Yes they should have…that’s my point on Brown. 2 picks for many receivers end up being a TD & an incompletion for Brown. I hated going against him at Tennessee. I’m glad he’s in the NFC.
-
My thoughts exactly. That was a great trade for Philadelphia. Brown is a game changing receiver. Diggs is good, but he’s not in the same class as Brown.

So, no one can blame the 4th Super Bowl loss on you!

Michael Irvin Removed from NFL Network Superbowl LVll Coverage
Tulsabillsfanz replied to T&C's topic in The Stadium Wall
My friend was a good friend of Troy Aikman. Troy never mentioned Irvin, but in his first few years in Dallas, he was embarrassed to be around Jimmy Johnson & Jerry Jones at parties. Both of these married guys (in their 40s) would have a few drinks and hit on girls Troy’s age (early 20s). Johnson was also notorious at Oklahoma State for chasing coeds. If Irvin is guilty, he may have learned from his former coach and owner. BTW, Troy is a good guy, who donates to sports at his old high school without having his name attached. -
Diggs vs. Josh: Sideline Disagreement?
Tulsabillsfanz replied to Nextmanup's topic in The Stadium Wall
We should sign or draft a big time WR. If we do, he will get a lot of targets & Diggs will throw his sideline tantrums about that. -
We went 14-4, even losing Hyde & Miller. It definitely ended poorly, but this is overreaction. We do have big contract decisions with Poyer & Edmunds. We also have crucial draft picks coming up. We can’t afford to miss our first 3 picks like I think we have for much of the last 4 drafts.

Franchise in trouble- Josh Allen has regressed
Tulsabillsfanz replied to RoscoeParrish's topic in The Stadium Wall
Every single QB in the NFL will “regress” when he’s constantly under pressure. We absolutely need to spend our $ & first round picks getting a better OL. 2nd round picks on WR. Get Von Miller to recruit defensive free agents. BTW, we don’t need to draft the tallest OLs, we need to draft the meanest, toughest OLs. -
Beane’s mediocre draft record
Tulsabillsfanz replied to Shanahan's Horseshoe's topic in The Stadium Wall
We really haven’t done well in the draft the last few years. We have had to rely on free agents to plug too many holes. Drafting late in each round is obviously a factor, but our first & second round picks in the last few drafts are not performing up to their draft slots. -
Mental toughness - a very important characteristic
Tulsabillsfanz replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
I was impressed that after the strip sack fumble TD gave Miami their first lead of the game (24-20), we were able to answer with 14 points to take back control of the game. -
This was a horrible game to watch, especially after we led 17-0. It was 4 hours of stress. It seemed everything was pointing to an upset loss for us: terribly timed timeouts by us, multiple uncalled Miami delay of game, then delay of game called when we stopped them, big pass plays overturned, etc. We just couldn’t seem to catch a break all game, until that final first down call. But, a win is all that counts in the playoffs!

Ryan Clark was the best I’ve seen on ESPN in quite a while. Very impressed with both the Bills & the Bengals tonight. Our family turned the sound down & we all prayed for Damar Hamlin. The ONLY good that comes out of times like this is real priorities are easier to see. My prayer is with Damar & his family. May he walk out of that hospital.

So, reading the board, we lost again. 3-11. Sigh.
Tulsabillsfanz replied to ChicagoRic's topic in The Stadium Wall
As objectively as possible: We’re the #1 seed in the AFC, with an 11-3 record against the 3rd toughest schedule in the league (per Sagarin ratings). We have accomplished this despite critical and untimely injuries, like the loss of Morse during last night’s game. Have we played great every game…no. Have we persevered in a talented AFC East Division….yes. Are all of our preseason goals still alive….yes! I’m going to enjoy watching a replay of last night’s comeback victory, it was a classic! -
What was the furthest you traveled to see the Bills play?
Tulsabillsfanz replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Tulsa to Buffalo. It was the September 2011 game that we came back from 21 points down to beat Brady & the Patriots! I combined a business trip in central Michigan with an ending weekend in Buffalo. My kids were thrilled to miss school for a week until they realized my wife would work them harder on schoolwork at the hotel than their actual school! At the game, a Patriots fan was sitting behind us, talking how he had an 8 hour drive home to Maine after the game. I told him I had an 18 hour drive home to Oklahoma after the game. We had to have my high school age son home in time to catch a noon travel bus to Oklahoma City for a JV football game. We literally watched Buffalo’s winning field goal, got in our SUV & drove home to Tulsa, arriving at around 9:00 AM central time! -
NFL Week #14 - Jets at Bills - Post game thread

The pictures make it look like both Klein & (#4) Johnson’s fault. -
Tre White will be make a huge difference this week.
Tulsabillsfanz replied to TC in St. Louis's topic in The Stadium Wall
Wilson was getting open on every route vs White. I was glad he didn’t get more targets. I don’t know if White was tentative, rusty or still not 100% physically. Wilson was the 10th pick in the draft & he looks like a good pick. -
NFL Week #14 - Jets at Bills - Post game thread
Tulsabillsfanz replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Defense is the key to winning big games. As frustrating as our offense was today, our defense really played well, especially when it counted. The d-line wanted to show they’re very good, even without Von Miller. I think they showed they are. -

Tulsabillsfanz replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think your point is correct. We need at least one other receiver to step up. Davis did last season, hopefully he will again. McKenzie just can’t drop so many passes. I keep hoping Shakir will step up. Almost every time I thought Josh threw a bad pass, the replay would show a good pass that was a drop or the defender outfighting the receiver. Did we make any contested catches today? -

Tulsabillsfanz replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Our offense isn’t built for Buffalo winters. Our QB maybe, but not our offense. We have an average at best running game (especially when a running play is a probable option) & receivers that are not sure handed. I’m happy with the win, but we need to figure out a winter weather game plan. That may include more Shakir & Hines, less passes to McKenzie & maybe even Knox. We really need a stud RB, but that’s a next year option. -
Ravens and Lamar do not reach contract agreement
Tulsabillsfanz replied to Steel City Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall
I only saw a few of Lamar’s plays today, but one of them was an odd backwards pass as he was being tackled. Baltimore was very lucky that it was only a 10 yard loss & not a turnover. JA would’ve been universally grilled if he made a play that carelessly. -
Allen & the Bills were tired of all the stupid “don’t win the close game stats” & decided to add this one to the close game W column. Of course they will need to stay away from reading this message board for awhile, the fan base can only handle 20+ point easy wins.

JA: Yips, new OC, or poor OL?
Tulsabillsfanz replied to Professor Worthington's topic in The Stadium Wall
Exactly. Did we miss something? Wasn’t that Josh Allen leading us 90 yards down the field for the go ahead TD with 2:40 left. Wasn’t that Josh Allen throwing an incredible 36 yard pass to Diggs to lead us to the game winning FG in less than 20 seconds? Yes, JA has struggled at times, but he’s still a great QB & he had no yips when the game was on the line today. -
2 RZ TD passes for Allen today. He also rushed for another. RZ offense got it done today, & we won the game.
