So you just don't get what leadership is? Lets of good comments here that should help you. Today's player mostly do not respond to grab the facemask types, or to the blamers, etc. That was for another era when players made less than $20,000 and sold insurance in the off season.

Ok. So the dummies that wanted to fire McD are proven wrong … again. Hey Mods, can this thread be shut down?

Lee Smith actually did a fine job. The mistake was not having anyone decent to replace Smith in that role for most of this season. Tommy Sweeney is not the answer at TE#2. Doyle is a much better run blocker and he is athletic enough to catch a short pass. It’s a good role for him and it gives the offense another dimension.

He really is an azz

It’s past midnight. Still kinda shocked. Taking in the perfection I just witnessed. It couldn’t have come against a more deserving team than the Pats*. I think we got Bill good tonight.

1/15/22 WC PLAYOFFS Bills vs Pats* Postgame Thread
Bob in STL replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
One of the BEST games in Bills History. It is right up there with the AFC Championship win over the Raiders, The Comeback, and a few others.- 547 replies

Patriots LT Isaiah Wynn is OUT vs Bills
Bob in STL replied to Allen2D̶i̶g̶g̶s̶TBD's topic in The Stadium Wall
He does it every game. Usually far too often. -
I’ve been laying low. I’m 63, been waiting a long time. I have football cards and a scrapbook starting from 1964. I think the Bills are a much better team. I think we should win Saturday. The weather is a factor, no doubt. The Pats* and Belichick mystique is a factor too. I just want to win and put them behind us for a long time.

Miami's defense had a name like "No Name" in the 70's. Yes, and more strange is that I remember fans complained when Rueben Brown made the Pro Bowl every year, saying that he wasn't that good.

most underrated move by Beane during his time here

Trading Dareus at full salary for a 6TH rounder (Ray Ray Cloud). Getting rid of a "non process" guy and creating salary space was important in building the team. -
Shaq Lawson possibly returning to Buffalo

Our DE’s accounted for 20.5 sacks. Our team defense had 42 sacks, 11th overall in the NFL. Not sure that is an unmitigated disaster but we certainly want more given the draft position investment in the DL. -

There have many others. Usually the more senior guys. They become subject matter experts. -

Called the West Called Offense in the 80’s and early 90’s. Now an evolution of it. -
Anyone else worried about daboll heading into the playoffs?
Bob in STL replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall
Woeful offense? Didn’t we lead the league in points? Aren’t we in the top six in yards both passing and running? You want to worry about things out of your control? Worry about punting and catching punts. -
Even if Beasley was a vaccine advocate with no controversy on the subject, I think injuries and the pounding is taking a toll. He is not open as much as prior seasons. He is probably hurt again. I see a number of higher paid vets that will likely be gone to make some cap room needed to fix some roster holes. I think Beasley will be one of them.

Daboll's Play Calling -- The Good, The Bad & The Ugly
Bob in STL replied to HIT BY SPIKES's topic in The Stadium Wall
Daboll is overall very good but my criticism of him Is a lot of cute plays in the red zone that are low percentage chances. That and the inability to adapt to the bad weather at home games. That means run more to set up the strong arm of Allen. Without a run game Allen will be throwing into heavy coverage packages plus wind. Make the other team cheat up on the run and Allen will have more open receivers. The marginal run game (when you take out Allen’s running) is probably due to personnel. Most of the season the OG play was very poor. We have no blocking TE. Other than Singletary’s recent late season play, we don’t get much from the RB position. -
Very stupid move by Miami FO.
