  1. Losing Poyer hurts. I feel like he would have had another multiple interception game against Pickett.
  2. It's become clear that Russell Wilson's hand and shoulder never fully healed. He has lost the ability to throw with any velocity or accuracy.
  3. Wagner should just say that he thought the guy was holding a bomb and that he was a security threat. He just has to be careful what he says on social media that might contradict that. Even if that angle doesn't work, the court of public opinion is very much in Wagner's favor and he acted reasonably in that situation.
  4. We need to sign a receiver so we can let Gabe Davis' ankle heal properly.
  5. I would be curious to see how well our defensive ends have played when Von Miller lined up opposite them vs someone else.
  6. Our offense didn't get off to a slow start, that was just foreplay
  7. This is more of a compliment to Singletary that he held on to it despite a great strip attempt by the defender.
  8. Bizarre timing considering all the injuries at slot receiver. Maybe he was frustrated that he wasn't called up from the practice squad.
  9. I really hope James Cook becomes more of a threat in the short passing game. He has had too many drops for someone who was known as a receiving rb.
  10. Screens are most effective on plays where the defense blitzes. Teams now know that if you blitz us, Allen will evade the pressure and find a man downfield. If we want to defeat the Cover-2 shell that a lot of defenses are playing against us, we need to fix the run game.
  11. I think Pickett plays relatively well and makes some big plays, but also has multiple turnovers. Shakir has a big day in his first start in the slot. Bills 28 Steelers 17
  12. I don't think we need to run that often (unless we have a huge lead) but we have been unable to get anything going on the ground and we are forced to play out of the shotgun on 3rd and short since they can't even get enough of a push to run a qb sneak.
  13. With inflation, the cheapest ticket would be $33, which would still be a good deal.
  14. We've taken O-lineman mostly in the later rounds and the one earlier one (Ford in the 2nd) was a complete bust. Considering the resources we've put into the D-line, we're scrimping on the offensive line in comparison. I think Josh's athleticism and pocket presence allow them to not worry as much about protection, but the running game is suffering.
  15. We haven't taken an offensive lineman in the 1st round of the draft since Eric Wood back in '09. That has to change if we want this offense to reach its potential.
  16. The O-line has underperformed, but they's a chance it could gel like it did late last year. Kromer brought a new scheme so it might take them some time to adjust. I wouldn't rule out a trade for an interior lineman.
  17. I think he comes back after the bye week at the earliest. No need to rush him considering Jackson and Elam are playing well. Tre will need a couple weeks of practice once he's cleared by our doctors.
  18. The Ravens receiver was wide open and Poyer closed in and made a spectacular play. It reminded me of Hyde's interception last year against New England where he came out of nowhere to take away a sure touchdown.
  19. Poor guy... I think he'll be good in the long term, but this is trial by fire.
  20. I would have expected us to give up 300+ yards in the air due to Poyer/Hyde/White/Jackson being out and rookies manning both outside CB spots In reality, we have only given up 150 passing yards per game (which is 2nd best in the league with the 49ers in the lead but they're playing the Rams tonight) and only 3 passing TD's allowed I would have expected our run D to suffer with Hyde/Poyer/Phillips/Oliver out In reality, we are 4th best in the league and giving up only 3.5 YPC Lezlie Frazier deserves to win Assistant Coach of the Year
  21. He said "Thank you for attending the game. I'm sorry the final outcome was not to your liking, but I hope you enjoyed yourself"
  22. Defense based on my expectations due to injuries. If you told me we were going to be without Tre White, Ed Oliver, and Micah Hyde, I would have thought our defense would be a liability. In reality, they have kept us in games long enough for our offense to finally click.
  23. It's hard to tell how much Rhodes has left in the tank. He's played in Leslie Frazier's scheme in Minnesota so I'm hoping he can have a bounce-back year and give us some physicality at the cornerback position. Once healthy, we may see him subbed in on goalline and short yardage downs to play press.
  24. Singletary and Moss are both very good in pass protection. I think Devin just wasn't expecting Dawkins to get beat that quickly on the edge (because it doesn't happen very often) He may have been assigned to pick up interior D-linemen considering we had a patchwork interior o-line with all the injuries.
  25. Last season, we were 7-6 at one point and still had an opportunity to get to the Superbowl. Every other team in our division is dealing with quarterback injuries and we have only played one divisional game so far. I am confident that we can win tomorrow, but even if we lose, we have a long season ahead of us and a lot of star players who will soon return from injury.
