The special teams captain, not the kicker, should’ve involved in the coaches decision. That player, or players, then relays it on the sideline to the others and AGAIN, on the field in the huddle. I played on kickoff teams. We know what the plan is BEFORE we trot onto the field. The kicker or punter warming up is fine, but he should know what to do before he gets on the field and this should be REAFFIRMED once again, on the field. If this didn’t happen then it is a massive PROCESS breakdown.

Lots of drama on this was the year. With Allen and this core group, the Bills need to win their division and win the conference 1 seed. Do that and we get to the SB.

I would like to know how McD didn’t help the offense? What do you have to suggest this?

I was out on Friday with a former, now retired, St Louis Rams football executive. He said that McDermott has transformed Buffalo from a place that no players wanted to go to, to the exact opposite. He talked about the terrible reputation The Bills had among NFL coaches and players during the drought. So yes, lets fire him and take our chances again. Just look at all the losers that Pegula has hired for the Sabres and think twice about firing McD or Beane. Pegula got lucky with McDermott. Bills history has never seen us fire a good coach to hire a better one. It has never happened yet. McD and/or Frazier made bad decisions in the last 13 seconds, I agree with that. But firing him is just a ridiculous over-reaction. I will take the Pittsburgh Steelers model. Keep your coach, let him learn just like the players do, and let the stability of a well run organization keep you in contention.

Oliver definitely came on. We could have used a sack or pressure on that dreaded 13 second final drive. Just needed one more player to make one more play. The defense is good but it lacks an impact player and that shows in big games against great talent.

Just look at how deep our DBs were playing on the 25 yard pass to Kelce on the play before their tying FG. Clearly, McD and Frazier were defending a Hail Mary long play instead of defending the crucial yards to a FG. It was one of the few plays that Mahomes didn’t have to scramble. Kelce was untouched at the line, and all alone to our 40. SOFT defense. What were the coaches thinking???

Although I think McDermott errored on the kickoff and in the defensive strategy at the end, I agree with your sentiments.

Agree on the kickoff. I think they were looking for a Hail Mary on second down with 8 seconds left. Kelsey gets an uncontested 25 yards and their kicker hits from 49. Terrible defensive is strategy.

Biggest game of the McBeane era. As usual, I am nervous about the game. Looking forward to the game. I think we need to jump on them and play with a lead, avoid turnovers and penalties, and just go after KC. Play to win every phase. Try to overwhelm them. Hard to do on the road, but there is no holding back today. Go Bills!

Tennessee didn’t do that. The crappy owner, Bud Adams, did. His family still has controlling interest of the Titans. Remember Adams giving The Bills the finger after a game in Nashville? That’s was after Ralph was inducted into the HOF. Something Adams never achieved.

Uh, no. The very first NE SB winning team was loaded with mid priced free agents. Not a lot of big names but he singed lots of veterans to that team.

No he isn't. You want the #3 guard to be pushing the starters, if they get hurt or play poorly you want no drop off with #3 in there. Ike's run blocking is terrible. He is not athletic at all. For a #4 you want a guy that can also center and be versatile. Ike is not that either but Feliciano is. Ike can and should be upgraded and I would like to see the Bills find a stud OG in the next draft.
