  1. I think he will be out gadget guy on end arounds, punt returner, #4 wr and deep threat. We still need a true slot receiver to move the chains and McKenzie isn't that guy.
  2. Every free agent thinks that they are going to cash in big, but the more time passes, the more they realize that their value might not be as high as they thought. Good players will still be available in a week, and they will have lowered their contract expectations and might be willing to sign a cheap one year prove-it deal with a contender.
  3. Yes, but we were already about $16 Million over the cap, and then we signed Matakevich, Dodson, Cam Lewis, Sam Martin, and Ike Boettger. I'm not sure exactly how much cap we have after all of that, since the full contract details haven't been released for all of them.
  4. I think we will probably wait for the dust to settle and sign some discount free agents at safety, receiver, and linebacker. Even after the restructures, we only have ~$15 Million in cap and still have a rookie class to sign.
  5. Jordan Love looked pretty bad in limited playing time as a rookie and has definitely benefited from having a couple years to develop behind Rogers. Green Bay can now trade Rogers for a couple 1st rounders and built around Love. They still have him for 3 more years with the 5th year option and can franchise him for a year after that. Aaron Rogers sat for a couple years behind Favre and that seemed to only help his development.
  6. The Bears got a ton of draft capital and DJ Moore instantly upgrades their receiving corps. Now they need to shore up the offensive line and continue to rebuild the defense after trading away Roquan Smith and cutting Trevathan.
  7. I would like to tag-and-trade Edmunds for a 3rd rounder, then take Jack Campbell in the 1st, a receiver in the second, and a guard and safety in the 3rd (I'm assuming we don't re-sign Poyer.
  8. They should just tag-and-trade Jones to the Jets or Raiders, then draft a qb. He's worth $20M per year at most.
  9. If healthy, he's definitely an upgrade over Saffold.
  10. If your qb needs to practice falling down in the off-season, maybe it's time to upgrade the o-line.
  11. Considering Poyer is likely gone and Hyde is recovering from a neck injury, I would rather keep then all and cross-train then to play safety. Having too many good young defensive backs on cheap contracts isn't a problem.
  12. Michael Thomas had 1725 receiving yards in 2019, which was also the last season in which Odell Beckham has over a thousand yards (1035)
  13. Michael Thomas had 1,700 yards in his last full season and if he's 100% healthy, then he's the top wr available. Offensive line is the bigger concern, but we definitely need to give Josh another consistent weapon next season.
  14. The weird thing about Allen's interceptions is that they are very rarely on 50-50 balls. He tends to lose sight of a defender playing zone coverage underneath and he thinks he can gun it past them.
  15. I think a lot of Brown's struggles this year have been because he wasn't 100% recovered from his back surgery. For a guy who's 6'8" being able to bend is crucial to handle edge rushers. I think next season he takes a big leap forward.
  16. The best way to get pressure against an O-line that doesn't have experience playing together is to use stunts and disguised blitzes so that the linemen are unable to figure out their blocking assignments. I would love to see Rousseau used more on inside stunts considering he was extremely successful doing that in college.
  17. The Dolphins have some great weapons on offense, but the way they handled the Tua injury might hurt their chances of signing a top qb. Their offensive line is also pretty suspect.
  18. Ironically, the guy criticizing him was Sammy Watkins, who hasn't played a full season since his rookie year 🤣
  19. I'm holding out hope that we can get a 1st round bye and have Hyde, Poyer, White, and Benford all healthy and ready to go heading into our first playoff game.
  20. I think Gilliam has been underutilized as a receiver. I would like to see him used as a target in the flat on play action more often. He has even shown an ability to get open up the seam on occasion.
  21. Basham looked dominant at times in the preseason and early in the regular season. I think it's too early to call him a bust as I think he still has some untapped potential. I bet he has a breakout season in the final year of his contract and gets paid elsewhere.
  22. Spencer Brown had off season back surgery and it seems he's finally returning to form just in time for the playoffs. Ike Boettger is back and if Morse is healthy, I feel pretty good about our o-line's chances of protecting Josh.
  23. I wonder how team owners feel about the 1st round bye considering they're losing the revenue of a home playoff game
  24. He was pretty ineffective even when healthy. I think keeping Hodgins would have been the better choice in retrospect.
