I don’t get the impression that Chiefs fans are shaking in their boots to face Cincinnati in the playoffs. Bills fans shouldn’t be either. Maybe not this season though

Pinto Ron has to be the most famous Bills “super fan” right? I know there’s others like Bills Elvis, the Cooks, Brother Bill and Del Reid, but I think Ron has to be #1. Also, that Pinto Ron tailgate crew is such an oddity. You have Pinto who drives a beater, cooks on the engine, drinks bowling ball shots and of course the ketchup/mustard ceremony. Then there is Pizza Pete who cooks pizza out of an old filing cabinet. Where did these guys come from? Seriously though, odd or not, 500 games is quite the accomplishment.

On one hand it’s tough to beat any team 3x in a season. On another Miami are pretty banged up on offense at QB and both WR’s and still have a subpar OL. I’m not scared of Cincinnati. It probably would be a shootout type of game but there’s a reason that team has lost 8 games this season. Denver’s defense is pretty good and you know that Sean Payton is going to do everything to punish the Bills defense in the run game like other good OC’s before him. Nix is a bit of a wildcard. It seems that Payton is trying to calling easy button plays to minimize potential mistakes, but then he’ll make those money long TD throws downfield. Not sure what to make of him yet, as I do feel a part of his success is due to Payton, but he has some really nice looking plays this season

Bengals, Dolphins, Broncos -Who do you want to see as the 7th seed?
JohnNord replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
If you watched DTR you would know why. He is atrocious. Everyone is reporting that they are resting their starters though nothing official from the team. -
No doubt that Tyrod was a great guy who worked hard in Buffalo. So I definitely appreciate Bills fans giving him a nice ovation. But I feel that the whole drought-ender talk from Bills fans is a little exaggerated. Yes he was the QB on the 2017 and he was very efficient and smart with the football. But that team was all about running the football with Shady and playing good defense.

They have so many needs it’s probably the smart play. The problem with draft picks is that you need to hit on them. Aside from Drake Maye, the new administration had a pretty bad draft.
-
At first thought, I didn’t think it’s as big of a deal since NE already has Mays. This will still ensure the Giants get the first pick at QB. But given all the holes on the NE roster and the fact that they already have their QB in place, I wouldn’t be shocked to see them trade out for bounty of higher draft picks. If I’m Mara and can’t select the QB I want, I’d be pissed at Daboll

The Bills don’t want of these 3 players. Poyer was released from his contract because of his age/performance. They wanted to get younger and cheaper. Dodson has improved quite a bit over the past few seasons. But he was easily fooled in pass coverage. Siran Neal is NOT a good defensive back. If you have Neal playing significant snaps, it’s not an ideal situation. He’s a special teams player

Chuck Smith, DL Coach of the Ravens
JohnNord replied to Snappysnackcakes's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is a silly post. That’s like Miami saying “we need to lure away Aaron Kromer from Buffalo.” Positional coaches can’t make lateral moves unless their team approves it. Most times they block lateral moves. That means to get Smith to Buffalo you’d have to make him defensive coordinator. Sounds like a terrible idea -

The common denominator in 2/3 games is Josh Allen playing recklessly and turning the football over. Also, the Bills held the Colts under their season total in points that game and made on the final series to win the game. Sounds like the bias is strong with this one

Raheem Blacksheer to start at RB for Panthers
JohnNord replied to Desert Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
So many Bills fans were crying that they released Blacksheer because he scored a one yard TD with Carolina. -
I think as it stands Cincinnati has something like a 11% chance to make the playoffs. Their win boosted them an extra 5% You play whoever is on the schedule. If you’re Buffalo you can’t be like the fan base worry about potential opponents. Also you have to be careful what you wish for because nothing is a sure thing in the playoffs. There’s countless examples of this. Just gotta let the chips fall where they may

Remember that time McDermott went 9/31 passing against the overrated Houston Texans defense?

Bills vs. Cardinals from the 1990 season. I was pretty young and this was the first game I ever attended live. My aunt and uncle surprised me with game tickets that week. According to the broadcast it was 40 degrees but it was very windy and we were sitting high in the 300’s. We were absolutely freezing. Maybe it was because it was November and we weren’t dressed for the elements? I remember it snowing a bit too though it doesn’t look like much accumulated on the field. By halftime my feet were frozen and I was finding any excuse to get out of the wind into the corridor to warm up. It didn’t work very well! Anyway the Bills were rolling then. Not much else to remember about this game other than a big Bills win and a backward punt from Rich Camarillo. My aunt and uncle aren’t around anymore but this was a great memory to me.

Seahawks-Bears anyone? (Live Game Thread)

We’ll see what happens next season. I haven’t watched him as much as you but from what I’ve seen I’m not very impressed. -

🤣 “Out performing Josh Allen’s rookie season?” You know who else outperformed Josh Allen’s first two seasons statically? Players like Zach Wilson and Will Levis. How do I know? Because teams with bad QB’s always bring this up when clinging for hope. In reality it means nothing. Lots of QB’s outpace his production and few end up anywhere near as good as Allen. Of course, there’s a huge difference between the type of prospect Caleb Williams is and what Josh was. Williams was the #1 HS recruit in the country, played at two major college programs, won the Heisman and was the #1 overall pick. He’s played a LOT of football at a high level. Josh’s past is nothing Iike this. It’s been well documented here. Like I said, Williams has physically ability and flashes at times, but he looks horrendous at QB and is making huge errors. It’s not impossible to fix him but it’s not going to be easy. But man he looks like JP Losman at QB. Maybe worse 🤮🤮🤮🤮 -
Will the Jets and the Patriots be tanking the last two games?

He’s had so many chances this season to show something and he’s failed almost every time. -

I don’t think they’ll tank but I can’t see them playing motivated. The one guy who’ll want a win is Jeff Ulbrich who is basically a joke of a HC at this time. I’m sure he’d love to put a win va Buffalo on his resume while he’s searching for jobs -

According to the NE media Mayo is trying to finish the year strong. While he’s likely safe, he wants to show the Krafts that he’s the right guy to lead because it’s probably been the biggest talking point about the team in the media. The Jets? I don’t think they’ll be tanking but it’s tough to see them get fired up about this game. I’m sure they’ll say the same BS that the Bills coaches/players did during the drought. They’ll want to put good performances on tape, play for each other, play for pride etc. The thing about the Jets if they’ve had so many opportunities to play for SOMETHING and they failed at every one. It will be hard to see them get up for a game that means next to nothing. -
Seahawks-Bears anyone? (Live Game Thread)
JohnNord replied to Sierra Foothills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Sure that’s part of the problem but at the same time, it’s not like his coach as OC were highly effective. They were horrendous. So is it that big of a loss? The fact that Williams hasn’t shown much progress and instead has regressed should be a big concern. I do think he’s better than what he’s put on tape but it’s going to take a lot of time, effort, and strategy to coach him up. Who knows what he wants. Someone put out to the media that he was “intrigued” by the opportunity but who really knows what he wants? -

A lot of players get paid. They still care about their legacy and winning. I woudn’t judge Edmund’s tonight too harshly. He knows his team sucks and is out of the playoffs. -

Everything about that drive was a mess between the running of the play clock, the waste of time outs, the play calls, and of course the QB play. Why wouldn’t you just try the 57 yard FG? Considering how the game played out, it’s probably a safer bet than converting 4th and 10
