  1. How many points did the run game account for? How many times did the run game fail to convert on 4th down?
  2. The circular logic here is just remarkable. Please tell us, why weren't they trying to pass?
  3. Are you just being willfully ignorant now? I'm saying that playing with 5 DBs absolutely stopped them to get back into the game. It severely limited the big plays of the Packers. It didn't completely stop it, because they still have a HOF MVP caliber QB, but it limited it to the point where the Bills won by 10 points and had a lead the entire game. Show me where the run game was more dangerous than Rodgers.
  4. You've picked such a weird hill to die on. Rodgers scored on big plays to WRs. Scoring fast is literally the only way they could get back in the game. How do you score fast? You make big plays to WRs, like the TD passes to Doubs. How do you make it less likely for the WR to make a big play? You play with 5 DBs on the field. What happens when you take away the ability to make a downfield big play? You check into the run because there's a light box. It looks like "gashing" but really it's just wasting away precious clock, because you're down 17 points. Conceptually this isn't hard to understand. I have no idea how you're still railing against very obvious football logic.
  5. The Jets might have arguably the worst starting QB in football right now. He's horrifically bad.
  6. So, according to you, the Bills should have taken pressure off of their weak WR core by taking a DB off the field and selling out on the run, even though the Bills had a huge lead that could only be realistically countered by scoring fast and throwing the football?
  7. What are you talking about? The Bills didn't sell out on the run at all, because relying on the run down 17 is a bad strategy that would ultimately lose them the game, 100/100 times. They basically sat back and said, "You want to beat us by running? Good luck." and let Aaron Jones have a nice day that was meaningless. They dared the RBs to beat them, and they failed HARD. They exposed a weakness. They made the Packers, with a HOF MVP QB irrelevant in the passing game. That's a success of strategy.
  8. But you aren't making a point at all. You're making up a scenario where maybe you're right, but that's not really grounded in anything.
  9. Why are you living in a world of hypotheticals? "Play against KC like that!" I'll gladly let KC rush the ball instead of having Mahomes throw.
  10. He can do it all.
  11. By god, is that Christian Wade's intro music!?
  12. I think he actively dislikes the city, he's begrudgingly says nice things about Allen because he has to now. His PFF company was so wrong on Allen that it's embarrassing for him.
  13. I feel like the announcing has warped a whole lot of fans perception of this game. The Packers decision to commit to a running game down 17 points is laughable, but Collinsworth was praising it like it was a stroke of genius. I seriously wonder how the "but mah run defense" narrative would be shaking out if the announcers were being honest about Green Bay's losing strategy. Maybe this is an aside, but Collinsworth was so terribly bias last night it made me wanna puke.
  14. The OPI was blatant. You can swim move off of a DB, you can't shove him to the ground. The Missed FG would still have required recovering an onside kick, and then driving down the field and scoring with no TOs with something like 45 seconds on the clock. If you were biting your nails you might have anxiety issues.
  15. When you're doing "what worked" and that was running the ball for 8 minutes down by 17 to have a turnover on downs then guess what? It wasn't working.
  16. I'm not sure what Wilson has been doing qualifies as passing the ball though.
  17. I heard some of the players sometimes trade snacks at lunch.
  18. I can't think of a single team that was "a safety away" from being super bowl caliber. As electric as Poyer/Hyde have been, it's not important enough of a position to rate.
  19. Guess the season is over. Pack it up boys.
  20. 2nd half didn't pass the eye test but it doesn't really matter. QBs have off games.
  21. I don't know why they would trade him within the AFC if they were gonna move him.
  22. Or with more valuable playing experience our young safeties will improve. Or we'll trade for one. I don't know. We've already played and beaten the best the AFC has to offer pretty much.
  23. It never, ever works when you're already down 17 points.
  24. Great effort but the ball tip pretty clearly hits the turf before Milano gains control.
  25. If you think the Bills' run defense was a problem last night, then you've been drinking too much of the Collinsworth Kool Aid. That was not a winning formula for the Packers and they proved it. You want to take 7-8 minutes to run down the field and then not convert on a 4th, or end up kicking a FG? Go right ahead. It was a joke of a strategy and should be treated as such.
