  1. I think this is a result of getting a lot of veteran free agents to sign with us on cheap contracts in order to win a ring. Late round picks and UDFA's have a tough time making the roster. Not a bad thing in my opinion.
  2. All of our defensive tackles are in a contract year, so they should be playing hungry to land a bigger deal in the off-season. Ed Oliver has shown glimpses of high level play, but hopefully he can break out this season, even if he ends up signing elsewhere.
  3. Great signing and it's after May 1st so it won't affect the compensation pick formula
  4. The Browns had a surprisingly great draft considering they didn't have a pick until the 3rd round, yet somehow managed to get Cedric Tillman, Siaki Ika, Dawand Jones, Isaiah McGuire, and Luke Wypler.
  5. I hear Reggie Ragland and Brandon Spikes are looking for work 🤣
  6. His skillset and physicality seems to point to him being a safety in the NFL. He's at his best when he can face the qb and react.
  7. With Ojomo gone, maybe the Bills take DT Jalen Redmond. We have no DT's under contract in 2024 so we need to restock the trenches.
  8. Good trade. We get a free 7th rounder and swap this year's 6th for next year in a stronger draft pool.
  9. I think Kincaid is treated more like a jumbo slot receiver and Knox will stay in-line and block half the time. If the defense plays in nickel to put a db on him, I'd move him back in-line and run it. If they put a lb on Kincaid, I'm confident in his ability to get open. I think 500 yards is realistic if he stays healthy.
  10. Jerry Jones looked pretty upset after, so I'd bet Beane was right about him wanting Kincaid.
  11. Sleeper picks in round 3-7: OG Andrew Vorhees - He tore his ACL during the combine, which hurt his draft stock a lot, but he could be a steal. The injury may drop him from a 2nd rounder to a 4th rounder. TE Luke Schoonmaker - Better blocker than most of the top prospects and a good receiver with great speed for his size (4.61 at 250lbs) He will likely fall due to how many good tight ends there are in this draft. Would be an excellent #2 TE for us. ILB Dorian Williams - undersized cover linebacker who could be available late in the draft if we miss out on the top guys. WR Kayshon Boutte - His stock is low due to an injury plagued 2022 season, but he still has the potential to be a difference-maker in the NFL
  12. The first couple weeks of the season are usually a bit sloppy and players are still building chemisty and rookies are still acclimating. In October, every team still has a chance of making the playoffs, and players are still relatively healthy and fatigue hasn't set in. 17+ games takes a toll on players and I'm hoping they eventually add a second bye week because it would increase the level of play.
  13. I feel we may be at an awkard spot at #27 if there is a run on offensive tackles. I think Beane will try his best to trade down for more picks and then move up the draft board to get his guy. OT and ILB are the obvious holes, but TE are DT also need to be addressed. It seems like Beane makes more draft day trades than any other GM.
  14. It's weird that he had such a bad vertical jump at the combine, yet his highlights are full of him hurdling guys. This is why timing your jump is more important than how high you can jump.
  15. He also had offseason back surgery that seemed to limit his ability to bend.
  16. He would be a great addition, but I don't like the philosophy of going "all-in" and giving away long term assets for an expensive veteran. At least getting Von Miller didn't cost us a draft pick. Instead of worrying that our "Superbowl window" is closing, we should draft and develop young talent so that we can have sustainable success.
  17. The only lb I would take in the first two rounds is Jack Campbell. I think we can get a guy like Daiyon Henley or Dorian Williams in the later rounds. I think Klein is just a placeholder until the draft.
  18. You also have to bear in mind that we probably won't run 11 personel very often so we might get more value out of a solid RT than a high end #2 TE
  19. I disagree with 3 TE being a possibility at #27. #2 TE is a need, but OL and LB should be addressed first. There is a ton of depth at TE in this draft, so we should get the best OT while there are some left and wait until the 3rd for a guy like Tucker Kraft or Luke Schoonmaker.
  20. I would like to take the best remaining OT (if there are any left) at #27 and wait until the 2nd or 3rd to take a TE since there is so much depth at the position. DT is a sneaky need for the future considering we don't have any under contract for 2024.
