  1. It will be WR, Edge or DT at 28 ,60 & 127 If we don't package a bunch of 5th & 6th rounders to try and get into the 3rd round. If we do that I think they get a Center in the 3rd.
  2. Hamlin was just non-talented average player at best, period. I don't even see him staying on the team this year past training camp. He will be cut and signed to the practice squad. Beane will bring in other players prior to training camp at DB as backups, and still be a improvement over Hamlin.
  3. We don't need no stinking Soup!!!
  4. We still need a #2 WR but we could argue that Safety, DT, DE are more pressing issues since the signing of Samuel. The AFC is an on-slaught of talent in the passing game with all QB's and WR's. We all know who these guys are so no need to mention them now. RAPP as our S#1 position needs to prove his value, no stupid penalties or illegal hits head hunting this year. He has a huge responsibility on D playing back there for the entire season, since he is now starter # 1 of the 2 we need for 2024, and is signed on a new 3 year deal. Poyer was the hammer back there for us, and he was not afraid to lay the smack down on anyone that was around him. Hyde was the more coverage strategic oriented player of the two. I still think we need a #1 S on this team. The premium choices from the draft are Nubin, Bullard, Kinchens, Hicks ot Bullock. I can see a few of these guys still being there realistically at #28, but now I doubt that's who they will pick. When you look at this past years playoff loss to KC, and the play of our safeties in that game, we got torched by a very aged Kelce, Rice and Scantling. Watching this during this playoff game was tough to deal with. We showed how old and slow our safeties were in this game that's for sure. The current list of unsigned FA's available at safety are not limited, but they also all around the 28 to 33 age bracket, and there are only a few that would be worth signing based on their past performance IMO. It's risky to sign a starting rookie at S but why not. New DC this year and maybe a new attitude on D as well. Any one of these new draftees' would be a positive addition to this team at the S position. We will have to wait and see.
  5. He is going to have to do something to fills more holes again. We are barely over the CAP right now, these numbers are vague at best, again by about $ 350k. If the latest cap numbers are correct. There is work that still needs to be done. Somewhere he still needs to free up CAP space. I wish he would look at Bass and force him to take the Vet league min this year to free up close to $2.5 this year. Bass does not warrant a $4 mil salary this year. With pending positive CAP cash coming in after the June 1st player cuts kicking in, It's still really tight money wise right now.
  6. Still think they are going to go BPA at pick 28. I don't see them trading up. They will either get the best WR , DT or S that is still available on the board at that pick. If they do trade up they are going to have to leverage picks from next year. I don't think 4th, 5th, and 6th round picks are even bait to tempt a team to get into the teens this year to move up.
  7. This guy is just a random body that has done practically nothing to make him worthy of being kept by any team like Miami, Philly, Atlanta and the Raiders over the past 7 years. He did not even play a single game in 2018 for Philly. If this guy was such asset, at WR and or ST, and he can't earn a spot on any team for more than 2yrs, this might be the player for you If you do play Madden.... which I don't dude. This is real life and not a video game where you can just change players with a click of the button. Lol.....
  8. FYI I have nothing against Floyd. At least that guy still remembers you have to make tackles when you play on the D-Line. He always put forth an effort when he was on the field. Miller was already on the decline when he got to the Rams and he forgot what the word tackle meant. We had to sign Floyd because Miller was completely removed from the D Edge position for close to a season and an half. I don't care if the guy was hurt or not. We had to bring someone in to try and get pressure on the oppositions QB. Because Miller was no longer a option for the majority of the past two years. If you watched the last super bowl the Rams played, Von Miller was a non factor for 85% of that game. He only had 2 sacks in that game. Those were the only tackles he had in the entire game. 1 sack was a group of players getting to Burrow at the same time and he got credit for it. He took his typical plays off while on the field giving almost no effort at times, when he was on the field. That is exact the way he played after Buffalo signed him. I did not like the signing and a lot of people here on this forum hated it. We paid him 4 times the amount of money this guy was worth at his age. He was great while in Denver because he played team D back then. From 2021 he became just a guy that wanted sacks and made no effort to tackle the opposition no matter what was happening on the field. He was more of a liability than help last year and this year I don't see anything to change this assessment of what he brings to the table for us. I hope I am wrong......but don't bet on it.
  9. I never said it was a $3 mil base in any post, it can be up to this amount per ESPN and Yahoo sports. Still wasted money on a player that should not have been signed. They commit money in a contract signing versus drafting someone for the same purpose and if a rookie can't make the team there is no lost revenue. Instead of being stuck with someone that will be on the bench. Let me rephrase cast off players to just players no one would sign for the money that Buffalo paid them to come here and play, these money pit contracts have been a habit of this ownership and GM for 7 years. Oh wait a minute, I hear that name coming again!!! Von who????? Enough said.....
  10. This guy is not depth signing it was an overreaction signing to fill a position, he is washed up WR, He is a waste of $3 Mil that could have been spent on a kid coming out of the draft. While we are on this depth topic. We sign more casted off NFL players from other teams and always overpay for what we get in return. This is the Hallmark of Beane and McD's tenure for the last 7 years.
  11. I would rather have a player out of the draft who could come in on a rookie salary, be 23 or 24 years old, have size and be proven to catch balls out of college, and be a possible dual purpose player WR & ST, with a lot upside potential, then sign some 30yr old has-been making $3 Mil a year. Once again McD and Beane having a brain fart like they always do at this time of year.
  12. I would rather pay someone after free agency or after training camp. It sure would not cost us $3 Mil then for a special teams player / WR #5 or #6. Even a drafted 5th or 6th round guy would be cheaper than this.
  13. That is pretty funny !!! 🤣 That F-S value is the ranking given to each draft position, as assigned by this scale used here from a data survey from 2011 to 2015. https://overthecap.com/draft-trade-value-chart
  14. I just found this latest Cap # according to overthecap.com the Bills have close to $12 million for their 2024 estimated drafted rookie contracts. I did not know we had that amount determined for this year. So at least that number means we will be spending at least 5 to 6 million on rookie contracts. So much for having all those picks. A lot of them are going to be traded away to move up in the draft.
  15. Not buying into anything. The fact is this team has zero cash on hand to bring in any elite WR talent that has prior NFL vet experience. Hell Gabe left for $13 Mil per year to Jacksonville. You are not signing any top WR in FA without forking over at least $10 Mil a year for a WR with actual NFL experience and a top 30 talent if there is even one available which right now there isn't, and for under $10 mil per yr. It's not going to happen this year, this team needs to reposition itself as a gunslinger mentality. We have a competent serviceable D that we can subsidize with the addition of players added in the draft. WR & S needs to be the top needs at this time in the top 3 picks.
  16. We need to go #1 WR and #2 S, Rd #3 or #4 WR. Anything else is a wash. We need to shed the 5th and 6th round picks to get back into 3rd round. Until this teams Coach and GM learns that you need to make big plays with your WR corps, when you have to have them consistently, they will never get to a SB with the retread of WR's currently on this team. You don't put on worn out tires on a formula 1 race car and expect to outrun your competition to the finish line for the checkered flag. This is McD and Beane's philosophy and they don't get it. Sad but true for 7 plus years now.
  17. Yeah, unfortunately the consensus is the team needs to get younger and we need new talent, so far this has not happened yet. We needed to shed money to get cap friendly for 2024 & 2025. I am really hoping that we hit the draft with #1 WR, #2 S, and #3 or #4 WR. Then let the rest of the chips fall where they may. We have already been down this road and we lost last year because we could not push the ball down the field when it mattered in the entire game vs KC at home with our current WR corps. If that was not the most damning kryptonite to neutralize Josh then I don't know what else to say. We had no deep passing game at all, our longest pass was just 15 yards, KC had 32, 25, 29 yard completions. No speed at WR to get any separation and that has to be fixed this year. All to often in 2023 Buffalo came up short and did not make enough game changing plays down field, in a lot of games, when it mattered or when we need it to happen. We are one of the worst teams with YAC stats in the league. To take the next step we have to be able to do this on a consistent basis, which right now is the missing component on this offense at WR.
  18. It's going to go #1 WR and then #2 Safety. Or this might flip 180 deg. Depending who is available and if anyone is willing to take a bunch 5 or 6 round picks to move up in the first round. Which is unlikely but possible.
  19. I would not be surprised that Bills will package the 5 and 6 round picks to somehow get back into the 3rd round from some team. It could possibly even be SF or Philly with all the comp picks they received.
  20. It amazes me that teams will spend so much money on a QB and not get anything for the return on their investment. This is just a team with money to lose.....
  21. Best of wishes for him on his new team. But I was never expecting him back this year anyway. We will get someone better in the draft.
  22. Bills win not fork over any more money in the RB position this year for a big name RB in FA, especially on Henry. It's just not going to happen. The money needs to be spent on bigger needs "Holes" in this teams roster this year.
  23. I just don't see anything big from us on this page at all today, still some other issues that need to addressed salary wise with this team this week.
