  1. I “CAN” play in the NFL too, doesn’t mean it’s the best option. If the coaches feel the better player for the situation is on the field, it means Cook isn’t good enough at it. The fact you even question why he needs to block shows me all I need to know about your football IQ, so in retrospect, that was 30 seconds of my life I should have used better, but hey, I can try to get you to understand, just like Jimbo “can” be a 3 down back.
  2. My biggest surprise will be if come playoff time it’s not 30% of the starters out with injury.
  3. Don’t discount the fact of Pickens being a complete Asshat. Rodgers or not, this may well be more of a reflection on the person than the player. He’s talented, but Dionte Johnson talked himself off the team and that didn’t play out too well. What’s a guy that disappeared more than Houdini going to offer? His biggest impacts were 15 yard penalties last year. I’m surprised they didn’t make the move before the draft, but whatever.
  4. Barring injury it doesn’t make sense for either party. The Bills cannot hold back progress from Coleman for a guy whose ceiling is a #3. That’s the primary role he would be competing for. Shakir is the lead dog, you paid 12M for Palmer so he’s getting his, Coleman is second year after being their first pick last year, Samuel is the jack knife guy, Moore is a better player with more speed than Davis, so really, he’s got no place on the active roster without displacing a guy they have to give reps to. Even then, he’s at best the 4th option.
  5. I don’t know where you guys have been, Steeler fans are convinced they stole their next Big Ben in the 6th round and are competing for a title this year. It’s fun to watch other teams in the same drought era delusional states that was here for years.
  6. Absolutely. It’s no coincidence that Allen had considerably less ints last season. I like Gabe, but if there’s anything to do with an option route, absolutely freaking not. I like him in the back yard, jump ball role only.
  7. Was just thinking the same thing. He has a shot to go there and get real reps. He’s got no guarantee of anything in Buffalo. At best he wins the #4 role here.
  8. Counter point, what if Rodgers hated him and wants his own guys there, like he does everywhere? This is just clearing space for Lazard. I’m not saying that’s it, but if Pitt is willing to go all in on Metcalf to pair with Pickens, but then after the draft trades Pickens, I suspect this is more like a Diggs move. He’s been a problem since day one and they can still get something of value for him, might actually be addition by subtraction. Ha, we are on the same page.
  9. I’ll judge after the pads and the lights come on. Lots of guys look bad in shorts and crush competition and the exact opposite, so let’s see what he is this year. Rookie season was solid, last year was not, hopefully he’s healthy, smarter and stronger, ready to make himself some money with a big extension next offseason.
  10. Don’t let any get under your finger nails, could end up in places you don’t want it.
  11. I don’t want to judge too much until I see the new D hit the field, that COULD change a lot. At this point, I think Baltimore is the biggest problem with a physical running game, explosive if not great passing game and a D that seemed to have the Bills in check. They beat themselves in the playoffs, honestly I feel there was more luck there than a better team winning. KC is always something and Cinci is going to score, there isn’t a lot that’s going to be easy.
  12. That snot that Anchor Bar tries to pass off as Blue Chz is GROSS. I like Blue cheese, eat it w my wings everywhere, theirs sucks.
  13. Ahh, I read it backwards my bad.
  14. Yes, the fact that list has him as a slot is silly. He’s an outside guy.
  15. While I’m not a big fan of the soft scheme, specifically last season’s talent level was atrocious. I’d argue the only guys who even stand a chance to start on another team in the secondary are Benford and Johnson. He got a lot from a little, but it eventually caught up.
  16. If he continues to be average at best AND the young guns are eating his reps, you take the savings and the roster spot. To me, the fact they have drafted 3 guys in the last 2 drafts and signed another that can/will play his position is a shot across the bow.
  17. June 1st designation frees up ~10M in cap, if he’s not earning it..
  18. I don’t think anyone disputes seeing Rousseau a lot more.
  19. Nah, not really. As of next year, his cap his is 24M and dead cap at 21, there’s a way out right there. Could post June 1 cut him and save a boat load. He needs to earn it again this year.
  20. Every one of them had a career year with JA, but you say they are the same guy. I say, they all got elevated by JA. If Moore does the same, he could be an 800 yard receiver. Will it happen? Who knows in the Brady scheme.
  21. You can sure argue ball placement. Dick move by the Browns. So John Brown, Cole Beasley and Diggs all just remained the same when they got JA throwing them the ball. Oh wait..
  22. Doubt it. You let him walk and take the comp pick.
  23. And there’s the truth. This team NEEDED to restock the D with young talent, they did it. Another PS WR wasn’t needed. Now they are going to plug the gap with a cheap vet that has proven he can fill a role at the NFL level. If you know anything about me, I’m not typically a Beane supporter, but I love the strategy this offseason. I am not proclaiming to have a magic 8 ball on his individual choices and boy do I question Palmer, but the concept he executed is actually brilliant.
  24. out of curiosity, what have the Packers won recently?
  25. With valid reason, the commitments made at WR with contracts to Palmer, Shakir and Samuel make them locks, the 2nd round pick on Keon means you have to give him his opportunity. There was no more money to spend and no real talent to make any difference in this draft, they restocked the D and replaced Knox for next offseason so they can make moves on the O. What do you want? Push one of the aforementioned to the 5th WR role and still have gapping holes on the D?
