  1. Eh I think he could’ve phrased things better but I think the point was that everyone’s play was inconsistent and he started with himself. He probably was a little shell shocked by getting that kind of ass whipping so badly
  2. It was almost as though the roles were reversed for Kansas City in the Super Bowl vs AFCCG. Nothing seemed to go right. The line was blown up and couldn’t protect versus the front 4. QB had no time to throw and had to force passes. Dumb penalties and mistakes were made. The defense dropped 7 or 8 in coverage knowing that the offense wasn’t interested in running. When the offense moved the ball, they were held to FG’s Its remarkable that the high powered Kansas City offense essentially got beat with the same gameplan they used against Buffalo. And part of the reason why things opened up for Tampa on offense is because they involved the running backs on screens, short passes and running plays versus a loaded secondary - which the Chiefs and Bills were unwilling to do.
  3. Agree and I think that’s an aspect to the game that the entire offense will need to work on. The running backs and tight ends caught very few footballs this season. And in a game when KC was putting 7 or 8 in coverage that could’ve been big. Part of it is that Josh needs to check the ball down and part of it is that he needs running backs or tight ends that can actually make plays with the ball. This is the “speed” that Beane and McDermott talking about that was lacking
  4. The reaction the this years Super Bowl is interesting. It seems that some are trying to diminish a pretty dominating performance by Tampa Bay on both sides of the ball while trying to make excuses for Kansas City and Pat Mahomes. Yes, Mahomes was under pressure all day and some of the throws he made while evading were incredible. No doubt. But he completed 50% of his passes, threw for 2 INT and scored a measly 9 points. It was not a great game for him. But where was the talk of the foot injury when he played Buffalo? Many said that he was back to himself and that the foot wasn’t bothering him. But when he struggled Also, the offensive line has been short handed all season long. The loss of Fisher last week hurt them, but how many in the media raved about how KC took unheralded lineman and got them to play at a high level against Cleveland and Buffalo. This week, more excuses. Finally Andy Reid went from being a bold and brilliant play caller three weeks ago, to a buffoon for not running the football - which he hasn’t done much all year....largely because of his passing offense. And then there’s the timeouts at the end of the half! Ive never seen so many excuses for a team that lost by 3 TD’s.
  5. Here’s a very pertinent article to what’s been discussed. I’d didn’t see it posted, my apologizes if it had been. The writer heavily goes after the lack of response from KC https://sports.yahoo.com/chiefs-owe-more-than-thoughts-and-prayers-to-family-of-5-yearold-fighting-for-life-after-crash-with-britt-reid-184443680.html Here’s what we know: - The 5 year old girl (Ariel), still in a coma. - GoFundMe campaign has raised close to $400,000 mostly in small donations. - Kansas City Chiefs, Andy Reid, or the Hunt family has not reached out to the family in any way. They have not donated any money to the GoFundMe, nor have the offered - unless anonymously. Even so, most donations were fairly small amounts. - Sounds like a DUI conclusion is all for forgone and everyone knows it, based on language in police report. -Britt Reid had surgery after the accident and is still employed as a coach on the team. Most interesting part is here: - Many wondered what Britt was doing as OLB coach to begin with. He went from prison to assistant coach in less than 5 years. He has been viewed as a nepotism hire. - The accident took place near the Chiefs facility. Due to COVID protocols it’s not likely he drank at a restaurant/bar/friends house. Britt lives 30 minutes away from the facility and was likely on his way home. The Chiefs probably know when he left the facility and what he was doing inside. All in all, this seems like a really bad situation for Britt and more heartache for the Reid family. I really am praying for Ariel
  6. Edmunds seems to be the player that is dividing the Bills fan base. Some feel that he just needs a better defensive line to keep the linebackers off of him. I’m very skeptical however. I don’t think he was deserving of a Pro Bowl at all this season. After 3 years, he just doesn’t seem to be anything more capable that an athletic JAG at MLB. Very few impact plays over his first 3 seasons. Hopefully I’m wrong - because we don’t really have a choice next season. He’ll be there, but I’m not very optimistic that he’ll suddenly become a different player. He’s not very good IMO
  7. True! But Shady is set for life. I know he was very much concerned about his legacy and how he’ll be remembered. He badly wanted to get his first victory against Jacksonville in 2017. These 2 Super Bowl rings kind of have an asterisk next to them and it can’t sit well with him. It would be like calling Bernie Kosar “a Super Bowl winning QB”
  8. I think the difference was Tampa’s defensive line and linebackers, but I do think that the running game and the screen game helped open things up for sure
  9. What I learned from last night’s game is that along with a better running game, it would help Josh and the offense to involve the running backs more in the passing game to beat the blitz. When KC was coming after Brady, he moved the ball with short passes to Fournette.
  10. We all remember Shady from his time in Buffalo and it has to be killing him inside to know that he has 2 rings but didn’t really contribute much to winning either of them. I’m sure he’ll take them. They won’t hurt his legacy, but his SB victories are very much an afterthought
  11. I watched it a few times and I feel the same way. It wasn’t the most obvious example of DPI but also not the most egregious. The problem for a lot of Chiefs fans is that those calls didn’t get penalized in the first 2 post season games. Not sure why. To be honest, I’d be pissed too if I were a Chiefs fan
  12. that’s what I’m hoping for too. The only problem is that the Bills don’t have a ton of cap space even with the best projection. So Beane is going to have to get rid of a few players and then be really smart with the limited funds the team. Either way, I have confidence as well
  13. Ok that’s what I would believe as well. I thought your last response made it sounds like they were ok with drinking since he wouldn’t OD like his brother did.
  14. I’m on the fence. He’s been decent at guard and I love the flexibility he provides. Plus everyone loves him. But he seemed to struggle at times against against good DT’s. Chris Jones pretty much had his way with Feliciano. It makes you wonder if Feliciano is going to be worth the $8M a season as some have projected him as.
  15. Many of the ADHD symptoms change as people get older. So things like hyperactivity and impulsiveness aren’t as bad of an issue with adults as they can be in children. His past, does make we wonder whether he truly needed or if he wanted it for recreational use. And if the Reids were cool with him drinking thinking “well at least he won’t overdose.” Then they are enablers and bear some of the responsibility for what happened. Of course, having an addict for a child probably puts you in a terrible position
  16. Remember when Bills fans called for his hiring after Josh melted down against Houston? 🤣🤣🤣
  17. This is my thought as well. On the surface it seems like a weightlifter getting prescribed steroids for “low testosterone” or an ex-athlete with a substance abuse problem getting Vicodin to for their back pain. Not a medical doctor so maybe I’m completely off-base here, but it seems odd to prescribe Aderall to someone who may have had issues with heroine in the past
  18. I get that - but there are so many other ways to treat ADHD, especially with adults. Considering his past I’m not sure why the doctor would prescribe something other than a recreational drug. It’s definitely kind of sketchy
  19. From what I know about addiction, if you’re a recovering drug addict, it isn’t recommended that you drink at all. Addicts with often replace their addiction to drugs with alcohol or prescription meds etc. Most aren’t able to casually drink a beer or two without it turning into something more. So we’re people close to him cool that he was drinking? Or did he hide it? Also if he had a prescription to Aderall as he said - why would his doctor prescribe a drug used for recreational purposes to someone with a past of substance abuse?
  20. Good point. I know in the past that when police raided their house the two sons had a crap ton of prescribed medication along with illegal drugs. I assumed that the reason he disclosed Aderall was because he had a script. If he doesn’t, he’s pretty stupid
  21. To be fair, Hill and Hunt were John Dorsey draft picks who was known for taking risks on players with bad backgrounds.
  22. The scary thing is, he’s been arrested and done jail time for drugs and if that wasn’t bad enough he lost his brother to addiction. Yet that’s still not enough to scare him straight. It seems like he has some real issues. Also, the fact that he mixed adderrall with alcohol is probably not coincidence. And what doctor prescribes an adult with substance abuse issue with a drug that can be used recreationally?
