  1. If you waste a first round pick on a player you plan to not start and rotate in for less than 50% of defensive snaps, it should be grounds for immediate firing.
  2. Absolutely. I don’t even want him as a primary backup, much less a starter. He’s basically a smaller Kiko Alonso, reckless, undisciplined and will kill his own teammates to make an unnecessary roughness hit on a receiver.
  3. I saw some Seattle fans touching themselves over the PFF numbers, claiming he’s better than Fred Warner. They are in for a Boogie sized disappointment.
  4. Breaking news, Russ requests his release 😂
  5. No it failed miserably with Edmunds, his market value was less than they paid for the 5th year option and worse, he outperformed it and then cost 35% more, so much so they had to let him walk. Either you extend or you franchise, you don’t lock yourself into a high risk low reward situation of the 5th year, it’s stupid.
  6. Far more likely to trade down imo, though Beane does seem to force picks, not let it come to him, so a small move up could happen.
  7. I’d be ALL about it if he will take an incentive based deal with a decent signing bonus. Like 2 years, 3M signing bonus, vet min this year and void next year. Play w Allen, boost your value and hope for the best.
  8. You should NOT be signing any 5th year options. Ever. The difference between that and a franchise tag is minimal and it gives you ZERO flexibility to do anything. You either extend or ride it out. If you get a case like Edmunds, it buys you one more year at more than he was worth before the year, and then departing or you get somebody like EO who never answered if he was worth an extension, so you had to gamble anyway. If they had just extended Edmunds, he would have been worth ~ 2/3 of what he got paid, you allowed him to re-set his market. 5th year is nothing but a bargaining chip for teams, if the guy is t worth an extension, you ride it out, if he is, sign it before they add more dollars to that contract. Don’t screw around. It’s fools gold.
  9. I would love to have him, fixes the return issue along with a vet for the slot. I’d prefer Shakir WIN the job, but I don’t want anything handed to anyone on this roster. Gabe Davis taking the job by default was bad enough, don’t need to watch that again.
  10. That’s going to look like a bargain I believe, he was a pretty legit #1 prior to Fields. With all the attention going to London, Pitts and that running game.. they could be realllllly good.
  11. I think he more or less proved the fact, he’s a rhythm kind of guy, needs a little to get it rolling and then he’s good. Never got that with DS and the stupid rotation here.
  12. Like it, if he’s healthy.. that’s always the issue. Wasn’t sure if I wanted him back or not, but my opinion doesn’t really matter lol.
  13. We can agree to disagree, teams have to try to stop Chase, Higgins reaps the rewards. I see him closer to Gabe Davis than a Big time #1.
  14. Good for him, gross over pay, but it’s not my money.
  15. Good for him, he will feast out there with all the attention brought to others.
  16. When you consider the contracts, Love and Purdy are the only ones that really make sense. He’s better than Higgins, just wait till Higgins doesn’t have Chase and Burrow to make him look great. Pittman has been the #1 with pure garbage at QB his whole career.
  17. All depends on the color of his underwear this week.
  18. I wouldn’t take on his contract with no picks involved. Forget about giving up a high pick too.
  19. Seems like a low salary for him, but good for him.
  20. Did you watch Zeke last year? The guy is not done, he looked pretty darn good. He would be a nice compliment to Cook and he can still catch the ball. He’s not being asked to carry the load, just be the #2. That’s not CLOSE to starting money for a DE.
  21. The guy is a whiny brat, he checked out. He never wanted to take a hit, always diving down or going OB, which I get, but when they asked him to play more physical, take passes behind the LoS he quit. His lack of focus was obvious in the drops, etc. He needs a change of scenery, wish the Bills hadn’t trusted him and gave him a contract that makes it almost impossible to offload him without hurting themselves in a bad way.
  22. ALL THIS! You can fill the roster out with replacement level guys when you have TRUE studs. KC won because they have the best player in the league at 3 different positions and one could argue Sneed makes it 4. The only place the Bills have anything near the best is Allen. Kincaid might get there, but not yet, Diggs was among the top WRs, but wasn’t this year (or the back half of last year either), if anyone says Oliver, you need your head checked. It can’t be Allen and a bunch of pretty good guys to unseat Mahomes , MaAuto and Mr. Jones, you ain’t keeping up.
  23. I doubt Jones will be a problem, but you just never know, it’s not hard for something to go wrong in the trenches. Also, like you said, he’s a BIG guy, a lot of stress on that body. For his sake, I hope he’s injury free forever, but we all know how the life of an NFL player can be altered in one step.
