  1. Bryan Cox has an estimated net worth of 5m. That's 75 million less than Fitzpatrick, not including any advertising money he made during his career. 5 million is a lot of money, but it's not generational FU money.
  2. Want to point out one that made 80 million dollars?
  3. There's definitely not enough data to think that it's a sure thing the Texans continue trending up.
  4. He's living his best life right now, in what world would he possibly want to give that up and grind day in and day out. There's a reason why you don't see successful players go into coaching.
  5. I think it's insane but there's been a medium size contingent of people on this board who would disagree with you. Somebody last night compared Allen to Jay Cutler and they were serious.
  6. Remember when Schopp and the Bulldog had McDermott on the air once a week during Allen's rookie year, and Schopp straight up asked him why Peterman was still on the team? McD got all pissy and then Schopp was off the air for like 20 minutes. McD never went on the afternoon show again, as far as I know.
  7. Impossible to know without being in the room. Better to make a change though than stick with one of the most predictable offenses in the NFL.
  8. I heard that as well, I wonder how people like that put their pants on in the morning, much less operate a phone. He also mentioned that they should have fired the special teams coordinator because they have a cancer in the locker room. I wasn't aware Diggs was so involved in special teams.
  9. As someone who worked in public education for a decade, I can assure you that's not the case for everyone. That being said, I agree with what you're saying in a macro sense.
  10. It's too early to call it a failure since Knox got injured and Kincaid was getting up to speed as a rookie, and by the time he did Knox hasn't been able to take the field. I think somebody a bit more creative would love to use the 12 personnel set that the Bills have. There's a lot of talent there. Dorsey just couldn't do it and there seems to be universal consensus in the football community that he was a big part of the problem.
  11. I'm probably the only one on this board who thinks the Knox contract isn't bad at all. He's an excellent red zone threat, a great blocker, and right in the middle of the pack in passing catching TEs. Dorsey sucked and I'm somewhat convinced that Knox's regression is partially due to that.
  12. I mean, look at it this way: For years Sal covered the team and they were trash. Nobody cared about them, no national spotlight, not a whole lot of scrutiny either. Then McDermott comes in and turns around the org. They make the playoffs, then they hit big on Allen. All of the sudden you're getting national media spots, you're getting invited to jump on podcasts, Pat McAfee, etc... People are tuning in, and you're getting more popular as a result. Your opinion is getting more and more traction. It's fun and it's exciting. Of course he buys all of it. It's undoubtably made his life better and more interesting. And I want to say that even though my profile picture is megamind Sal, I don't think he's the best at what he does.
  13. He's clearly a homer, but I think he genuinely believes what he's saying. It's hard to have objectivity if you're that close to the organization and know the coaches/staff/players as people and not just football personalities.
  14. Nobody's saying that, but what does McDermott have to gain by lying about this particular instance?
  15. We don’t have to speculate. In his press conference yesterday McDermott said it was his decision and his decision alone to move on from Dorsey.
  16. I haven’t read through this whole thread but you’d like to believe he’s under scrutiny at the very least. It feels like he’s been sucked into the defense and the rest of the phases have suffered as a result. Even though he’s been mostly successful at calling the defense, he probably should hand the role off and focus on fixing the morale and game preparation issues they’re facing. I don’t see him being fired this season even though I think it’d be for the best at this point. He might get the entire next season too, honestly.
  17. “I haven’t seen Allen have a tantrum therefore he’s not a good QB” is right up there with the Bob from Cheektowaga WGR call ins. Congratulations.
  18. He may have learned from this experience and been humbled. There was nothing pointing to Daboll being able to run a high flying pass offense when he got to the Bills, he had mediocre success at best in the NFL prior to working with Allen.
  19. Yeah but Allen hurt their feelings. Checkmate.
  20. I'd suggest you don't watch the Bills anymore then. Allen isn't going anywhere and on the verge of sounding rude I'm not sure you have a very strong grasp of the game anyways.
  21. Are we just going to pretend that 2020,2021, and 2022 (injury not withstanding) Allen didn't exist? These are some of the most braindead takes I've heard in my life. You know what you could get for trading Allen with the current contract he has? There are like 23-26 teams out there jealous of what we have in Allen and would drop their QB in a heartbeat for him. You could ask for anything and likely get it. It's so absurd and disconnected from reality to come in and moan about the QB like the Bills have any trouble in that department at all. Allen is the most talented player the franchise has ever lucked into, and goofballs out here are pretending that Ken "I can't develop a route tree" Dorsey and Sean "I crumble quicker than anyone" McDermott are the real stars of the show. Give me a break.
  22. Maybe they can live in team owned apartments too, and only shop at team owned stores.
  23. Again, you’re making a leap of logic. Comfortable isn’t the same as “afraid to reprimand” like the other poster was suggesting.
  24. McDermott, Beane, the whole lot would have already been fired if it wasn't for Allen. Imagine the last few seasons if they had Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold or Josh Rosen.
