  1. There’s a bit of revisionist history with Teller. When traded him, he couldn’t come close to beating out Quentin Spain.
  2. My guess is that he’s assuming EJ wouldn’t have the unreasonable expectations of being a 1st round franchise QB on him. As a mid-round pick there might have been a chance that he could have been slowly groomed into a backup position, as opposed to a starter. I know that EJ’s confidence was completely shot in Buffalo because he was being cast for a position he never should have been in. But I think it was far from the only reason that he failed in the NFL
  3. My take is that this is a lot of revisionist history on Whaley’s part designed to paint him in a positive light. I do believe that Nix was hell bent on finding a QB but I have a hard time thinking that Whaley was not on board with the move. First there’s that video of him taking credit for the selection. Then the next season Whaley doubled down on EJ by drafting Sammy. Finally when it was pretty clear EJ was a bust Whaley, who was still GM at the time, never distended himself from the EJ section. These don’t look like the moves of someone who wasn’t on board with EJ as QB.
  4. He chose a jersey number to match his goal for receptions this season. I’ll take the under
  5. Edmunds….I’ll eat my sandal if Edmunds is DPOY
  6. If Im Ertz, then I’m not really too excited to go to Indy and play with the QB whose regression largely cost me a contract extension.
  7. cool idea but draft grades in April are so meaningless
  8. I’d rather sign Antwan Smith to play RB
  9. I think the fans that are calling Brown to start at RT are jumping the gun quite a bit. It sounds like he was a long term projection coming out of college, so he’ll need to have a helluva preseason to unseat Williams. If we’re taking 2022, then I definitely think starting is a possibility then. But like most picks this year, I don’t think he’ll be an immediate contributor in 2021
  10. I stopped reading once this character tried using the transitive property to prove his logic. The fact that one team lost by fewer points to the same thing, hardly means they are the better team. Faulty logic
  11. This could explain why struggled to get off the line versus physical CB’s against Baltimore and KC. Man the entire WR room was banged up outside of McKenzie
  12. 1988 was a great year. One of my earliest memories as a fan was watching the Bills host the Oilers. There was definitely a buzz around the team in the Buffalo area then. Such a fun time
  13. If I’m Brandon Beane, I probably pick up the 5th year option. But like I said in my original post, the excuses need to stop. He’s been very inconsistent and regressed this season. In year 4 he needs to pick it up or else the team will be looking for a new MLB in 2023
  14. Bills fans were up in arms over the signing yesterday based on some terrible looking film. But if he’s as bad as some believe, there’s a chance he might not even make the final roster. I’m going to wait and see how he transitions
  15. They are more unhappy with the selection of BCBS as a sponsor because insurance is so freaking expensive. Only in 2021, is an insurance company a controversial choice (among fans) to name a stadium after.
  16. Exactly....I’ll never understand the love Bills fans have for Sammy. He half-asses his way through his disappointing tenure in Buffalo and hasn’t lived up to his hype after. He’s an ok WR to have on your team if you have two or three other options available on offense. I don’t think he’ll make much of a difference for their offense. Ravens fans are acting like they signed a WR1. They’ll soon find out the type of player he is The reason he left Baltimore is because he became invisible once Lamar took over That’s because he was a “generational talent.”
  17. Funny how you could said the same thing about the Bills and Josh Allen in 2019, before the start of the 2020 season. Many people did! How did that work out?
  18. Point is, it didn’t lead to him signing “I rarely miss?” His career says otherwise
  19. I will be shocked if Sammy sign a deal. Remember last year there were rumors that Marcel was back in Buffalo? Didn’t exactly end with a signing. Also Beane and McDermott rarely give players a second chance after they cut them - especially those whose departures were on somewhat bad terms - ie Dareus and Richie Incognito. While there are a few exceptions (EJ Gaines), it almost never happens. Finally with the Bills top 4 WR’s set, it doesn’t make any sense to sign a WR5 who doesn’t play special teams when you have players like Kukerow and Hodgins and still could use a KR and WR.
  20. He was always solid and usually helped the team start with good field positions. I was always surprised he never really broke one for a TD in Buffalo
