persona should be 100% professional. What you do on your own time, is up to you. Example....Brian Cashman had a messy affair/divorce that was front page news for weeks in NY. He is still GM of the Yankees. If the affair was with a Yankees employee, I think he would have been gone years ago.
  21. It wouldn't be the worst idea for Cleveland to take two QBs. It worked for the Dalls Cowboys of the early 90s. Took Aikman #1 overall and then used the #2 pick of the supplemental draft on Steve Walsh. That pick of Walsh cost the Cowboys #1 overall in the 1990 NFL draft, but Walsh was then traded for a 1st rounder, 2nd rounder and a 3rd rounder in the 1990 season.
  22. TBH, todays Buffalo is far more vibrant and exciting than it was 20-30 years ago. Huge improvements have been made and downtown by the waterfront looks fantastic. Much credit is due the Pegulas. I took some time to drive around the city when I was there last August and again in March. Very impressive from what I remembered.
