  1. Agreed - I think he’s a pretty good coach. He’s a better “leader of men” that Saleh and just as good - if not better - defensively. I know in Tennessee he known for being conservative and relying on a ground-and-pound offense.
  2. Nope… it was Del Reid and two other Bills fans. The three fans went after Adam Schefter on Twitter after he posted posted an old news story about Stevie Johnson’s famous drop versus Pittsburgh. These three and other Bills fans spammed Schefty in defense of Stevie using the hashtag #BillsMafia. It caught on Twitter with fans and players referring to the fan base by that name. Reid copyrighted the name and monetized through his T-shirt business 26 Shirts. I believe he transferred ownership to the Bills org a few years ago.
  3. Trubisky is a really bad QB. Assuming Maye plays, I think it’s NE 24 Buffalo 9
  4. What put those Chiefs over the top was a defense that allowed just 20 points in 2 playoff games. In 2023 their defense gave up 7 and 10 points in the 2 games other than Buffalo’s 24. Bills are going to need the defense to step up quite a bit.
  5. How is he not a super fan? He’s the dude who coined the term “Bills Mafia” out of fandom.
  6. What is the deal with Tua? I have read that he injured his hip vs. Houston and it worsened against SF. But last week, I kept reading he felt he was good enough to start and was pushing the training staff to play. Yet in Week 18 with playoffs on the line, he is sitting. is it fair to say the injury may be more significant than what was reported? If Zappe started versus Cincinnati or Miami, there’s a chance one of those teams would be knocked out of the playoffs. DTR is a horrible QB
  7. I’m fine with White taking more snaps on Sunday. Between his stint in Pittsburgh and his play on the preseason, I’m not really encouraged by what I’ve seen of Trubisky. If he plays the majority of the game, I think there’s a decent chance that the offense doesn’t find the endzone. Of course it won’t matter, but it would be fun to watch White take some shots downfield. Mitch is just going to scramble and check the ball down every play.
  8. A lot of people are thinking Gore and it makes sense to present the health of the 3 very good RB’s. If they don’t active Mike White, I can see that happening. i don’t think Hardy gets activated because they have no plans to play him in the preseason. I think it makes more sense to active Cine, Clapp, or Gourage
  9. So many are overreacting with this designation. He’s going to back for the playoffs and if you watched the video McDermott stopped himself from saying he’d be available to play Sunday if they needed him. He’s good folx
  10. Brown did a great job on McDonald and that bum Michael Clemons.
  11. Thank you! Yes they are out of elevations as is Jalen Virgil. Sal said that if a player is re-signed to the PS it does not reset their elevations. It will be interesting to see who is elevated, because you’d think they want to rest a few WR‘S but not sure they want to waste an elevation on KJ Hamler
  12. This question is tough because there are only 2 practice squad call ups and one might be Mike White. So that leaves maybe 1 spot and it’s going to go to the player they want to get a look from - I think it might be Lewis Cine or one of Shavers/Hamler/Virgil. I’m almost thinking if they go WR it’s going to be Shavers but we’ll see. So if a WR isn’t called up that leaves the team with just 1 skill position that doesn’t have a TD - Reggie Gilliam. So I do think there’s a chance we see a OL touchdown or maybe some Daboll kind of trick play where Trubisky goes out and catches a TD. I remember Buffalo having a chance for the record in 2020 after the win in Denver. IIRC they tried targeting Lee Smith in the endzone to set the record but came away unsuccessful. I think you’re right. He would be a great candidate to play in this game if he was available for a call up
  13. The defense never had multiple All-Pros the same season and more times than not, they never played together due to injury. It’s been Tre (2019), Poyer (2021), Milano (2022). Also Johnson was a second team All Pro in 2023. If you are counting past All-Pros on defense, there’s 3 on the defense this season, maybe a 4th depending on Benford.
  14. Players don’t care about draft position. Why should they when many won’t even be rostered next year? But coaches definitely are aware of draft position especially when it comes to the #1 overall pick. I guarantee you it’s something that has been discussed internally. Best example has to be Lovie Smith in Houston. It sounded like he coached for the W as an FU to the front office because he knew he was a goner.
  15. That’s not what I meant. In 2019, McDermott chose to sit the majority of the Bills starters in Week 17 against NYG. The next week some felt they played a little rusty against Houston. Josh in particular had a patented “sugar high Josh” game and multiple receivers played poorly as well. IMO McDermott was trying to find a balance between rest vs. rust which is why he played the entire half. Three full seasons later we know that this isn’t the case. You can rest Josh and he’ll be fine for the playoffs. That’s what will happen Sunday. McDermott said his appearance will be “quick.” There’s no way he plays an entire quarter much less an entire half.
  16. If you watch the video you’ll see why Dorian isn’t getting snaps. Some many people here scream about the “soft zone defense” and why opposing WR’s are “constantly wide open.” If you watch the film, part of the reason is because Dorian Williams is in the wrong spot leading to easy catches.
  17. Take a look at the points they’ve given up over the past few weeks. 31, 48, 17, 34. They are really struggling with keeping teams off the score board
  18. I don’t know about that. There’s 4 teams that will be drafting high that we know have no plan in place for a QB - TEN, NYG, LVR, NO. Maybe even CLE and NYJ. So if NE is #1 and you have teams like CLE, TEN and NYG underneath that pick becomes in demand. I just think of a team like NYG. If Daboll and Schoen are both back, this QB will decide their future. I can totally see them making a move for #1 - which made the win Sunday even more pointless.
  19. Look at what NE did in the draft and the offseason. Draft capital is great but you have to hit on those picks. Right now it looks like they hit on the most important pick - maybe out of luck - but they have a long way to show they can put a competent team and coaching staff around Maye to succeed. No worth sweating about it. As far as the game on Sunday I don’t care either way as long as they leave NE healthy. I’ll go with a Bills to set a franchise record for wins with 14
  20. I wasn’t debating that. No doubt they’ve been affected by horrible injury luck. I’m just saying that Lions fans might be in the same boat as us. They have an excellent offense and a defense that has trouble stopping offenses unless they get turnovers.
  21. I totally forgot about the actual Ravens-Bengals game outside of the Dalton TD. CIN was up by 2 scores but Baltimore stormed back to take the lead. Also I recall Buffalo being in control in Miami but good old David Fales stormed back and had a chance to win the game on the final drive. The final drive for CIN was pretty much a cluster. Dalton threw and INT which got called back and the big play to Boyd was a 4th and long. The final TD was so awesome that we forget all of the context around the game. So the win may have been a little flukey but so were a lot of NE/KC games and no one is taking away their championships!
  22. I wasn’t as impressed…they still gave up 34 points and nearly 500 yards of offense. The difference in the game were a pair of bad INT’s from Brock Purdy and no turnovers from Detroit
  23. We all hope this is right. We’ll really need the defense to step up in the playoffs
  24. Lions offense is amazing but their defense is really really bad. Lions fans have to have the same concerns about defense that we have with Buffalo - only worse
  25. Looking bad it was only a playoff appearance but man, it felt like they won the Super Bowl. It shows both how bad things were and how much better they’ve become. I don’t think we’re done yet!
