If we beat the Bengals, we’re winning the AFC
bills_fan replied to No_Matter_What's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bills will be the 5 seed and play at the AFC North division winner in 1st round. Its the most likely path. I hate it, bc I really wanted us to have home field. But cant lay 2 eggs vs Atl and Miami and expect anything. I think there will be upsets in the AFC playoffs, so hosting a playoff game is not unrealistic even as a WC. Might just be the AFCCG. -
So friggin cool! My inner football nerd is excited after watching that. TY for sharing.

We ran that in HS. Called it the 5-2. Also had a S come up often against running teams. It was pretty effective because everything gets clogged up. Gotta have CBs to to stay w the WR tho. Doesn't really work well if you play zone in the secondary. Lots of open space back there.

I think we may be set at S for the foreseeable future. Bishop will be the full time starter and has really developed into a playmaker. IMHO, the ceiling for him is very high and the trajectory is clearly pointing straight up. Right now, Poyer has helped immensely in Bishop's development and I think Poyer is enjoying this ride. He still has the skills but I read a couple weeks ago he believes this is it for him. Maybe he retires and becomes a coach next year. He would be very good at it. Opposite Bishop, I can see the Bills moving Taron from NCB to the other S this offseason. Hancock will be the backup. IMHO, Taron would be an excellent S. He is a sure tackler, good in coverage. May not have the same fast twitch reflexes from a couple years ago (hence the move) but he is smart and knows the defense. With Hairston and Benford at boundary CB, we need to find another NCB in the draft. I do believe our secondary will be a major strength of this team next season.

Get Olave!!!

Well thats exactly it. In the OP's chart, our record (and Ravens) are far and away above that of anyone else. Both teams have run into the Chiefs dynasty. Kinda why guys like Malone, Barkley, Ewing etc. retired ringless in the NBA from the 90s..their primes were at the same time as Jordan's or Hakeem's. Hats off to KC. To be the man, gotta beat the man. And its that time IMHO... There is also the fact that McD is not perfect, there are a handful of coaches who I believe are better. But....if you make that kinda change, you better be right. Cause then you really blow Allen's prime if you are wrong. Only coach in the last 5 years I would have made the move for would have been Vrabel. Just my $0.02.

This whole game being on a Sunday night against the Patriots seemed an odd duck when the schedule was announced. Like why put this game in that slot? Should have been a 1 pm game. But makes sense that its the Pats coming out party and return to relevance. The penalties just confirm it.

Deciding between Colts and Cardinals. Both good choices I think. Thoughts? I've used Broncos, Cowboys, Seattle and Texans.

Cash Rulez Everything Around Me...

I posted that before the Dart news. I agree with all of your points. I decided to go with Houston this week.

I'm leaning toward Texans. Good time to use them the more I read on it

I've used Denver, Dallas and Seattle. Trying to save the very best teams for when I really need them. So, gonna try and avoid the Bills if possible. Detroit could have some hangover after that big Baltimore win and Cleveland can play defense. Chargers are an interesting one to me this week. Yes, flying across the country is not ideal, but can anyone realistically see the Giants winning that game?

Charlie Kirk shot in the neck in Utah......in critical condition

The 60s were dark times for that sort of thing. JFK, RFK, MLK... these are just keyboard warriors voicing their own echo chambers. I try to ignore that nonsense. -
The Ugly The Bad The Good... The Bills Defense v Ravens Thoughts
bills_fan replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall
Could Bernard ever be moved to SS? He ran a 4.59 40 (same as Ravens Kyle Hamilton) so speed isnt the issue. -
Thought Davidson would make it based on Beane's comment in Hard Knocks Ep 4 about "If he was a pro personnel scout, he would be asking who is number 84," but I wish Davidson luck.
-
Like it so far, but hope to see Davidson and maybe Buchele there, as well as Hamler.
-
Hope so. He seems like a good dude. Wish he knew how to return kicks, bc that would seem to be a great role for him (if he was good at it).
-
Hopefully we can get Gore and Davidson to the PS. Maybe Buchele also.

My best takeaway was that Tre looks sharp, fluid and in fantastic shape. Getting me a bit excited and hopeful that we see the old Tre this year. Would make our defense very good.
