  1. Yeah, unfortunately the consensus is the team needs to get younger and we need new talent, so far this has not happened yet. We needed to shed money to get cap friendly for 2024 & 2025. I am really hoping that we hit the draft with #1 WR, #2 S, and #3 or #4 WR. Then let the rest of the chips fall where they may. We have already been down this road and we lost last year because we could not push the ball down the field when it mattered in the entire game vs KC at home with our current WR corps. If that was not the most damning kryptonite to neutralize Josh then I don't know what else to say. We had no deep passing game at all, our longest pass was just 15 yards, KC had 32, 25, 29 yard completions. No speed at WR to get any separation and that has to be fixed this year. All to often in 2023 Buffalo came up short and did not make enough game changing plays down field, in a lot of games, when it mattered or when we need it to happen. We are one of the worst teams with YAC stats in the league. To take the next step we have to be able to do this on a consistent basis, which right now is the missing component on this offense at WR.
  2. It's going to go #1 WR and then #2 Safety. Or this might flip 180 deg. Depending who is available and if anyone is willing to take a bunch 5 or 6 round picks to move up in the first round. Which is unlikely but possible.
  3. I would not be surprised that Bills will package the 5 and 6 round picks to somehow get back into the 3rd round from some team. It could possibly even be SF or Philly with all the comp picks they received.
  4. It amazes me that teams will spend so much money on a QB and not get anything for the return on their investment. This is just a team with money to lose.....
  5. Best of wishes for him on his new team. But I was never expecting him back this year anyway. We will get someone better in the draft.
  6. Bills win not fork over any more money in the RB position this year for a big name RB in FA, especially on Henry. It's just not going to happen. The money needs to be spent on bigger needs "Holes" in this teams roster this year.
  7. I just don't see anything big from us on this page at all today, still some other issues that need to addressed salary wise with this team this week.
  8. Tyler Bass should not be eliminated from this discussion. He is not worth $4.5 Mil this year. Not after his choke job last year. 82.8 FG%. We could use a new kicker, or someone brought in during training camp to compete with him.. Every $ we free up will help this team this year.
  9. It's amazing how cut throat it gets when you are in the bottom of the league with positive cap space. And you had such a bad group of contract signings of just of a few players. Von Miller's contract is really coming to fruition on its detriment and negative effect on this team. I still think this VM contract was the worst FA signing in Bills history.
  10. There is not much more they can do, unless the converted or reduced his contract $ and then added a load of additional incentives for this year.
  11. It's all a pre FA posture move for Higgin's, we have to keep the money we have and hit on the WR position in the Draft. Save the money.
  12. He needs to be pushed as the featured #1 WR on this team. The only way that happens is if you draft a stud WR in the draft or even maybe a two WR's. Then you force him to fight to maintain that #1 WR designation. Competition in training camp is what it's all about and if he can't beat the new guy out in preseason, then so be it. We will have our new #1.
  13. I think they will do something with Josh's contract, but it won't be as drastic as everyone is looking for. I do think the Milano option trading him and getting more picks and shedding his contract could help. But he has a pretty high Dead Cap hit this year $29 mil. and his salary cap hit this year is about $12.4 mil. The mini rebuild that this team is in can work, but we need to at least get talent on both sides of the ball in the draft to plug obvious holes with rookie contracts. That is the yellow brick road back to a positive cap for 2025.
  14. No, and the draft this year has to be the best draft they have had in the last 7 years. They need to restock the pool with young talent, that can make a difference on the field. We have had very little of this type of talent from the draft in the past 7 years. We have had a good player here and there, but seldomly has it been a home run type of draft with multiple game changing players.
  15. It really doesn't matter, Wilson has baggage accompanying him wherever he goes. Steelers have been non existent on the offensive side of the ball since 2020. It make sense to spend just 1.2 million on a 1 year contract and see what happens. How many other teams were under .500 and have not been to a playoff game in 5 to 10 years passed on this opportunity. The Steelers are willing to push the chips into the middle of the table and see what happens. Good move since they are only committed to 1 yr and $1.2 mil on the books. Hell Wilson beat us at home with a good game and that unreal throw to the endzone. Give Pitt that type of opportunity on the "O side" of the ball and they are a completely different team.
  16. It's the process that McD never utilized. If you can't play up to a certain standard or can't play up to your contract requirements then you're gone. Bring in some new talent, all for it !!!
  17. Very shocking after listening to his Podcast this year, it was all about the money....
  18. It was only a matter of time. You know when it's time to move on and unfortunately Tre was one of the obvious cuts this upcoming season.
  19. House cleaning has begun. Beane's advice to McD today..........Its time to start drinking heavily.
  20. Sean and Russ did not get along at all. It never would have worked between these two. They were worse than oil and water.
  21. Sorry I will pass on that A$$. Thats too much!!!
  22. That our D will never be a true #5 or higher ranked unit because of the McD oversight and control on that side of the ball and its coaching & the Von Miller effect, which at this time is all bad. Our defense is horrendous in the postseason and all the stats prove this to be true especially against KC. Digg's will be a non factor and check out on this team in 2024. Beane is just treading water with personnel and we are the 3rd worst team in the league this year cap wise. A lot to be done with hardly any money available on the books, that will require cuts and major contract restructures. Team & Cap space (Estimated) 2024 Washington Commanders, $73.6 million Tennessee Titans, $67.8 million Chicago Bears, $67.0 million New England Patriots, $66.0 million Cincinnati Bengals, $59.4 million Indianapolis Colts, $58.9 million Houston Texans, $57.7 million Detroit Lions, $44.8 million Arizona Cardinals, $41.7 million Tampa Bay Buccaneers, $36.9 million Las Vegas Raiders, $35.3 million Carolina Panthers, $28.6 million Los Angeles Rams, $27.7 million Atlanta Falcons, $25.8 million Minnesota Vikings, $24.6 million Philadelphia Eagles, $19.9 million New York Giants, $19.5 million Kansas City Chiefs, $15.2 million Jacksonville Jaguars, $11.3 million Baltimore Ravens, $7.3 million New York Jets, $1.7 million Green Bay Packers, -$2.9 million Seattle Seahawks, -$5.3 million San Francisco 49ers, -$12.4 million Pittsburgh Steelers, -$13.9 million Cleveland Browns, -$19.6 million Dallas Cowboys, -$19.7 million Denver Broncos, -$24.1 million Los Angeles Chargers, -$35.5 million Buffalo Bills, -$51.3 million Miami Dolphins, -$51.9 million New Orleans Saints, -$83.7 million
  23. Lamar is a overpriced average QB that will never win a SB for the Ravens. He is a terrible in playoff games when it matters. Even worse than JA17. Josh at least leaves it all out on the field. I can't say that about Lamar. Lamar makes some bad throws too when he has no pressure on him. He does this constantly. Then he has a temper tantrum on the sidelines and hangs his head. Josh is starting to get better in this aspect of his game. Josh needs some work here too but Lamar is just terrible. Now we have to wait a entire 2024 season to see what happens in this coming playoff season. Lamar, in this article by Total Pro Sports, is given an A- and Josh gets a C+. It is amazing how biased the media is towards Lamar Jackson. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/final-grades-for-all-32-nfl-teams-starting-quarterbacks-for-the-2023-season-after-super-bowl-58/ss-BB1iotgR?ocid=hpmsn&cvid=0304d17bd6784987a1b6c1c9962e0bb2&ei=74#interstitial=2
