  1. I do agree with your comments, especially the last sentence. Ironically, McDermott actually said the opposite with his halftime comments. He said we can’t let up, the game is far from over. However, I agree he coached like he thought they had the game won if we didn’t give it away with TOs. Fortunately, he was correct!
  2. That was shortly after they showed Harbaugh’s halftime comments that Baltimore must stop the run in the second half. Baltimore was selling out to stop the run. We didn’t adjust our second half play calling to counter that.
  3. That’s because these sports show idiots picked the Ravens to win. Now, they can pretend they were correct if Andrews just makes the catch. We all know Josh would’ve have driven us down for the win anyway.
  4. I think we would’ve opened the playbook back up, driven down the field and won the game. We played not to lose way too much with second half play calls. It would’ve been different on the final drive. Like no behind the line, wide out throws to Dawson Knox on 3rd & 5. Josh has led many late scoring drives in big games. He did it twice in one game in Kansas City a few years ago! I think he would’ve done it again!
  5. I agree McDermott made the right decision on 4th down. I do think the spot on Josh’s run was bad. We should’ve had 3rd & 1. Then it would’ve been tush push TD time. I do wonder if the helmet to helmet shot that #44 gave Josh earlier in the game made Brady shy away from the tush push on 3rd & 2. As far as play calling, I found the coaches halftime comments interesting. Harbaugh said Baltimore must stop the run in the second half. They did sell out and they did stop the run in the second half. McDermott said the game is far from over & Buffalo can’t let up. He said we have to control the line of scrimmage. I thought Brady’s second half play calling was very different than the first half. I thought he called it defensively from the first drive on. I don’t know if he recognized that Baltimore WAS selling out to stop the run in the second half, but he didn’t adjust the play calling to reflect that. I do believe Josh would’ve led us to victory on the last drive if Andrews made that catch. I’m also glad my heart didn’t have to go through that! It’s nice to win a game where the opponent gained 100+ more yards than us. I believe that’s pretty rare for Buffalo. Now, let’s slay the dragon & get on to the Super Bowl!
  6. At our house in Tulsa, with kids, their spouses and friends and even a future Bills fan (our first grandchild), due to arrive this summer!
  7. I hope the line stays where it is. I want us to be underdogs heading into the game. We need to play this game with a chip on our shoulder.
  8. Baltimore is 10-0 when Henry runs for 100 yards or more and they are 3-5 when he runs for less than 100 yards. In the last 4 games he’s averaged 158 yards per game and 6.5 yards per carry. I know Lamar is great, but stopping Henry seems to be the key to stopping Baltimore. Whatever defensive scheme we can come up with to limit Henry, short of turning Lamar loose, would be the winning game plan. What that scheme is?….. I have no idea!
  9. I think it was “sorry we missed that call, but you have to tone down the yelling or I will have to flag you “. I think Josh was being classy after the game and only sharing the last part. That would square up with Josh’s history of always taking the blame for a loss & never taking the credit for a victory! Josh does the opposite of a lot of athletes, especially the “look at me” athletes! He’s a great role model that I wish others would follow!
  10. Do the Chargers or the Steelers have a better chance at winning in Baltimore ? I think it’s a slim chance for either one of them, but the Steelers have some history behind them. I do think the Chargers would have the best chance at upsetting the Chiefs in the divisional round. They may even be favored to beat Houston in the wild card game.
  11. The Chiefs just need to rest Mahomes for the next 2 games. If they lose both of them & Buffalo wins both of theirs, they can then start Mahomes for the Denver game so he will be warmed up for their wildcard weekend game.
  12. OR “you messed up calling time out!”
  13. Excuse me for asking, but this the first time time looking at this chart. For Josh , it looks like he is slightly above average on his accuracy, but he has receivers who are very bad at getting open, relative to the rest of the league? If so, that would’ve been my guess before looking at that chart. .
  14. Campbell played well yesterday. He tackled Josh 10+ yards downfield. I can’t believe Campbell is 38!
  15. Except that it’s his right wrist that’s supposed to be injured. It looks like the left wrist hit hard & awkwardly on the ground. Or at least it was his left wrist that appeared to take the weight of his body as he landed.
  16. I’m 2 weeks younger than my favorite team!
  17. That college highlight video shows Virgil has plenty of speed and agility. If he’s smart, he’ll hang around Cooper and learn route running and the finer points of being an NFL WR!
  18. I’m not sure there’s a test that would predict the future for a kicker. A lot of us thought we were invincible coming out of college at 22. Then as we age, reality sets in and we get a few “scars”. How we react to these scars is the big question. For golfers, some develop “the yips” & miss easy putts at times. I view kickers similarly to golfers. Bass has shanked kicks multiple times now and that’s like a golfer shanking an iron into the gallery or 3 putting from 5 feet. It’s very rare for someone to completely overcome that. Unfortunately, missing a kick is way more consequential than one bad golf shot.
  19. Great PS signing! Very high upside potential with minimal risk. I see the 2 big factors in his downfall at Minnesota as the serious leg injury his rookie season, followed by a new defensive coordinator coming in after his rookie season. Now he gets his new start with his old college position coach and his new head coach loves to coach up DBs. This really has the potential to be a great redemption story. Let’s hope this potential story becomes reality over the next few years.
  20. As someone who has watched a bunch of Oklahoma football, I consider Caleb Williams to have the arm strength and athleticism of Kyler Murray and the competitive fire & football IQ of Baker Mayfield. And, I say that as someone who is not a Caleb Williams fan because he transferred from OU to USC. Personally, I am just glad he ended up in the NFC, because I think he will be a very good NFL quarterback. I should also add that I am correct 50% of the time!
  21. I watched him play as a freshman at Oklahoma and he was incredible. He has a very high football IQ & is extremely competitive. I hated to see him follow Lincoln Riley to USC. I believe he also has the physical attributes to be successful in the NFL. I will be surprised if he doesn’t become a very good NFL QB & I am very happy he’s in the NFC.
  22. Amy Grant released a very popular Christian song “El Shaddai” in 1982. It includes the name Adonai. She pronounced it “ah-doe-nigh”. Adonai Mitchell’s parents may have heard “El Shaddai” on the radio or at church. I know I did.
  23. I was a big OJ fan growing up. We moved out of Buffalo around the time he started playing for the Bills & he was the main reason any Buffalo games were shown nationwide, which was my only chance to watch Bills. Growing up a big sports fan, my childhood heroes (other than my dad) were athletes & many also turned out to be great people, like Lou Brock (St Louis Cardinals), the Selmon Brothers (Oklahoma football), etc., However, not all of my childhood heroes were worth idolizing and some are now not worth remembering….OJ tops that list for me. In the end, my only wish for OJ was for a deathbed confession, but that apparently didn’t happen, or his family will never share it.
