AJ Klein: Tremaine Edmunds "a True Mike"
Ya Digg? replied to Thurman#1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As good as those players were, their style wouldn’t get them in the field the way the game is played today. They had to be physical because they weren’t athletic enough to keep up with the running backs back then. I have watched enough film of these guys to think they didn’t play the game the right way-the amount of cheap shots, late hits, etc that they would give so guys wouldn’t go o we the middle to me is embarrassing. But to each their own, I would want my linebackers to be able to go from sideline to sideline as well as being able to cover someone in the passing game. Those guys couldn’t do that -

So honest question to everyone saying he’s not physical enough-name some linebackers in the league that are “physical enough” - You can probably say Bobby Wagner, but go back and watch the Bills game, dude was getting thrown all over the field. This is an honest question though, and are you truly watching enough of all of the other teams linebackers to know if they are more physical? as someone said earlier, the big, thumping linebacker days are over-those guys from years ago wouldn’t have any success I. Today’s game. I think Edmunds problem isn’t not being physical enough, his problem comes from taking the wrong angles and picking the wrong holes Shocking, you’re against a Bills player...are there players on the team that you actually like? -

What’s funny is that some posters on here who can’t give up the idea that he shouldn’t be the Mike are also the same people who get upset when people won’t drop the “Josh Allen is inaccurate” argument -
Week 13: Bills at 49ers on MNF (in Arizona)
Ya Digg? replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Obviously if the fans aren't yelling loud enough at home or posting quick enough in the game day thread the players and coaches can't do their jobs to their full potential -
I’m pretty sure it’s still because of the ONE good game he has had for his entire career...that’s the only explanation I can come up with

NFL Power Rankings Week 13
Ya Digg? replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Oh I definitely agree that they are a good team - you don't get to 11-0 without being very good. As I'm sure every fan base does, we have a tendency to overanalyze our own team and take the 10,000 ft view of all other teams. I think the Bills match up very well with what they do. The Bills let you get the underneath stuff and tackle very well (with the exception of Taron Johnson - that guy is terrible but that's a completely different topic). As you could see yesterday, Baltimore gave them tons of underneath stuff but didn't let the receivers get many YAC. If they had their full team, I think Baltimore wins that game. Couple that with the idea that their defense does not match up well with our offense, especially now that Dupree is done for the year, and I do expect the Bills to win that game -
NFL Power Rankings Week 13

Was coming here to say the same thing - they are undefeated through 11 games so they deserve a high ranking, but I'm really looking forward to the beating the Bills put on them in a couple of weeks. They have barely survived a Dallas team that's going nowhere and a team of essentially 3rd stringers in that Baltimore game today. That being said, it shows that every team towards the top have played games that perhaps they could have won by more or didn't look at great and still won, so I'm very encouraged for these last several games and the playoffs -
Week 12 Post Game thread Bills vs Chargers
Ya Digg? replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Come on man, this stuff still? They’ve played 11 games and have won 8 of them-you don’t get to that point by beating only terrible teams. You’re nitpicking the Bills and using the other teams to fit your narrative. I could easily switch around the narrative foe their losses-for the Tennessee game there was so much uncertainty including game planning for 2 teams, the weather was bad for the KC game, lucky catch on a Hail Mary to lose to Arizona, etc....I mean you’re worried about getting blown out by Pittsburgh-they have some close wins against bad teams this year! the point is every team has had some pretty suspect games this year, that being said you don’t get to 8-3 by only beating cream puffs-this isn’t college football -
I watched him for a while today, and he was single blocked an alarming amount of times! They had Davis try to block him once, Knox blocking him too many times...just boneheaded coaching decisions to leave him 1-on-1

Winning...But Undisciplined and Sloppy
Ya Digg? replied to Wizard's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The unsportsmanlike penalties against both Moss and Davis are laughable, so was the one official who didn’t throw the flag initially on the OPI on San Diego at the end of the game (right before Hail Mary #2🤦♂️) -

Week 12 Bills vs. Chargers PreGame Thread

Considering the Bills haven’t scored a defensive touchdown since I think Sam Adams picked off Tom Brady all those years ago, that is quite the fearless prediction! -
Just like I think people need to pump the brakes when they call someone a bust after one season or even half a season, I think you need to pump the brakes a little bit here. That’s not to say he’s not having a good rookie season, but so did Vince Young, so did RGIII, even Lamar was already in the hall of fame after last season! Point being, give teams a full offseason to game plan foe him before we put him in the hall of fame with Rivers and Brees

They tried to trade up for Brees, teams didn’t want to trade with the Bills

Ex Bills TE Logan Thomas Quietly Having a Great Season
Ya Digg? replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’m honestly trying to think of a TE who left Buffalo and have done so much better. I like Thomas, but he has 300+ yards receiving and 4 touchdowns. While better than Buffalo’s tight ends (but less touchdowns) he not exactly crushing it -
At the rate that people love their hot takes, I’m surprised people aren’t already bashing NEXT years draft picks

Cody Ford out for the Season
Ya Digg? replied to PirateHookerMD's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is a lazy take-I think the Metcalf vs Ford debate has some merit, but Teller had shown nothing and people were excited that the Bills got anything done him -
They already have him locked up, for this season and 3 more after that. I assume you mean to a longer contract? Since they day he signed I can guarantee they have had zero conversations about "locking him up"

Is the NFL Better than Ever Today?
Ya Digg? replied to May Day 10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So fans forget that free agency is a two way street. It’s not always the player wanting to leave-if you think about it in most cases it’s the team wanting to get rid of the player because god forbid the player wants to make some more money. I also don’t see why people get so worked up when guys kneel after A GAME or trade jerseys after A GAME-should these guys be sulking and pouting every time they lose A GAME like an 8 year old child? and I’m sorry but prima donna athletes are a recent thing? They have ALWAYS been a thing. I’ve heard tons of stories of how guys like Dick Butkus were just always a giant piece of crap to everyone they came in contact with, and there’s the guy from the dolphins who sprints to anyone who will talk to him as soon as the last undefeated team for the season loses....prima donna athletes are not a new thing at all. We just recognize it more because of their exposure and social media. Just to make sure it’s known I’m 41 years old, so I certainly don’t consider myself a young fan. I’m just not a fan of people thinking that the older players were such better people than current players, that they were manlier men, that they didn’t (or wouldn’t have if they had the chance) take performance enhancing drugs...it’s just not true -
It’s amazing to me that so many people think these guys weren’t doing things to their bodies back in the 70’s/80’s...they absolutely were because they knew they couldn’t be caught. That’s why they can fake shock/anger/disappointment when current guys get caught. It’s the whole looking at the past through rose colored glasses syndrome

Are you honestly that nervous about Miami and New England? Miami has a special teams and defense that cannot sustain what it’s doing right now. What exactly does New England have that scares you? Pittsburgh will have 1 loss by the time the Bills play them...not my intention to target you specifically, I just don’t understand the narrative about those teams, especially Miami. Tua has done nothing, and once their defense and special teams stop scoring weekly touchdowns they will be losing

Winning teams vs. winning teams
Ya Digg? replied to Tortured Soul's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah but how come we have only beaten the bad 6-3 teams on our schedule, we haven’t beaten any of the good 6–3 teams. Plus 2 of the Bills wins came against the Jets which I believe negates any wins against teams with a winning record. Throw in the fact that they beat the Patriots without Tom Brady so that doesn’t really count, and essentially you have an 0-10 team here -
This wouldnt hurt as much if the Fins werent a game back
Ya Digg? replied to Ramza86's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Miami is NOT a 12-4 team. They still have a couple of losses left on their schedule. They are getting by right now with an unsustainable defense/special teams. They have a rookie QB who is not doing anything special, and now teams have tape on him. I'm not worried about them at all
