I like him for very cheap, like cheaper than Sanders cheap.

Per Shefty - Bills “expected to lose” Poyer and Edmunds
Bruffalo replied to BeastMode54's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'd love to keep Edmunds around but not for the price he's going to command on the open market. If you could get him on the Milano deal + inflation it's a no brainer, for 17-20 mil a year, no thanks, best of luck to him though. Poyer is whatever. He's been great, and he's excellent when healthy, but that healthy designation is getting less and less likely as his career goes on. -
McDermott wants a ‘nastier edge’ to his Defense post Frazier

Nobody ever says they want a softer defense. -
Allegations of bank fraud by Dan Snyder with Roger Goodell complicit
Bruffalo replied to BarleyNY's topic in The Stadium Wall
Obscenely rich people doing whatever they want? Even if it's fraudulent? Say it ain't so. Every billionaire has done tons plenty of immoral and unscrupulous things to get there. It's unfortunate that we reward this behavior. Screw Goodell though, hope he burns down with the Snyder ship. -
Leslie Frazier "taking a year off from coaching" per Bills PR
Bruffalo replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm not happy with Dorsey either but there's a pretty big difference in an OC that's going into year 2 of his career as a coordinator vs Frazier who has been a DC/HC for over 15 years. What you see with Frazier is what you're going to get. He's not going to start shaking it all up in his 60s. Dorsey can still pivot and improve this early into his career. -

Frazier is taking a 1 year hiatus from coaching. He plans to return to coaching next year, that doesn't mean he will return to be the DC of the Bills. -

Just trying to be realistic. It's pretty late in the process to hire from the outside. -

You're absolutely right, but like they say "The definition of madness is trying the same thing over and over and expecting different results". I don't think Frazier was horrible, but a change is needed. He never performed well in the post-season. Our post-season success is Allen going superman on teams, and herculean efforts by individual players (Taron Johnson's 98 yard pick six). Frazier turtled in the big moments. I feel like we need somebody a bit more bold. -

If he can stop them in situational football like 13 seconds then it'll be an upgrade. -

I'll take a slide down in the regular season if it means better post-season performance with better situational playcalling when it matters. -

Have to hire within probably at this point. I just want somebody who can be a bit more aggressive and mix it up more. The scheme is okay, situational playcalling is what felt really questionable to me.- 108 replies

Yeah, I heard Beane only drafts guys to stand back 10-12 yards when the other team needs 5. The DC wasn't putting his players in positions to be effective during critical downs. You can argue that the players are subpar, but they were basically put in situations that were doomed from the get go. -

This late in the game I got to think that they're hiring someone internally to replace him. If they can be more aggressive in key moments then the scheme should be fine. Fraizer was too passive and it showed against good teams. Let's get someone hungry in there to prove themselves. -
Lamar Jackson wants guarantees that exceed Watson contract
Bruffalo replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Browns definitely screwed up the market (and hopefully themselves) by signing that serial abuser. I don't think you can possibly make that deal for Lamar though given the way he plays and the injury potential. It's a tough pill to swallow, but I think you have to let him walk. -
The standing area section sounds promising to me. I like the idea of getting some wings, a beer, and watching the game from that vantage.

Well I think it looks neat. I hope the food options are better.

I'm not happy with Dorsey but I can understand why he did what he did. Nobody, and I mean nobody, took a step forward this season on offense. Crowder went down early, McKenzie blew his opportunity. Gabe Davis didn't show enough to be the #2 the org wanted him to be. Diggs was fantastic, but he can only do so much when the defense is just focused on shutting him down. The O-Line was horrifying, I don't think I've seen worse guard play this season. The RBs were getting touched at the handoff. Spencer Brown gets beat easily for being a big athletic guy. It was just rough. Allen hides so many of the warts, he's one of the top 3 most dynamic players in the league. We need to invest in him and around him, because without Allen this team would be dead in the water.

I would have loved to be the Chargers during the drought years. Allen is better than Rivers was by a mile. The problem is our coaching staff is living 20 years in the past and trying to win on the back of a bloated defense instead of investing in the guy who is actually making them look good.
-
Sure, and what you're saying makes it worse. They had multiple years to see the talent in this guy and they even had him on the field where he produced with limited reps, and they still got rid of him. the McD coaching staff is awful at making depth chart changes. Maybe comically bad. The poor use of our rookies isn't because we just draft bad. It's because we don't give them the chance to develop in real game scenarios.

Eh. Okay. Maybe if Hodgins didn't just go to another team and have a handful of good to decent games I'd agree.
