  1. I think he’s still traumatized by something that happened when he was a kid...I mean, just imagine what would’ve happened if he would’ve been the starting pitcher instead of the coach’s son!
  2. Do you have a link? I’ve been looking all over and I haven’t seen anything about the type of money he wants
  3. You’re thinking about this as a fan, not a team or player. They all know how this game works-players or teams never shoot down these types of rumors because it does them no benefit. Every team in the league already knows he is only looking at a handful of teams. By not shooting down the Cleveland rumor, that could potentially keep teams like Seattle in the mix, or at least give that illusion. Teams don’t get butt hurt because a player doesn’t deny rumors. My guess is you are hoping he shoots down the rumor because then it still keeps the Bills in the running to get him. I want to see him sign in Buffalo as well but from a business standpoint it doesn’t make sense for him to publicly eliminate a potential team. Honestly think about it, do free agents ever deny rumors about where they may potentially sign?
  4. Why WOULD he dispute those rumors? The more he says, the more he drives down his price. Plus, why does he need to come out publicly and say anything?
  5. Of all fan bases you would think Bills fans would try not to be lazy and just listen to the narrative put out there about players.
  6. Do you think he will sign for less if the team throws in free duffs??
  7. So I’m following what you’re saying, but I do believe we are looking at this COMPLETELY differently. If the Bills have this amazing locker room chemistry that you don’t want to break up, there’s no way Watt would be able to disrupt that. There’s too much leadership on this team for that to happen. From Beane to McDermott, then the players-Allen, Hyde, Diggs, Hughes, Poyer, etc. perhaps you have read/heard/seen things about Watt I haven’t...I have always heard he plays hard for his team, works hard, ex-teammates always talk about how great a teammate he is. Does he have an ego? Sure-but so does every other player in the NFL. He is ring chasing at this point, I don’t think he has plans of coming in and being a disruption. Again I can see where a fan could possibly be worried about taking on a person who has Watt’s influence, but IMO he is definitely worth the risk
  8. So you’re pinning that current situation on Watt?? Yikes, that’s a big time reach
  9. What has he shown in his career that has destroyed locker rooms?
  10. He won’t be cheaper
  11. So you want the Bills to sign a guy for more money than what Watt will get paid and is coming off of an ACL tear and that’s somehow a win for Buffalo?
  12. If some of the people on here who always complain about the Bills cap ran the team, each pro bowl level player would only be allowed to play here if they took a hometown discount and the rest of the roster would be filled with guys who sign for the vet minimum
  13. Is it really a joke on social media if someone doesn’t get unnecessarily offended??
  14. Wait he got released AND bought a house in Cleveland int he same day?? Man, that dude was busy yesterday! Or did he already own a house in Cleveland because what superstar athlete wouldn’t want to own a house in Cleveland??
  15. If Watt goes to Pitt, Cleveland, Tampa, Seattle, I’m going to need one of the “no way can Buffalo afford Watt” people to explain to me how those teams can afford him then
  16. Uhhhhh, you spelled what wron........ohhhhhhh I see what you're doing there!!
  17. There are a lot of eternally butt hurt people in this thread. Brady didn’t play well in the second half because he didn’t have to. He played great in that first half when they needed him to. Did the defense also play well? Yeah they definitely did, but it’s the Super Bowl, I’m pretty sure the defense helps every team get to the Super Bowl. If the throws that Brady made could have been done by any QB in the league, why is he the only one who does it at such a high level consistently year in and year out? as far as the penalties are concerned and I said this in another thread-there wasn’t one penalty called on KC in that first half that wasn’t a penalty. They probably couldn’t ruled the PI to Evans at the end of the first half uncatchable, but there was definitely PI on that play. No those calls weren’t made consistently throughout the year, but they were penalties. As much as I don’t like him, there’s no denying he is still one of the top QB’s in the league and no, there are not 20 other QB’s in the league who would’ve won that game
  18. If they had picked up the flag because they ruled it uncatchable I could definitely see that, but it was pass interference if it was a catchable ball...they do definitely need to be consistent. While I don’t want to see 20+ penalty games every week, if it’s a penalty one week then call it every week
  19. There was literally not a single bad call by the refs in the first half. Each KC penalty was blatant and an easy call for them to make
  20. Rings are definitely part of the discussion, but not the whole discussion. It’s what makes the debate fun (if people are actually allowed to debate things any more without getting offended)-you can make the debate for Manning, Rodgers, Marino, all of these guys, but Brady does have a nice trump card on his side. Let’s be honest, it’s just a lot of bitterness as to why most of us don’t want to say he’s the greatest-maybe not the most talented, but he’s the greatest
  21. Exactly-always made me laugh when people on here continue to say things like “he’s a team player” or “I read he’s a minimalist so he doesn’t really care about money” as if having money doesn’t make you those things. What is he supposed to say anyway-“you know what, I would really like to get paid less than what I feel I’m worth”
  22. I can’t tell if you guys are joking, but I really hope you both are...putting Tannehill and Josh in the same category is a terrible take
  23. Haha I'm sorry I don't mean to nitpick and I actually agree with a lot of what you are saying, but when I read that part right there it made me laugh out loud - like it's some amazing skill to hold the ball on a field goal or extra point!! 😆
  24. So part sarcasm here, part honest question - do you have ANY idea how the salary cap works? I'm going to venture a guess that these front office guys understand it a little bit better than you do. Let the front office do their jobs - they are paid to figure these things out. The fact that you are worried about this 2 days after those 2 just had the greatest seasons in Bills history is a little dramatic. There are ALWAYS ways for teams to work around things like this
  25. I'm not sure if I'm entertained or annoyed with all of the hot takes that have happened since last night
