  1. At least be the best in the 4th quarter. Decent to Great for 3 quarters and 32nd in the 4th can't and shouldn't be acceptable.
  2. Oh sorry, I wasn't talking about Von Miller, but expanding on an experience I had with a coworker who had a DV incident at work. I agree with you and that the situation is different with Von.
  3. You'd be right if it got to that point. The SRO didn't even make a report (I think), I don't think he was ever arrested.
  4. A few years ago a the husband of a coworker walked into the school we both worked at, and started screaming for her. When she came out into the hallway he immediately grabbed her and tried to force her to come with him. When she refused, he began to choke her out, in public. Two custodians (who happened to also be football coaches) and I forcibly removed him from the premises. He luckily didn’t fight back much, I think he realized that the odds weren’t with him. She refused to cooperate with the school resource officer who showed up soon after, even though it was blatantly public.
  5. GMs deal with this kind of stuff all the time. The Bills will be okay.
  6. What if we just replace the whole team with tight ends?
  7. Of course. I don't want to make it out to seem like I've already decided his guilt or innocence.
  8. This is wrong but my first thought is "Does he have a morality clause in his contract we can leverage?" EDIT: Just in case this needs to be said. Abusing anyone is wrong, but especially a loved one. It's horrific behavior that creates generational trauma. I'm not saying Miller is guilty, just that the act of domestic abuse is disgusting.
  9. We would have lost 1-2 games if that was the case. We would be at the top of the AFC if McD didn’t fail so spectacularly at the end of games.
  10. We needed McDermott to call a competent 4th quarter and we win. 32nd in the league during the 4th quarter over the last 8 games from our defensive head coach. Instead of blaming the side of the ball who got the lead with 1:45 left on the clock let’s call a spade a spade here. If the offense needs to be so much better then the defense is in the dumpster.
  11. "scoring rushing TDs at an unmatched rate" is what I said that you conveniently ignored. He's scored more touchdowns than anyone. You'd have a point if that wasn't the case. The pick was costly, then we marched down the field and took the lead again. Know what was more costly? The defense failing to get two stops in a row to end the game.
  12. It turns out that when you leave guys open the opposing quarterback is more likely to get completions. It's a mind blowing concept, I know, hopefully McDermott can wise up to this bold new NFL strategy of throwing the ball to guys who are wide open.
  13. You can if you're throwing 40+ times a game, and scoring rushing TDs at an unmatched rate and are a top rusher for your team. The average NFL game ends around 20-17. The average number of points scored by both teams is 46. If you're scoring 30 points you should win the game. This was a failure on the defense and the head coach primarily. It's a false equivalence to say the offense has equal blame.
  14. If they do go 5-0, it's because Allen is getting red hot with Brady at OC and they're blowing the doors off of teams. McDermott has shown without a doubt that he can't close out a game with his defense, you can argue whether or not it's personnel, scheme, or decision making but the numbers are out there. He's probably the worst 4th quarter defensive playcaller in the league right now.
  15. I try my best not to. Unfortunately a big part of my job is putting out (metaphorical) fires all day.
  16. My output goes down significantly in the last 25% of my workday too, so I can empathize. I don't have millions of folks watching me live though.
  17. With the reports about Lawson and Phillips going ballistic towards an Eagles' fan (initially reported he was making death threats, but new footage shows that likely was not the case), I feel like this is just more fuel to the fire that McDermott doesn't have this team focused and prepared for the adversity of playing these big games. The team is sloppy (not excusing the awful refereeing though) and that's falling on the HC.
  18. The perfect game against NE was the peak, but the credit really goes to Daboll.
  19. I’d be fine with either, but I think Coleman has a skillset that will directly complement Allen, he has real WR1 upside.
  20. It's possible but I can't see the Bills investing that much into WR while McDermott is still the head coach. Not enough left for McD's defense to get walked all over whenever it matters.
  21. Tee Higgins is going to be offered silly money, even after being banged up all season.
  22. Give me Keon Coleman, he's the guy who I realistically would want given the draft position. All of them are excellent choices though.
  23. About .001 seconds after the Big Bang.
  24. Ideally both but that seems unlikely. I have no idea what AJE's market is going to look like. He's a good player but he's probably at the high end of those 3rd tier DEs. Floyd will probably command a biggish contract on a short deal.
