Best 5 Offensive Lineman Could Be Interesting
Ya Digg? replied to All I Need is Hope's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm with you on this. I keep reading that Feliciano is our nastiest lineman and we need that nastiness. While that could be true (but VERY debatable) there's also a reason why he was cheap. I would rather have him as a backup and a spot starter - he's not good enough to be a full time starter. There were several times last year where he was completely knocked on his butt and the play was blown up because of that. Don't get me wrong, I think he should be on the team, but I don't like him as a starter. Nasty and mean and tough (and whatever other superlatives people are throwing at him) are fine, but I would rather have someone in there who is good -
COVID-19 salary cap hurt Bills more than most
Ya Digg? replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sorry I’m still confused, you’re explaining yourself pretty poorly when it comes to taking in that dead money. They intentionally took that dead money hit so they would have more money for future years. If they would have pushed that money further down the road as you suggest, they would’ve had even less money to spend. The other points you made in hindsight don’t look good, although some of those situations like Spain didn’t seem questionable when they gave him the contract -
There’s already a 2017 draft grade thread started

But again, you are suggesting taking a football player who is not as good as the player they are taking. It gets talked about all the time - in the first round take the best player available. Speed isn't the only thing - if it was Brieda wouldn't be on his third team in 3 years and that prospect you mentioned wouldn't be a 7th round talent. There are several edge rushers taken before the Bills pick in this mock, so you are taking the 5th or 6th best edge rusher in the first round. That is a terrible use of assets. I agree that the Bills need an edge rusher, but not an edge rusher at all costs in the first round just to take an edge rusher

Great, so now the Bills will have used 6 first round picks on him? Did we ever actually figure out how many first round picks were used on him in the first place??

Gabriel Davis - Post TD Celebration
Ya Digg? replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sorry I’m not picking on you specifically, but my question is why? Isn’t this supposed to be entertainment? Aren’t these guys supposed to be having fun? It’s one of the few times the NFL lets these guys show some personality-I just think the whole “act like you’ve been there before” trope is so boring and played out. If they want to hand the ball to the ref, cool...but if they want to celebrate, let them celebrate -
Miami considering trading down from 6
Ya Digg? replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Obviously it depends on what’s being offered. They can’t go back too far and still be able to give Tua reliable weapons to be successful this year. They will probably be the most intriguing team to watch on that first night of the draft -
The end of excuses for defensive draft picks
Ya Digg? replied to Playoff Win's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wait, you’re seriously saying he wouldn’t get on the field over Sam Rogers or John Holacek?? Yikes! Putting that aside doe just a second, you can’t compare older linebackers to now. Most linebackers from the 80’s and 90’s wouldn’t be able to play in today’s game-they weren’t fast enough or athletic enough. I understand that you’re voicing your displeasure about Edmunds and I love a good hyperbole too, just seems a bit too far out there -
2017 Draft Trade - Flip The Template?
Ya Digg? replied to Rigotz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’m going to suggest that you change the trade compensation for Ertz before some of the other members here read your post. No way the Bills would give up a second for Ertz, ESPECIALLY if the Eagles get Pitts (not gonna happen) and have no need for Ertz any more -
Sounds like a great deal for the Falcons! They get this magical third round pick that people around here love to mention so much! And all they have to do is drop 26 spots in the draft to get it!!!

Who is the one player you DON’T want the Bills to draft @30
Ya Digg? replied to NewEra's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
On the flip side of that, is picking up an extra third really worth dropping 15 spots (just as an example)? -
Draft trade thought -- complete & total "what if"
Ya Digg? replied to glazeduck's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dallas would be foolish to make that deal-they get no future picks to trade back 20 spots and, as you said, are getting a linebacker that they are going to have to pay a lot of money to soon -
I’m guessing you weren’t watching football back when they switched from 14 to 16 games, but have you been putting up this fight when someone sets a current record? This one extra game is not going to help set a ton more single season records...yes obviously it helps, but not even close to the rate you are thinking

Are teams trading too many assets to get a QB?
Ya Digg? replied to DefenseWins's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
For a QB no, but I think teams have given up too much to get guys other than QB. The Saints trading up to draft Davenport comes to mind. I think you do what you can to get the QB who you think gets you where you want to be, but teams need to be more prudent when they are trading for non-QB prospects -
Would Josh Allen ever consider a team friendly contract?
Ya Digg? replied to sirebors's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sorry but are you really comparing QB to linebackers?? You do thunder stand the difference? If a QB takes a huge discount, there’s no way that anyone else on that team is going to get paid what they are worth. The front office can just go to the next guy and say “Josh took a discount, so you should too.” I’ve stated this over and over, it’s not Josh’s job to make the salary cap work, that’s up to the front office. So let the front office earn their money, just like Josh had earned his -
Not Sure We Will Repeat as AFCE Champs
Ya Digg? replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't see how the Bills got worse. They are still missing an edge rusher and I don't see one coming, but other than that I find it hard to believe that someone can look at this roster and say they got worse. To be honest I don't get all the love Flores gets in Miami either. Yes, he had a much better than expected first season, but that team had absolutely no fight in them at all the last game of the season when they were playing for the playoffs and the Bills had nothing to play for. None of those other teams in the division have a QB, they all have marginal talent at WR, I don't believe there is a running back to be afraid of...not sure what makes any of those teams a division winner. Sure, the Pats spent a lot of money, but did they get any better on offense? OP, I appreciate you having the balls to put this thread out there, I just don't see how you came to the conclusion you did -
Nobody would offer a future first round pick to get into the very end of the first round
