  1. I noticed he was on the bench in the 4th quarter once the game was in hand. It's smart to limit his snaps if we want him to be fresh for 20 games
  2. I was pleasantly surprised to see that our rookie cb's avoided being penalized. Kupp found soft spots in the zone, but overall they held up very well in coverage (the pass rush certainly helped them out)
  3. I agree that he is a horrible gm. Another Jerry Jones situation where his ego prevents him from realizing others are better with personnel. The 71-79 record includes when he was head coach of the Browns, who had a bad roster and were in the process of leaving Cleveland. Belichick was still finding his way as a head coach. Bill also managed to have winning records with Matt Cassell and rookie Mac Jones at qb.
  4. I won't believe the fall of the Patriots until I see it. They made the playoffs with a rookie qb and have a defensive mastermind as their head coach. I have heard this same story every preseason for the past decade. The Patriots are a threat as long as Bill Belichick is their coach.
  5. The Bills defensive players and coaches have absolutely used the ending of the Chiefs game as motivation for the past 6 months. They had the #1 defense in the league, but that one drive ruined their reputation.
  6. Dolphins. We crush them everytime we play them and adding one receiver won't make Tua a great qb. They haven't proven they can win consistently, so I have less concern that they can challenge us for the division.
  7. The timing is absolutely terrible. No chance at returning this season, and no good replacement options available. Bud Dupree has done nothing since he signed with the Titans, so it may be up to Rashad Weaver to contribute as an edge-rusher.
  8. 17-0 for the same reason. We have no choice but to score on every drive!
  9. "We fired you so we could replace you with someone younger and cheaper, but please don't accept any other job offers in case we made the wrong decision"
  10. I was hoping we could keep McCloud on our practice squad due to our lack of depth at the position. Tenuta and Owen are developmental guys with no ability to play this year Kingsley Jonathan stood out on a number of pass-rushing reps and was the only one of the UDFA d-lineman who looked like an NFL caliber player.
  11. I don't mind dead cap hits for players that weren't producing. It sends a message to the team that we will keep the best 53 players regardless of your contract or draft status.
  12. I think he'll be our most effective runner, but he will only reach 1,000 if Moss is injured for a significant part of the season.
  13. I forgot the most obvious one. There should be a bunch available after today's cuts. Kern was cut by the Titans and Sam Martin from the Broncos
  14. Here are the positions I think we add to this week: Interior OL: with Boettger on PUP, Van Roten is our only backup Outside CB: With Tre on PUP, I think we make a veteran addition and send Cam Lewis to the practice squad Backup QB: I think we add a younger qb for our practice squad (Davis Webb seems like an obvious choice)
  15. I just hope we have Tre back for week 6 vs the Chiefs. The rookies and Dane Jackson will have to hold the fort until then.
  16. It looks ugly on paper, but all three were the right moves. It's hard to admit when you're wrong, but sometimes you need to cut your losses and move forward We're saving them for next year to commemorate our Superbowl victory.
  17. I don't think there's any way we can keep both Zack Moss and Duke Johnson (though they both looked good in preseason) If we can get a draft pick for either one, that would be a win.
  18. I don't believe anything Belichick says. They have a young qb who should improve significantly entering year 2. They added Davante Parker. They have a very good offensive line (as usual) The combo of Damien Harris and Rhamondre Stevenson is going to wear out opposing defenses. They have lost stars on defense, but Belichick always finds a way to put his young players in a position to be successful. They were leading the AFC East for a significant portion of last season. Belichick is a master of deception on and off the field: "Appear weak when you are strong, and strong when you are weak "  Sun Tzu
  19. They still have a lot of great players on defense and good skill position players on offense (Corey Davis, Elijah Moore, Garrett Wilson, Breece Hall). They just need Zach Wilson to develop and stay healthy. My bet would be teams like the Seahawks/Falcons/Texans/Commanders/Lions since they might be tanking for a qb next draft.
  20. He rolled out of the pocket, appeared to take a helmet-to-helmet hit and then the defensive end landed on top of him pretty hard. I'm not sure what the specific injury was.
  21. It would be insane if he's not suspended for this. A fine is not enough for assaulting people at work. The excuse that football is a violent sport is BS.
