  1. Thats a really good comp, I was trying to think about the “name of that guy from the Chiefs who was similar” you nailed it for me haha. Cook is interesting because he’s not big and brawny, but he still packs a punch. His real talent is the vision and speed, which he’s put on display of late. I’m happy to say, I was dead wrong, he deserved the contract.
  2. I do get that part, but that said, at some point you have to make the most of your opportunities. I think he may have made a bad choice in losing weight, he’s still not real fast and seems like he’s easier to stop. Most baffling to me is the lack of vision, both Cook and Johnson seem to be in another world in comparison.
  3. In fairness, Davis is making it tough to justify putting him on the field. I was big on him coming out, even thought he would take the lead role. He’s been below replacement level this season.
  4. This is one of the best things I’ve ever read here. The thing is, despite Babich looking underwhelming, the D-Line not being greats d McDs propensity to choke, Josh Allen still calls Buffalo home and until that changes, you are in every game. The team/organization isn’t without (many) flaws, but all in all it’s a hell of a team and they have a chance to be really special this year. BUT if they lose to the Saints, everything is out the window and the lynch mob will be out.
  5. Nah, if the team is relatively healthy, you go for a win. There’s no reason to not ruin even more Dolphins’ season.
  6. All true, with relative health, this schedule and this team COULD threaten to go undefeated and that’s no hyperbole. They won the toughest game of the year. There are only 3 games where is should be even close, Bucs, KC, and Philly are all dangerous, but in my view, as it stands today, the only team that looks the part is Philly right now. Of course, the Bills will theoretically be dealing with KC with their weapons back at WR when they play and that makes things more interesting. The other part of that equation is KC might already find themselves in a do or die scenario if things keep going south for them. It’s WAAAAAY too early to read a lot into what’s happened thus far. If they get past the Bucs and KC the talk of undefeated is going to heat up. All that said, nothing is a given in this league and it could all unravel for the Bills too. In one sense, this team has been so good with no real stars, that injury should be less scary, on the other hand, there’s one guy that has to be healthy or it all crashes down. Hopefully, the big names stay healthy and there isn’t the traditional 2 let down games this year or if they do come out with one, they can rally the troops and find a way to win. It could be a very special year.
  7. Not to mention all the pressure of a new stadium and being the defending SB champs, 2026 looks tough.
  8. Actually, yes. The Giants D is REAL, the offense may be much less offensive with Dart or it may somehow be worse. The biggest thing is, there’s no tape on the guy and he CAN move and one would hope he can at least throw the ball to his WRs not DBs, we’ll see on that. The Chargers have been rolling, but I’m not a believer yet and the Giants are a dumpster fire, but I’m not sure a LOT of that wasn’t just Russ’ cookin. I don’t like Detroit at Cleveland either, again that D is something else. The O scores in spurts, it wouldn’t shock me to see a Det let down and Cleveland find a way to win. The Bills are the clear safe pick.
  9. Did he? Or did he lose 30M by not getting the contract done sooner and playing on the original rookie deal, unlike any other superstar? Yeah, he’s a real winner in all that.
  10. That would be the only way there is anything in the works, the CFL doesn’t make enough to pay a starting QB in the NFL with all of their revenue combined, there is no threat/competative reason for the NFL to care about the CFL.
  11. If he wants to win and be used correctly, he’s not going to that dumpster fire.
  12. The problem is, he’d be in for 3 quarters anyway, might as well just give him 4. There is NO way, Daboll could go in that locker room and say “Russ gives us the best chance to win” after the first 3 weeks and have any prayer of keeping the team playing for him. It was over for Wilson, now you had to choose between 1:1 TD to INT or the Rookie. He must believe Dart can do more than Jameo at this point or at least it’s what ownership wants to see and it’s his best chance to stay employed. I don’t put a lot of stake in the idea Daboll “developed” Josh, so much as it was Josh was on the rise, they added talent around him and gave him a relatively easy system to run for his skill set and it all worked.
  13. The guy is talented, the fact he can’t get a long term contract and has bounced around a lot, raises red flags. Talent wise, I’d take him as a rental.
  14. My money is the Chiefs get curb stomped. That team sucks right now. The Ravens have lost tight games, to top 5 teams, all really related to Henry fumbles.
  15. Russ should be shown the bench at half, either of the other guys could not be worse.
  16. Ever heard of causation vs correlation? Haha, yeah he had it all worked out, just sit back and wait for an all time record comeback in the last 4 minutes. Let’s be honest, there are 2 plays in the last 2 Raven games that have allowed the Bills to win games they really shouldn’t have. Andrews drop and a very unlikely fumble by Henry, let’s not act like McD had it all under control.
  17. McD = Tony Dungy. He’s too nice to fire unless the owner grows a pair and history says that’s not happening.
  18. Hi👋 , that was me and I was absolutely wrong. Cook IS dramatically better than Davis and Johnson and really is a difference maker. I didn’t think it was worth paying him, in just 3 games, he’s proven he is one of the best in the business and somehow looks even better than he did last year. Also, Ray Davis has to be the most disappointing guy on the roster this year, he’s a massive drop off from either Cook or Johnson.
  19. This is why I said contract extensions to guys like him, Oliver, Bernard are the killers in ever getting over the hump. You can’t tie that money up in guys who are marginally better than average. You need studs somewhere on the team and when you pay a bunch of guys who are just “good” you don’t get better. The defense is a perfect example of it. The ONLY player on the D who was worth extending is Benford and you won’t convince me otherwise. Everyone else could have been/should have been replaced with another rental vet like Bosa and got more for it. For the money they paid Groot, the could have signed Bosa and Floyd and a starting safety, tell me the team wouldn’t be better that way.
  20. The only pressure the other team has felt is from Bosa and the interior line, don’t know what you are watching.
  21. Great post. Allen is so special, it’s unreal. Watching him play vs virtually anyone else it’s night and day. There are guys who do certain things a little bit better, but the only guy out there that’s comparable as a total player is Mahomes and at this point, I genuinely believe Allen is better. Watching the Bears vs. Vikes the other night made it so clear how lucky we are, two high 1st round QBs and combined, they aren’t half of JA. You see Stroud, who I thought was going to become THE man after his rookie campaign and he’s just “good”. Daniels is good, but so far this season hasn’t looked like he’s taking the next step. Herbert has talent, but has yet to show he is the man when it matters. Burrow is a touch better passer, but injury and lack of wheels is an issue. That’s basically it, who else is on the same planet?
  22. This right here. He sits in the pocket FOREVER and gets lit up for it. He seems almost to have no awareness of what’s going on around him. It is a superpower for hanging in and making a throw, it’s also going to get him hurt (again).
  23. Fields was consistently bad again yesterday, Glenn must have really reached him.
  24. He did what he needed to do, not more, not less. The Jets actually did a pretty good job against the receivers, but there was room to run, so they did.
  25. That’s some praise. I think he’s almost a clone of Robert Smith from the Vikings, just a different, highly effective RB that can do a bit of everything. He’s been really good the last 2 years.
