I tend to agree especially after watching them on Sunday. It's been puzzling, when McDermott came in he preached physicality, discipline and tackling. And that's exactly the team we had the first few years. Tenacious, physical. Good tacklers. I don't know what the heck has happened! I used to think Daboll brought a softness to the O, but look how he had the G men playing this year on both sides of the ball! I certainly believe on the D end, it's partly due to Frazier. His personality and style permeate his D. Again you would think a guy who played on those great Bears D's would preach aggressive physical style. It's been very puzzling and disappointing to watch this the last two years.

Attitude, motor and bulk mean little when you are a turnstile in PP in the NFL. Period. The Bills cannot ASSUME he will get there, they MUST draft or sign a RT. Healthy or not he has shown he is vulnerable to edge rushers for two years now. Sundays performance was pathetic as was the Fins playoff game. Unfortunately he's a tweener. Not big enough for a typical DT, and simply not enough of a fast penetrator to be a difference maker. Would I trade him? For the right deal, in a heartbeat.

This! We run a Tampa 2 for the most part. That requires a impact DT (Sapp), which we don't have. Ed teases. And a great rangy MLB. Again Maine has been a tease. It's a passive D compared with others. I've never liked it. For us older fans it reminds me of the Walt Corey D's back in the glory days.
